    From that article you cited, ceriated had the lowest Ev required for an arc start making it the easiest to start the arc at low amperages.

    I love your Miller auto darkening hood brother. That’s the same exact one I’ve been wanting to get for the past couple years. How do ya like that hood overall?

    Great video, just one question, is there just a good all round/all purpose tungsten for beginners to use for welding mild steel?

    • @BakersGas
      @BakersGas  4 роки тому +1

      2% Ceriated is a good general one for mild steel. Also E3 is popular and very versatile.

    @jonathangarzon2798 Рік тому +1

    Red is HORRIBLE on AC in any amperage, if you aren't running stainless I'd recommend you leave it be, it seems to leave the weld puddle dirtier even on cleaned (brushed, acetone, and sweated) aluminum

      Rare earth it's non radioactive and it's what I'd recommend to everyone until you are skilled enough to find the short comings in a specific specific job. Which then if you are the guy who have that skill you aren't watching UA-cam videos. I'm trying to find a video recommending a electrode for Tig brazing cast iron.

    2% Ceriated (Blue) works best for me on aluminum. No dirty look at start and pretty looking dime appearance. One big thing on any tungsten id dipping it. If it happens I cut of between 1/2" to 3/4" and re-sharpen. It makes a big difference if you want pretty welds.
    Also blue makes a smooth arc with no popping noises.

  • @scottkiddx
    @scottkiddx 11 місяців тому +1

    Nah man bad video.. If someone knew ALL the types of words your thrashing through, you don't mention colors, fiddling with sticks, then naming them with no reference to color... This video is one that i would rate "worst". :) re-do it, I would never put out a hack like this.
