    • @alterhaudegen1

As usual every generetation thinks they're better and tougher than the next one....Of course AI would average 40, Jordan 50, Bird 60 and Wilt 70 points per game. Good to see AI appreciate the current league.

    • @lyhthegreat

The average NBA player is more athletic and more skilful than ever before. I'd expect Shaq and Yao to have much bigger impacts in today's game than AI.

    • @shadapakap

Mike Tyson was once asked about what he thinks of boxing today and if there would be anybody who could beat him or touch him at all and everybody were laughing, but he was very serious and said that he don't know. Because the sport has changed since he was active.
They have more knowledge about how to get fit and stay fit, their workouts are better and more efficient and boxing today has built on boxing in the generations before. He was amazing in his era and one of the most dominant ever, but that doesn't translate it to him having the exact same career now. Every era has itæs own life.
And I think this is also part of what AI understand. Every era is different. The trully great players of the game will probably be able to adapt and playu well in different era's. AI would most likely be an extreme athlete today and the most extreme athletes of today would most likely be able to adapt to earlier eraæs had they been given a chance.

A.I is being modest as fuck. This is the era where they finally figured out how to win championships with a shoot first PG as the #1 option on offense. Instead of playing SG, he'd be back to the PG position and he's be able to defend his opponents better because of it (he was a decent PG defender, wasn't very effective defending SGs due to size). He'd also pay higher attention to his %s and 3 point shot since he'd lose his stardom if he didn't (not that his FG% was bad since he was 44-46% when surrounded by talent on offense). With the ticky-tacky fouls he'd see himself go to the line more, plus since he only spent the second half of his career after the rule changes, the first half of his career would look much better due to more opportunities to drive to the rim, not to mention less elite big men camping in the paint. His numbers got much better after the Jordan era finished and the rules were changed to cater more to perimeter players.
The only question that remains is whether he can turn himself into a decent three point shooter (35%+) or not, I don't think getting over 35% is out of the ball park for him if he focuses on it (he unintentionally shot 34.1% in 97, 00 seasons and 35% for his first two seasons in Denver)

Good points but you also got to put into account guards both pg and sg are much faster and stronger today I feel like he wouldn't be able to dominate with his speed as easily as he did because there would be more guys able to keep up but on the defensive side I completely agree

Guards are much faster and stronger today than they were 15 years ago? Is this a joke because it's completely ridiculous.

+New Royal (The HypeGawd) It's only been like 8 years since Iverson last dominated/was great. You're acting like he played in the 1960s.
