    I didn't want a 10 pack, but that's all my local had, but now SO happy I did! For that having 9 other sharpened ready to go after sticking the tip.

    HTP sells all tungsten types at the same price, and from what I’ve seen, they seem to be one of, if not he cheapest that I have found for tungsten

    I always wondered what the difference is between 1.5% Lanthanated vs 2%. Good detail.

    We've worked on it, but soundproofing a room made for welding is not that easy. The camera doesn't support a lapel mike (not practical at this point). I like to Think of it as "cheap" reverb. But I understand your complaint. The majority of people don't have an issue, although it isn't perfect, and it could possibly be a larger problem with your audio on your speakers.

    Transformers do not treat the tungsten as harsh, especially on AC. The switching speeds and the wave form of an inverter can show up small differences.

    I'm new to TIG, i didn't realize that the Red one was slightly radio active.
    There should be some kind of health warning on the box - advising to avoid the dust.
    Ive ground mine a number of times without knowing .....
    i hope i don't start glowing :-)

      There is...on the sheet usually included with most brands in the case. It's actualy an Alpha emitter. It doesn't take much to stop an alpha emitter...something like a sheet of paper. It's low grade. Although I am no expert in radiation and have not verified it, I've been told things like glow in the dark dials on old watches emitted more.

      Grinding radioactive tungsten is less detrimental to your health than breathing the carcinogenic benzine contained in gasoline. So unless your planning on moving to Antarctica, i wouldnt worry about it.

    • @everlastgenerator
      @everlastgenerator  7 років тому +1

      Any will work fine besides Pure Tungsten and Zirconiated. You do not ball tungsten in an inverter.

    Very very informative without coming to any exact point all that I know for sure have to watching this is that you can use the red tungsten on AC or DC with some damage to the end of the tungsten possibly have it in the rest we just know they have certain things but never was said this is tested better on AC or this other one is tested better for DC all that I really got out of this other than a lot of information on the Constance is the red one will work good with AC or DC with some problems of cracking or balling up stuff like that not very helpful at all

    Thoriated has been redacted in favor of Lanthanated (Zircon and Lanthanum combined with the Tungsten).

    Hi Guys, I'm currently in welding school and trying to build a basic inventory to start a welding/fab shop after I retire from the military next year. Obviously I want to save as much money as possible while getting quality equipment that will last. From what I've seen, Everlast and AHP are making some great equipment, but your BBB rating is horrible. It seems that most of the UA-cam reviews are perhaps propping you guys up artificially...OR you're really trying to correct your past mistakes. I am very interested in the Power Tig 315. Can you give me a compelling reason to trust that your company has turned the corner from what got you the "F" in the BBB? Can you compel me to go with your company instead of buying a Miller/Lincoln. I don't mean equipment...I mean your business/customer service. I want to trust you guys...but there's a lot of negative perception to overcome. You can e-mail me privately (ask for my email) or answer publicly...which would help other concerned patrons.
    Thank You,
    Chris Phillips

      Better Business Bureau is "Pay to Play". You pay them they automatically give you a better rating and make things "go away". We don't participate with them and it is an arbitrary assignment. You can find companies with far worse issues, and troubles with B's and A's, but they pay them soo...And so many of the reports from customers are outright attempts at blackmail. People even wanting "free" product or warranty extended to out of warranty prouducts. We operate a business with a product where most of our sales are direct and online. We also have no middle man in many cases where they can return the product to and complain locally. The natural outlet instead of complaining to a counter man, is to complain whereever they feel they can do the most damage the quickest, and in many cases, not direct to us. Not saying we are without blemish or never had any issues, but the overwhelming majority are cases as I have described above. We've even had customers try to return "import" product that someone painted our color and returned to Amazon and they resold it as our equipment and the customer insisted we make good on the warranty, even though it wasn't our product, and we didn't even sell a comparable item. Guess where they went to complain when we took the time to detail the product wasn't ours? If you want to learn more about this BBB practice, which continues still despite what they say they are doing: www.google.com/search?q=BBB+pay+to+play&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

      Okay, that's a start (and thank you for replying), but on every forum on the internet, someone has something bad to say about Everlast equipment or customer service. Have you made strides in improving either the actual or perception of your products/customer service. I seriously want to take the risk, but I'm looking for some re-assurance that Everlast is a stand up company that will take care of us customers for legitimate issues. You guys who are assembling in China (you and AHP) seem to be making incredible machines that ALMOST sell themselves since they are actually better in many regards to the Miller/Lincolns. My bottom line is are you guys truly trying to serve your customers and make sure that we have a good experience. Remember, if you do your customers well, you will likely have return customers...if your product is as good as all the UA-cam video's make them out to be.

      We have well over 100k units in the field. You have to put that in perspective with the issues you see and complaints you hear. We have repeat customers, with a shop full of our product. You can join our forum on our website and see that. You can also see that from plenty of "other" customers on youtube. We only advertise with 2 or 3 guys. But really the whole issue goes back to we do produce our units in China, and there is a large kickback against any US based company producing offshore. But there is a huge misconception about who is producing where. Miller/Lincoln are considered US companies, but everyone else is considered "chi-com". But Miller/Lincoln are producing offshore a large percentage of their products, but it isn't as well known. We are also a much smaller company. We do not have the same resources a Miller/Lincoln to cover every single base that they do in advertising, marketing, and literature and don't have the ability to like they do to put a dealer on every street corner. Nor can we offer our best dealer's salesmen financial kickbacks and trips to exotic places for doing a great job in sales We prefer to put our energy into doing what we can to make a great product and make continual improvements, while maintaining prices. We don't have as many repair centers, with only 3 in the US right now. But people's complaints about repair times are usually taken out of context, and they have little reference to refer to as they are either new to welding or have limited experience in the welding business. From my own experience and other customers who are professionals in the industry, who I talk with regularly, they are not out of line. You only hear about customers that didn't get this or had this issue, or think something should be one way or the other. We also have plenty of arm chair critics that have an opinion on how we should grow or behave as a company. For sure we have made mistakes, but we try to rectify it as soon as possible. But most real and verifiable issues are "growing pains". We aren't Lincoln or Miller and can't show 100 years of business on the books. I can assure you that they have and are currently laying a few "eggs" of their own. But they are too big to fail, or at least they have that perception. If you want to overpay for something to have a (although somewhat false) peace of mind, those are the companies for you. But we offer a better price, and a more personalized service than they do while offering a competitive product.

    • @chrisphillips3354
      @chrisphillips3354 8 років тому +1

      +Everlast Power Equipment I in fact don't want to pay those guys for that false sense of peace of mind...and yes, I'm aware that they are not the "American made" companies they claim to be. You answering me straight forward and honestly is what I was looking for. I have seen the capabilities of some of these machines and am really impressed...especially when an honest comparison is made to the "equivalent" Linc/Millers. The capabilities for the dollar amount is crazy compared to them (duty cycle stands out as a big one). Please understand that I asked these questions in public to give you the opportunity to explain some of these misconceptions and "sell" me on your company. I wasn't trying to make you look bad, and I think you've done a fair job explaining it. I appreciate your time and efforts to put me at ease about making a significant investment with your equipment. My only concern now is the longevity of the equipment in the long run. Still though, with your warranty, and the original price point, I hope it will have paid for itself many times over.
      Thank You! Any chance for a discount? LOL!
      Chris

    For everybody that has watched this video do not buy a Everlast machine if you live in Canada there's only one place that serves the machine and that is in Ontario
    The machine that I bought from everlasting what is kept in the cardboard box for two years and 11 months at the time the warranty said three years I didn't need to do any welding within that period of time so I took it out of the box put it in my shop and let it sit there for another two months then came to time to start welding with the machine I welded for on and off for about 2 1/2 hours I was welding aluminum of the time and suddenly the pulse frequency started failing
    So I got in touch with the company in United States there was a salesman that got on the phone took all the information and said they would get back to me in an email they never replied to my email they completely ignored me
    So I was left to contact the only place where they would fix it in Ontario and they told me that I had to send the machine to them I had a red sealed 15 year experience welder to run the machine and they told me it wasn't set properly I told the person on the phone in Ontario that this man was a 15 year experience welder what is red seal
    So now it's costing me $425 to get this machine shipped out to Ontario so they could fix it and that's why I'm telling you if you live in Canada do not buy that machine
    You have no idea how pissed off I am of everything you sell the machine no matter where you are you should get a good service specially when this machine costs thousands of dollars
