This is my favourite FWP ink. I like a bunch of their inks, whole-bottle worthy; but this one has never not been in a pen since I bought it. I currently have it in a Broad Stub Italic Gradient nib (the grind is available from Franklin-Christoph), and like it so much I have immediately reloaded it after writing it dry. I have other pens/nibs I also like with this ink. I am sad it is just a limited edition and not a regular production ink…although Ferris Wheel Press also have some great regular production inks. I have certainly become a bigger fan of shimmer (glitter) inks since FWP has brought out such great ones. Formerly I didn’t like shimmer inks for writing, and mainly used the Diamine shimmer inks in my collection for art. Nowadays I typically have more than one FWP shimmer ink in my EDC.
Thanks for the heads up about the bottle instability. I might set up some paperweights around it cause I'm too clumsy. PS I think your kid was thinking of the word "futon!" Smart.
Sounds like your kiddo is into pens and ink. This can be wonderful to work together. As for tHe bottle how easy is to fill w say mb 149. I worry about it tipping over…
He enjoys making the videos and is interested in pens and art supplies. The bottle has a good size opening so should be good with a 149. I worry about tipping the bottle too but so far I haven't. I've seen special holders for the bottles that have been 3d printed.
I just bought this ink last week. It’s really lovely… like a deconstructed black with the gold red and blue separated out. While the bottle is beautiful I’m not a fan of the shape, as it’s a bit tippy. This would be a great ink to paint with.
I'd like to try it in my Lamy vista black (gouletpens exclusive) with the new cursive nib from lamy. Some shimmering inks tend to be difficult to clean. Did it clean well?
Hi, I have read at forums of people having issues with this ink clogging pens, did you have any of that issue? I'm planning of putting it in a Pelikan M800 medium nib and just want to know if it will clog up the pen. Thanks in advance.
I only put it in inexpensive pens mainly as a fear that it might clog the pen. Though so far it hasn't caused any problems for me, but I would worry about putting it in a Pelikan M800.
@@sherwinlimcastro Late but: I've seen someone else on here put FWP shimmer ink in their M600 so I'm sure it could be put in an M800. If you're worried about hurting the pen in some way, any Waterman, Sailor, Parker, Montblanc, Pilot, Pelikan or Diamine (minus the shimmers those even clog my Twsbi eco in broad if i have them in the pen for more than a few hours) are all good relatively well behaved Inks. Certain Noodler's inks are good but I'd avoid Baystate inks and Rachmaninoff just based on personal experience. Baystate Blue and Baystate Concord Grape both stained and Rachmaninoff and others in the Russian line clog if you don't dilute the ink a little bit in most of my pens. Those are what I'd recommend if you haven't found one already.
I spent $100 dollars on Ferris wheel after watching your video! 😂❤ To be honest I got my first fountain pen back during 2020 and it was from Nostalgia-Impressions and it cost $50 dollars but now they don't even sale the pen anymore. 😢 So thank you for the video❤
Wholly impractical bottle. What happened to makers of stationery goods who took such matters into consideration when designing what should be an inkwell-bottle? Filling a piston or vac FP would be nearly impossible without stabilization. I found that aspect disappointing, but your feline assistant truly made this video! I have three and am fully familiar with their desire to be “helpful” at the most inopportune times! 😸Haha!
Your kid is super adorable. I enjoyed hearing his inputs throughout the video!
Thank you! He's fun to work with.

I'll be adding more of their inks to my collection. Beautiful stuff!
Love it when the cat walked over the ink. 🤣
She's a great help.
that's a beautiful black inc. It reminds me of oil slicks you see on the road after it rains - all the beautiful rich swirls of colour!
It is a beautiful colour, and when dry the the gold shimmer is very strong.
Such a lovely ink. And your helper was adorable. 🥰
Thank you Amy. He really is fun to have helping!
Love this ink. I wished they would have put it in a globe bottle.. Nice presentation.👍🏽
I'm really liking this ink too. I'll have to try some of the globe bottles.
It is such a stunning shimmer ink!
It's beautiful. I have it in a Pelikan 12 with a medium nib.

So far I've not spilt it, but I also feel like disaster is about to strike whenever I open the bottle.
What a gorgeous ink. I'll have to grab a bottle or two while it's still available! I think it'd pair well very nicely with a Pilot E95s :)
I put mine in a Pelikan 12 with a medium nib. Looks great!
Thank you for this video. I find this ink beautiful. ☺ P.S. Your assistant did a great job! ☺
It is a beautiful colour, and it's a lot of fun having help from my son.
Beautiful color and bottle!
It is very nice and they really put some thought into their packaging.
This ink is gorgeous. Just subscribed. I have a feeling your channel is going to be awful for my bank account though, hahaha.
Thanks for subscribing! And sorry LOL!

Great review!

It cleaned fairly well. I might get a Platinum Preppy and eyedropper it. I do worry about shimmer inks too.
@@PEIPenGuy thank you!

@@PEIPenGuy thank you very much for this advice, I think I will put it in a Twsbi with Medium nib. Any advice on what ink to put in a Pelikan M800? 😁

My cats are always helpful! I'm surprised that I haven't spilled this ink yet.
