A.I is being modest as fuck. This is the era where they finally figured out how to win championships with a shoot first PG as the #1 option on offense. Instead of playing SG, he'd be back to the PG position and he's be able to defend his opponents better because of it (he was a decent PG defender, wasn't very effective defending SGs due to size). He'd also pay higher attention to his %s and 3 point shot since he'd lose his stardom if he didn't (not that his FG% was bad since he was 44-46% when surrounded by talent on offense). With the ticky-tacky fouls he'd see himself go to the line more, plus since he only spent the second half of his career after the rule changes, the first half of his career would look much better due to more opportunities to drive to the rim, not to mention less elite big men camping in the paint. His numbers got much better after the Jordan era finished and the rules were changed to cater more to perimeter players. The only question that remains is whether he can turn himself into a decent three point shooter (35%+) or not, I don't think getting over 35% is out of the ball park for him if he focuses on it (he unintentionally shot 34.1% in 97, 00 seasons and 35% for his first two seasons in Denver)
Good points but you also got to put into account guards both pg and sg are much faster and stronger today I feel like he wouldn't be able to dominate with his speed as easily as he did because there would be more guys able to keep up but on the defensive side I completely agree

A.I is being modest as fuck. This is the era where they finally figured out how to win championships with a shoot first PG as the #1 option on offense. Instead of playing SG, he'd be back to the PG position and he's be able to defend his opponents better because of it (he was a decent PG defender, wasn't very effective defending SGs due to size). He'd also pay higher attention to his %s and 3 point shot since he'd lose his stardom if he didn't (not that his FG% was bad since he was 44-46% when surrounded by talent on offense). With the ticky-tacky fouls he'd see himself go to the line more, plus since he only spent the second half of his career after the rule changes, the first half of his career would look much better due to more opportunities to drive to the rim, not to mention less elite big men camping in the paint. His numbers got much better after the Jordan era finished and the rules were changed to cater more to perimeter players.
The only question that remains is whether he can turn himself into a decent three point shooter (35%+) or not, I don't think getting over 35% is out of the ball park for him if he focuses on it (he unintentionally shot 34.1% in 97, 00 seasons and 35% for his first two seasons in Denver)
Good points but you also got to put into account guards both pg and sg are much faster and stronger today I feel like he wouldn't be able to dominate with his speed as easily as he did because there would be more guys able to keep up but on the defensive side I completely agree
