    Hello, we're Higher Power Raw Foods. We're a small family-owned business located in the hills of beautiful Southern Oregon. We purchase and sell only high-vibration organically grown foods and we handle those foods in a manner that meets or exceeds the expectations of the organic-certification agencies.
    Our premium products are hand-crafted in small batches. The raw nuts & seeds are soaked, drained, rinsed in the crystal clear waters of Ashland, Oregon, and then dried slowly in food dehydrators over the course of 3 to 5 days. This brings out the natural nutty flavor and maximizes the nutritional value. Also known as “sprouting” this soaking process increases the vitamin C, vitamin B, and carotene content compared to an un-sprouted seed or nut. Sprouting also neutralizes phytic acid which inhibits our bodies from absorbing calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc and other nutrients. As an example, ancient civilizations found they could prevent scurvy by germinating their mung beans before eating them.
    We intentionally don’t season our nuts & seeds so you can use them in any recipe. Use them to create your own crunchy-granola. Mix them with your favorite dried fruits to make your own custom trail mix blend. Conversely, try a savory seasoning of garlic and chili powder! Or, grind the nuts in a coffee grinder to make a type of raw-food-pie-crust similar to a graham cracker crust. Sprinkle our seeds onto salad greens or fruit salads. Stir chopped nuts into any nut butter and serve with apple slices & celery sticks. Eat them by the handful. Give them to your children. Tell a friend.

    In ancient societies as the Maya culture I guess, they used to put the wraps on flat stones in the sun. So the sun dried them naturally 🙂☀️

    Is it a bad idea to just soak the flax and put them into the mixture moist and whole instead of drying and grinding?

    • @ruthiecane4683
      @ruthiecane4683 9 місяців тому

      No it’s not a bad idea. Soaking them for 5 minutes is enough and just add it to your recipe. It works as an egg replacement to hold things together. You don’t have to dry it

    Is it necessary to soak the flax and pumpkin seeds before grinding? Can’t we just use them straight after grinding without soaking first?

    I was desperate to see how you closed the last wrap since you had so much food it there....? Did it even close? Or was it more of an ‘open sandwich’ instead....?

    What does soaking and then dehydrating the seeds do?

    Isn't dehydration considered "cooking"

    I think it's funny when people call something raw after putting it into a low heated vessel like a dehydrator

    • @hissonshinegirl
      @hissonshinegirl Рік тому +5

      Because it does not cook but removes the moisture

      I lije having a recipe, too, but instead of complaining about it, I wrote it down for everyone in the comments section.
      You’re like one of those restaurant employees who takes more time to complain about something being empty than filling it yourself for everyone.
