What's the difference between sheen and shimmer inks? Is hot pressed paper better to reveal the multi tone effect?
Sheen is the concentrated dye (the ingredients that make up the color of the ink) deposited on paper, showing a metallic effect on paper.
Shimmer is the glitters added in the inks, to make the ink color glittery, on top of whatever the ink color is.
Compared to cold pressed watercolor paper, hot pressed watercolor paper usually is a bit better showing ink colors due to reduced diffuse reflection from the smooth surface. However, depending on the reaction between different inks and paper, the multichromatic effect can look different. If you want the best multichromatic effect, I would recommend using paper specific for fountain pen inks, such as Bank Paper and Tomoe River Paper

I hope you take this as helpful criticism. I stopped watching after hearing, “This is a French company- I believe.” If you’re going to be putting together videos where you purport to be a resident expert on the topic, you must know your facts with 100% certitude. Also, and this is important especially in hobbies where a large percentage of the market is highly educated, learn to properly pronounce the brand names you are trying to sell. To not do so conveys a disregard for other cultures.
