I love how Lucifer gets into the fight. I interpreted it as: They had an agreement. Heaven leaves his daughter alone, and he let's them do what they want Adam hurt Charlie, so the agreement/contract had been broken.
Vox being the fanboy thats ignored by Alastor is the best way to explain their relationship, Vox is like the fanboy kid from the Incredibles that just kept getting rejected by them
Sir Pentious went from the comic relief character to an absolute Chad in the span of 8 episodes. He kissed his crush, attempted to kill the first man on Earth, and sacrificed himself to save his friends, only to get clapped and get redeemed into Hevean. We will all definitely remember it for a long time. He was a real one! Oh, and remember when Niffty said he is not a bad boy? What a hell of foreshadowing.
It was instantly obvious that Alastor would lose to Adam when Adam didn't even know who Alastor was. That was a callback to Alastor not knowing Pentious. So weak by comparison, not even important enough to know who they are.
In the grand scheme of things, unless alastor is special because he was given more power by someone, he is still only an overlord... There are still 4 more tiers of strength above him in Hell alone not including angels...
it's a good way of illustrating power levels, pentious, a regular sinner, has no hope against an angel, a tremendously powerful overlord sinner is at best, a glass cannon, alastor held his own, but wasn't doing much real damage and was nearly killed the instant he took a single blow, then charlie, puts up a good fight despite being very poor at fighting, showing just how strong she truly is compared to alastor, and then, Lucifer, who does know how to fight, and doesn't hold back like charlie, so far surpasses Adam that its the reverse of Adam vs. Alastor, or even pentious, Adam poses zero threat to lucifer, so he toys with him until he hurts Charlie, at which point Lucifer instantly defeats Adam (with a slight assist from Charlie showing a tiny flash of her true power as a nephalim)
The actual reason, though, is that Alastor took exactly none of Carmine's advice. (He can still claim credit for getting that advice, and bringing Nifty, so what he said to Adam was technically correct.)
Yeah Adam is stronger than any overlord in my opinion due to his divine power/ranking. But he can be killed since he is very brash with his fighting style and unfocused
I find it interesting how Lucifer never really even tried seriously fighting Adam, rather just resorted to mocking him. But when Charlie was in harms way because of him, he really showed his power at the fact he Adam almost killed his daughter.
likewise, when Lucifer is in danger after diving to catch charlie, you see her show her true power to save him, if only just for a moment. (when her arm changes and she catches the punch)
36:30 my theory Is that God in this universe is less of a physical person who hangs out in heaven and more of an omnipresent force, which is why the angels are the ones at the top. its also funny that Pentious gets teleported directly to sera's office (or wherever they were), as if God were passive aggressively saying "here's your fucking proof"
Another thing with Pentious being sent straight to the Seraphim, His design looks more Seraph-like now instead, his Snake Hood is also now more designed as if it were 6 'winged' instead of a full hood, a neat little detail I stopped on my first watch.
Yeah and there is also the mystery of the eyes in heaven. When sera got upset at Emily for questioning the system, her whole body gets covered in eyes (ep 6 after the second song) seems like God or the elder angels are watching through her. This happens to Emily during the second song too.
@@VegaVermilionVODSI actually think it would be really cool if Sir Pentious became a high-standing angel. Being (apparently) the first redeemed demon sinner, I’m certain that would give him some real prestige! Not sure about his physical power, but he should have high influence in heaven at the very least.
24:14 when adams mask glitches out, its probably the moment the contract with lucifer for the exterminations was breached because he was threatening a hellborn, and 2 seconds later lucifer shows up
The Alastor part is crazy. The "Great Alastor Altruis died for his friends" line is insane. The thought of his legacy being something like "died for his friends" as opposed to something like "The strongest being in hell" probably enrages him.
You have the line slightly wrong. It's: "Great Alastor, altruist, died for his friends" Note the comma after "Alastor." His name isn't "Alastor Altruis", he was mockingly using altruist as an epithet for himself. A grammatically identical way to restructure that sentance would be: "The altruist that he is, great Alastor died for his friends."
@@Ruminations09technically the captions do say 'Great Alastor Altruist' with a capital A and no comma, so the confusion with lyrics is because of the captions on Amazon. It's really weird
@@Ruminations09 Altruist is said in Capital Letters and is always used as a surname in every required translation, so Alastor Altruist *is* his full name. Edit: I was already told i was wrong, please leave me alone
I like how Velvette made a big deal at the Overlord meeting about how the Vees were making plans to fight Heaven now that they know the angels can be killed, but now that Extermination Day is here they're just hiding away in their headquarters and watching. Sir Pentius is now Sir Repentius. And whoever or whatever is responsible for allowing souls into Heaven apparently has a sense of humor, dropping him in front of Sera. (Also, that's actually true about snakes. It's called a hemipenis.)
Something I really appreciated is Alastor says “I nearly escaped being killed by a hair” but the double could be he was nearly killed by a hare, meaning he’s still in disbelief of nearly dying to his own prey. Also him breaking down at the thought of dying for the others is so interesting to me tbh
@@felixhenson9926 Deers are omnivorous. They can absolutely eat and digest meat, like a lot of so-called "herbivores". They are not hunter, they won't hunt prey, but they will absolutely eat carcasses, or even dying small animals of the opportunity arises.

@@lelianavillin2309 I think the backstory was just symbolising that she was owned by alastor since she was like "blacked out". or "colourless" if you will. I don't think husk being there had anything to do with him being an former overloard
@@TheGamerDuck that scene was showing overlords tho so it makes sense that Nifty is an overlord and neither of them act like Alastor owns her if anything he treats her like an equal
And now you finally see. It was Lilith that was the deadbeat parent who doesn't answer Charlie's calls. Lucifer was the parent who stayed behind and even though emotionally devastated he was the one to answer Chalrie's call and even bargain for her protection. then fought for her when the time called for it. All while Lilith was enjoying the sunlight heavenly beach.
Which brings into question the bit in the pilot episode where Charlie is talking on her phone to "mom." I wonder if that's been ret-conned to be her talking to "dad" instead in the lore.
@@Tuxedoian I re-watched the pilot just to make sure, but if you notice, she calls and talks, but it's obvious from the context that nobody is answering back, like she is leaving a message to an answering machine, and that this was not the first time she left such a message to Lilith.
That's true now, but up until seven years ago, Lilith was around, at least according to all the information we have so far. IIRC, Charlie is supposed to be about 200 years old, which means that for most of her life, her mom was in it. The mystery of what exactly happened seven years ago is yet to be answered, so I'm personally not going to make any judgement calls yet on how good or poor a parent she was/is. As Sherlock Holmes puts it: "Data, data, data! I can't make bricks without clay!"
Regarding Adam’s mask glitching, the theory I like best is that was the point he committed to not just defeating Charlie, but killing her, and breaking the contract with Lucifer that prevented him from interfering in the extermination.
Had a thought of it also being the snapping point of him no longer being angelic. Just like how Pentious was redeemed, Adam is going to be sent down. if it's one or the other, it's probably your interpretation, but it's interesting if it could be both.
i rly love how when lucifer turns into "demon mode" he at the same time goes full "angel mode", the snake around his hat becomes his halo and his coat and bow tie grow eyes
the V's are watching it like its the superbowl and it seems like velvette is just waiting for the commercials. or she is tweeting about it since she's the social media overlord
Yeah, we all took Sir Pentious' "death" hard. He was the GOAT this episode. Kissed the girl of his dreams and made the ultimate sacrifice to save the first people who really cared about him. And he definitively proved Charlie right, that a soul CAN be redeemed into Heaven.
Gotta slide in here to point out: it was a snake that originally doomed humanity in the garden of Eden. And was a snake who proved those “doomed” humans can be saved.
The fact that Sir Pentious's VA, Alex Brightman, is also the VA for Adam makes this all the more funnier. Playing both as the character Weeby most loves while playing the one she hates.
@@ab-rz1ze It probably depends how severe the phobia in someone is...its kinda like how I'm scared of large spiders but someone with arachnophobia would freeze up seeing a tiny one
Cherri joined the hotel. I love how she goes from "Ha I'm just here for Angel" at the start to being in the opening lines of the Finale song and hugging with everyone. Sir Pentious changed her in one moment.
We finally got a Charlie/Vaggie duet and it's absolutely perfect. Those two are adorable. Also, mad respect to Sir Pentious. He kissed the girl of his dreams than sacrificed himself for everyone. This chad move will never be forgotten. And I'm glad he proved Charlie right. That a Demon CAN be redeemed into Heaven. A snake was the first soul to fall, and the first soul to rise. Very poetic.
I love Sera and Em's reactions to him showing up in heaven too. Sera being immediately terrified/horrified and Em squealing with excitement. Such a great moment.
i think what they tried to express with Alastor vs Adam is that Adam is a Brute. there is no methodology or Rational to his fighting. he just gradually stops holding back. Powerful but "Sloppy". Alastor was taunting about the skill Gap, not realizing how big the Power Gap was. i feel like if there was some how a round 2. Alastor would probably handle it a bit differently
likewise, Adam get's hurt 3 times, and all three times it's when he's distracted by boasting/monologue-ing. Again, he's sloppy, because as carmilla pointed out last episode, he doesn't think he can be hurt, even after he sees they have angelic weapons he assumes he's invulnerable because he's the hero, as it were, it's why he's so caught off guard when Charlie stabs him, he didn't think that was possible, he thought he had plot armor.
mas acho qeu ele n mudaria muito, ele deveria ouvir o que camila disse avaggie e lutar contra adam principalmente com armas angelicais ja que curiosamente ele quis mostrar poder e controle e apanhou pois a camilla pode estar certa
My personal theory about why the exorcists are all women is because (assuming Adam creates them, we don’t know where they come from) Adam views women as beneath him, so he always feels superior to them. Considering Lucifer took both his wives, he probably is insecure deep down and created women who are designed to be loyal to him. Also Adam’s design is based on his voice actor Alex Brightman
I don think many people realize that Adam was a control freak from the moment he was created. Literally in the opening sequence in ep 1 it did say he demanded control over Lilith. So he was just doomed to fall from the very beginning.
probably, angels are typically created entities without free will (part of why the apple was such a big deal) so other than lute they are probably all homunculi, artificial constructs commanded by a small collective of sentient commanders, which would explain why Adam and Vaggie both seem to be humans converted into angels rather than born as angels, and I'd suspect lute is something similar, given those 3 are the only angels of that type we see act independently (or without masks), and they appear far more human than any other non warrior angels. (remember emily and serah first appear as something more akin to birds, before changing to human forms in response to Charlie's arrival)
I dont think so, he respects sera and lute is his right hand man, his comments are more of a jab to charlie and her demons are evil people to begin with, u do realize the story reads at the beginning are from lilith and might as well be hell propaganda, thats theres a different story. We dont know what really happened at the beginning.
@@edwinbasa2804he kind of does respect Lute but doesn’t see her as an equal. He respects sera as she is a seraphim and the highest ranking one. Basically his boss
We absolutely NEED Helluva Boss reactions! (Just dont forget to watch the Pilot first this time!) Edit: guys, I am aware the pilot isn't canon. But I do genuinely believe it helps explain character dynamics better going into the series
I don't think Sera will ever explain the "things that you don't know", because I strongly suspect she doesn't know how it works either. She just doesn't want people to realize that because that would be admitting that the seraphims have no idea what they are doing.
I'm pretty sure the answer is racism/xenophobia. She doesn't know the answer because there is no answer, she knows she hates demons, but when asked why specifically there is no answer, simply that she knows they are inferior to her and letting them in would poison their society. Through the lens of a racist trying to defend their views a lot of her actions and lines in the court scene in episode 6 makes a lot more sense.
@@bryanmoberg8408 Not really, her actually not knowing makes more sense to me. The way she shut down Charlie when she started to realize that they didn't know what gets a soul into Heaven tells me that she's very much in the dark about a lot of things but can't afford to let that ignorance be known.
i can't stand when reactors skip over that sad little smile Adam gave to Lute before he died. like, yeah, i get hating them, but that tiny smile just felt like it meant so much for both Adam and Lute's characters and made them feel very real and very human in a way that i think the show is just good at in general.
I always interpreted it as Adam's attitude remaining right to the end. He was just happy that instead of dying alone, the last thing he saw was a woman.
Some people have said that the smile showed Adam felt content in his last moment when he saw that a woman stuck by him until death, since he was "betrayed" by Lilith and Eve before.
@@ZondaFRoadster Possible, but I don't read it that way. It was a very genuine smile. It looked either grateful (at least one person there cared that he was dying) or fond ("it's been real, Lute"). Either way, it came across as a more 'human' moment for him than him being a skeeze one last time.
I freaking SCREAMED when Sir Pentious kissed Cherri Bomb! I can't wait to see what Lillith adds to the table, especially if the theory of her being Alastor's dealer being true!
I can see Lilith treating Alastor as a nanny for Charlie with Alastor getting frustrated with being treated as one, but I can see the theory from finnthepony on Alastor’s deal with Lilith and Roo. But I’m more curious about the drama between Lucifer and Lilith since he still wears his wedding ring and we haven’t seen Lilith’s hands at all, like Charlie mentioned that they split but I wonder if it’s complicated than that, like if Lilith’s also still wearing hers it might be a messy relationship due to their own separate problems but they still love each other, or maybe Lilith was just done with it. I want the family tea
I strongly believe she will not be a villian, and lute's threat is a red herring. Lillith is VASTLY more powerful than lute, my running theory is she was trapped in heaven, not there by choice, and Adam's death has freed her to retake her place as queen. If anything I think the threat from lillith will be she'll want to escalate into full scale war against heaven, and charlie will have to talk her down. And yes, I'd wager she's the one holding alastor's leash, that she traded him power in exchange for wiping out overlords that could be a threat to her and lucifer's rule, and, while she was in heaven she ordered him to protect the royal family (ie charlie and her home) with him free to do as he wishes otherwise. It's why he can't ask for her soul in a deal, despite it being clear Alastor DESPERATELY wants to do so.
We suspect that Vox and Alastor used to be friends ( we see a photograph of them both together in this episode during the last song but Vox's half was torn of , you can still see parts of his tv screen and shoulder beside Alastor)
There was a funny detail that a lot of people mentioned about Lucifer showing up. Since Razzle and Dazzle resemble lambs, when Dazzle died Lucifer just decided to show up. It literally took a sacrificial lamb to get Lucifer to show up on their side 💀
Funny thing about Alastor singing about "the deal having a backdoor" and that he didn't want to sacrifice himself for his friends is that sir pentious had less power than him and offered his life and that's what got him into heaven so by that logic if Alastor would have tried to fight 'til his last breath it was going to be him who arrives to heaven just by that act of altruism, his sacrifice would have been the backdoor to get out of the deal.
@@CrazyMindStudios Agreed, Pentious's sacrifice was the finale of his redemption, not the entirety. You can see throughout the series how much of a 'pure' individual he grows into. How he pets Keekee with child-like wonder, how when Husk and Angel were enjoying the 'drama' between Lucifer and Charlie Pentious just looked stressed out/sad, how he protects Nifty when the loan sharks attack the hotel, etc. People tend to notice Angel's progress more since it's more in the forefront, but Pentious also made incredible strides.
My theory is that Niffty just follows Alastor because he's a bad boy. I don't think Alastor really owns her soul haha. ALSOO I haven't finished the reaction, so idk if you noticed but Lucifer only appears AFTER Adam hurts/attacks Charlie, breaking their deal and allowing Lucifer to break his part of the deal also. ONE MORE THING. In the last part of the song, Valentino and Vox kiss! 35:45 its a small clip Thanks for this great series! Your reactions have been the BEST!!
I read this really cool fact a while ago about why Alastor lost to Adam. If you look back to what Carmilla said to Vaggie. Fighting like you can't be harmed is exactly what Carmilla said not to do. And that's exactly what Alastor does. His ignorance and overconfidence is what caused Alastor to fail against Adam.
Adam by power level, is also just leagues above Alastor as an Angel. Charlie has angel blood in her from her dad, hence why she was able to hold her own for a bit rather than being one shot like Alastor, and Lucifer is a fallen Seraphim, the highest order of angels that far outclass the exorcist Angels, hence why he was able to easily defeat Adam.
@@jackofhearts5542To be fair, in their fight Alastor had a couple of successful hits. If any of them would have been with an angelic blade he could have hurt Adam. But he had to play cat and mouse out of sheer arrogance.
Considering how Vaggie's wings, which Lute tore off with her bare hands, grew back, I assume that Lute's arm will also grow back. I strongly suspect that Vaggie's eye did not grow back, because it was stabbed with an angelic blade.
It'd be pretty lamesauce if they just had her arm regrow. If they're going to pull a Berserk, they zhould follow through with a badass multi-tool prosthetic
@@orangesoda4535I mean, why not both? Give her a prosthetic until it grows back. That way, we get both cool badass super arm, and consistent story logic
The craziest thing about Adam is that he lost both his wives to Lucifer and ended up dying to a lowly demon yet he still smiled while dying maybe in his own way he actually did care about Lute
36:30 Nobody knows, thats the point. Nobody makes a decision nobody has the qualifications, they only "Know when a soul comes to them" as Seras said. Thats the terrifying existential point.
So, in case there was doubt about if Adam and Lute saw each other with contempt. Lute does crying at his dead body does put the matter to rest. Not to mention that in the wiki, on the things that adam hate includes: Hell, Lucifer, jazz and seeing Lute cry. That's why I like those two, there was clearly more to them than what we saw
Now we just have to hope for Adam to return as a sinner in S2 for a full angst character arc for both of them. Going to be hard to keep the exorcist programming and her own views about Demon-Angel relationships being "vile and blasphemous" when Adam is in hell, specially as if it is as it seemed and both cared for each other.
I watched a LOT of people's reacting to Hazbin Hotel and I have to say that you are definitely my favourite. You got so many details I didn't even notice and you always sound so genuine. Thank you for reacting to the show!
The fact that the angel army is like, a single platoon, is kind of funny. As for Helluva Boss, don't hold out for any lore specific to Hazbin and its characters. It doesn't spend any time in Pentagram City. The HQ for the main characters is in a different area of The Pride Ring but they mostly spend time in the other rings of Hell or on Earth. Its stories are pretty isolated from Hazbin aside from one plot point in the fifth episode.
Another thing, we know for a fact that souls who die and go to heaven appear at the gates, but whatever force decides who goes to heaven specifically sent Sir. Pentious to Sera and Emily
The biggest weakness of this season was the pacing. And I get it, there’s a lot to establish in a first season and when you only have eight episodes? It’s difficult. At least now with season 2 they can maybe slow down a little and the characters can have even just a bit of downtime even if it’s only eight episodes again. That said, I had a blast with this season. The music was great, I love the characters (even if some beats with them were rushed), and I’m looking forward to seeing where they go with it next.
Unfortunately, it feels like "eight episodes a season" (or 6 or 10 or something similar) is becoming the norm with a lot of streaming services nowadays.
yeah, it very much feels like they expected at least 13 episodes and had to crush their planned story down into 8. With how well the show did, and without an actors strike to interupt production I imagine season 2 will feel a lot better overall. In a recent interview Viv indicated they are recording dialogue for season 2 right now, so it's coming along nicely, the implication was it'd probably come next spring (animation takes around 6 months so it'd be September at the earliest)
Best part is: Pentious was teleported directly in front of Sera, instead of at the gates where Charlie and Vaggie started in episode 6. God just told Sera “fuck you; the point of Hell is redemption” I also have a theory that Velvette will leave the Vees. We already saw that she was done with Val and Vox’s bs during her first scene, and she’s also the only one who doesn’t hate anyone directly involved with them hotel. Plus, the hotel probably earned her respect for actually fighting, especially alongside Lucifer himself
I left a comment a couple episodes about how they absolutely nailed the best two types of villain in this show. But there is a third, the scary badass one. And they hit the spot with that in Lute. She's completely fucking nuts (even by Adams standards), and an absolute monster in a fight. Her tearing off her own arm and then overpowering Vaggie *again* is metal as fuck. Can't wait to see her in S2!
An interesting detail in this episode is Lucifer saying "So this is what you've been up to since Eden?" to Adam which makes me think Lucifer might have sent Lilith in his stead to meet with Adam (hence their deal) just like when he asked Charlie to meet with him...
One of my favorite things I’ve noticed is that when they are saluting Sir Pentious’ portrait at the end, the line they are singing is ‘though redemption may take a while’
Pentious genuinely loved everyone at the Hotel, he knew Adam needed to go and he knew trying to take Adam out would likely be the end of him yet he did it anyway, Pentious is one of the bravest characters in anything ever. Definitely my favourite character in Hazbin.
The entirety of Hazbin takes place in the pride ring. In Helluva Boss, you see a bit of the other rings, since its focus is more on the hellbornes. The main focus in that show is an imp called Blitzø, who is in a sexual agreement with a Goetian prince named Stolas. Imps are the lowest class of demon, and the Goetias are only below the sins and Lucifer himself. Blitzø runs a business using the prince's spell book, taking jobs from scorned sinners to get their revenge on humans still living on earth. The show's focus is definitely on Blitzø himself. It's silly and graphic, but highly emotional.
The reason Vaggie allowed Lute to live is because Lute ripped off her wings because she was "weak" for sparing a life - that's why she said "correct your mistake" and wanted Vaggie to kill her. Sparing Lute may be a bad idea in the long run, but showing mercy is what separates Vaggie from the other exorcists, so it's a crueler form of revenge on Lute than killing her.
Not only that, but recall Lute's words: "I will kill you now so you don't have to deal with the pain of seeing your demon bitch die!". Welp, Vaggie's cruel revenge of letting Lute survive force her to "deal with the pain of seeing her angel douche die". Charlie&Vaggie are foils to Adam&Lute, and the show is constantly providing evidence of such.
The interesting thing about Alastors fight with Adam that people don’t seem to understand is how significant the destruction of his staff is. It’s not just a tool, it’s an extension of himself. His Achilles heel is his resistance to change. The reason why he lost to Adam was that he made no modifications to it in preparation for the battle. Alastor in that way is opposite to Vox where he’s more open to technological advancement. This is definitely a wake up call for Alastor in that he’s going to be forced to make changes or he’ll fade into obscurity. He also no longer has his staff at the end of the episode. We might see him get a new more enhanced staff next season that actually has angelic steel in it because apparently he needs to learn the hard way lol
The little glitch in Adam's mask is because the deal made with Lucifer was broken. Since he threatened a hellborn (Charlie) when he said "But it's time to die" and that's why Lucifer came immediately Also, while Adam was fighting off Lucifer, you notice that Lucifer wasn't even trying to attack him, he just dodged his attacks and toyed with Adam, until Adam tried attacking Charlie, that's when Lucifer went demon mode on him
OMG I just realized how Alastor's having a breakdown over his deal "having a back door" What if his deal was that he had to be the one to kill Adam, and since he couldn't he's forever trapped now
Season 2 has the chance to do the funniest thing ever by having Adam pop up at the Hotel without his powers as a Sinner, and Charlie just has to deal with someone irredeemable actually trying to exploit her kindness, lol!
Emily's massive smile upon seeing Sir Pentious is just the cutest damn thing ever. You can practically see the gears turning in her head, _"OMG OMG OMG, Charlie was right! YES!!!"_
I'm kind of surprised at how many people assume that Adam is weak. He's literally leading an army that's been invading hell every year for thousands of years with all the experience that history implies. While it's true that until recently they thought angels invincible against demons, you still wouldn't put a pushover in charge of invading Hell.
Someone pointed out that in one scene before the battle (when Alastor is talking to Nifty on the balcony) you can see Sir Pentious and Charlie talking in the background, and from body language it looks like he was telling her about his feelings for Cherri 🥺❤ so @ 8:16 I think that's Charlie gushing over him trying to confess ❤
someone had pointed out that dazzle's death is foreshadowed in ep 05. if you pull up 'hell's greatest dad' and drop to 0:16, the lyric is "usually i charge a sacrificial lamb, but you get the family rate"... and dazzle is strung up, on the table, about to be 'sacrificed'. as another aside, what i'm seeing fairly consistently with the series is that any part of an angelic or sinner's body that is struck with angelic metal - but ONLY angelic metal - disappears forever. vaggie's eye is chopped out and then stabbed with angelic material, and it never comes back. her wings are ripped out (not chopped off), and they come back. pentious is blasted (not struck with angelic metal) and he comes back.... in heaven (let's gooo). my theory is: as long as a sinner doesn't die by angelic weapon, they can ascend to heaven (or slowly pull themselves back together in hell). i'll be waiting to see if lute's arm grows back, as my theory falls apart if it doesn't. we'll see! i also loved this reaction series a lot - thanks for posting these!
Something I always find intriguing- Adam actually seems - while dickish and controlling - to ACTUALLY give a fuck about his Excorcists. Like, he knows Vaggie's face and voice well enough to recognize her IMMEDIATELY on seeing her in E6. And then, when he's dying, he smiles when he sees Lute. Like he's happy she's not dead, since he names his favorites. It's just neat that even HEAVEN'S assholes also have little moments of humanity to 'em.
Aw dang was really hoping to see your reaction to Vox and Val making out at the end of the Happy Day in Hell reprisal, it’s okay girlie, I missed it the first time too, it was only a brief clip
It’s so fitting from a narrative standpoint that the snake demon was the first sinner to be redeemed, when it was lucifer in the form of a snake who tempted Eve and introduced sin to the world in the first place, brilliant writing
Fun fact, while even though I’ve MAINLY seen this term for Greek mythology, I think it still applies here. Divine blood or blood from some type of high ranking deity is commonly called ichor. I think that’s what you’d call angel blood in this, hence why it’s golden.

Best character arc so far
Its my favorite detail Husk singing and being happy thinking Alastor was dead then just frowning when he shows up again
if alastor is dead husk is free, that's gotta be a huge bummer to think he's dead only to see him pop up again.
You can also hear Lucifer grumble
@@Lady-Seashell-Bikini "Oh, THIS guy..."
@@Lady-Seashell-Bikinilmao that's actually a funny detail
If I was Alastor I would have just shoved a shadow tentacle with an angel dagger to his back while Adam was off his balance with the mini-demons.
You might say he was "Out for Love"?
@@Albedo12😃wow that information was usefull
That scene is a good example of what can happen when the nice guy has had enough of your shit 😂
@oOSonicexeOo Also when someone threatens a parent’s child.
likewise, when Lucifer is in danger after diving to catch charlie, you see her show her true power to save him, if only just for a moment. (when her arm changes and she catches the punch)
Fun fact: Alastor doesn’t like it when people touch him, yet allows Niffty to climb up on him.
Rosie too can touch and spin him around freely! They also sit close at the Overlord meetings, they're such good friends❤

I choose to believe God is the Afterlife's version of a troll. "Can't be redeemed, eh, Sera? Just watch."
Lol
Not sure about his physical power, but he should have high influence in heaven at the very least.
little fun fact: The VA for the Egg Bois is the same for Angel Dust, so when Angel saves the Egg Boi he talks to himself >.
Sir Penboy and Adam have the same VA. He kills himself
I actually didn't know that
24:14 when adams mask glitches out, its probably the moment the contract with lucifer for the exterminations was breached because he was threatening a hellborn, and 2 seconds later lucifer shows up
this is a great theory omg
“They let me put on roach puppet shows without booing.” Ah Nifty that was so wholesome yet so disturbing.

The Alastor part is crazy. The "Great Alastor Altruis died for his friends" line is insane. The thought of his legacy being something like "died for his friends" as opposed to something like "The strongest being in hell" probably enrages him.
Well, he could never be the strongest being in hell, so he better find some other dream to pursue.
You have the line slightly wrong. It's:
"Great Alastor, altruist, died for his friends"
Note the comma after "Alastor." His name isn't "Alastor Altruis", he was mockingly using altruist as an epithet for himself.
A grammatically identical way to restructure that sentance would be:
"The altruist that he is, great Alastor died for his friends."

Hare? Prey? Aside from the fact he's obviously a demon, he's a deer, they're herbivores.

@@Tuxedoian
I re-watched the pilot just to make sure, but if you notice, she calls and talks, but it's obvious from the context that nobody is answering back, like she is leaving a message to an answering machine, and that this was not the first time she left such a message to Lilith.

I just want to thank Vivz for a positive father figure. I tear up every time I hear their duet and think about my daughter
That's true now, but up until seven years ago, Lilith was around, at least according to all the information we have so far. The mystery of what exactly happened seven years ago is yet to be answered, so I'm personally not going to make any judgement calls yet on how good or poor a parent she was/is. i think what they tried to express with Alastor vs Adam is that Adam is a Brute. there is no methodology or Rational to his fighting. he just gradually stops holding back.

I always interpreted it as Adam's attitude remaining right to the end. He was just happy that instead of dying alone, the last thing he saw was a woman.

Seing adam smile in his final moments because finally someone in his life didn't leave him. Such a nice layer to adams character
I hope he'll be able to find redemption as well, otherwise it would feel hypocrite
We suspect that Vox and Alastor used to be friends ( we see a photograph of them both together in this episode during the last song but Vox's half was torn of , you can still see parts of his tv screen and shoulder beside Alastor)
Fun fact! During Angel and Husk’s scene at the bar, an instrumental version of their song Loser Baby is playing in the background
There was a funny detail that a lot of people mentioned about Lucifer showing up. Since Razzle and Dazzle resemble lambs, when Dazzle died Lucifer just decided to show up. It literally took a sacrificial lamb to get Lucifer to show up on their side 💀
Seems like Charlie didn’t get that family discount after all
The look on Valentino's face when Nifty killed Adam says "I dodged a f*cking bullet"
Nope. Sacrificing Himself is one of many things that get Pentious in Heaven. Alastor is not a good guy
@@CrazyMindStudios Agreed, Pentious's sacrifice was the finale of his redemption, not the entirety. You can see throughout the series how much of a 'pure' individual he grows into.
I mean....Alistor didn't even have a chance at defeating Adam cuz he didn't have an angelic weapon

The craziest thing about Adam is that he lost both his wives to Lucifer and ended up dying to a lowly demon yet he still smiled while dying maybe in his own way he actually did care about Lute
The fact that they hung out together outside the context of the extermination tells me that they were probably close in some way.
Adam definitely thought of Lute as "the first woman to be truly loyal to me"
@@Kadukunahaluu That's... strangely adorable. In a slightly fucked up way, maybe he did care about her in the end...

Nah you weren’t wrong to be afraid for Vaggie. She had so many death flags this season I was certain she’d be the one to die
Another thing, we know for a fact that souls who die and go to heaven appear at the gates, but whatever force decides who goes to heaven specifically sent Sir. Pentious to Sera and Emily
i really hope they address this at some point

I also have a theory that Velvette will leave the Vees. We already saw that she was done with Val and Vox’s bs during her first scene, and she’s also the only one who doesn’t hate anyone directly involved with them hotel. Plus, the hotel probably earned her respect for actually fighting, especially alongside Lucifer himself
Male snakes...er...actually DO have two. 😆
Since he threatened a hellborn (Charlie) when he said "But it's time to die" and that's why Lucifer came immediately
Also, while Adam was fighting off Lucifer, you notice that Lucifer wasn't even trying to attack him, he just dodged his attacks and toyed with Adam, until Adam tried attacking Charlie, that's when Lucifer went demon mode on him
OMG I just realized how Alastor's having a breakdown over his deal "having a back door" What if his deal was that he had to be the one to kill Adam, and since he couldn't he's forever trapped now
OOH, interesting idea
Season 2 has the chance to do the funniest thing ever by having Adam pop up at the Hotel without his powers as a Sinner, and Charlie just has to deal with someone irredeemable actually trying to exploit her kindness, lol!
I kinda hoping this will happen since I really do belive that they're not done with adam, there's so many things you can have him do as a sinner
Nahh, 35:47, not Val and Vox making out behind Velvettee Lmaooo 😭😭
They're friends with benefits.
Oh dang, I just randomly searched this up and it’s six minutes since it was released. *The video is so good it sent psychic ripples across UA-cam.*
Hi
Someone pointed out that in one scene before the battle (when Alastor is talking to Nifty on the balcony) you can see Sir Pentious and Charlie talking in the background, and from body language it looks like he was telling her about his feelings for Cherri 🥺❤ so @ 8:16 I think that's Charlie gushing over him trying to confess ❤
Clicked on this as fast as i could
Same lmao- I literally screamed when I saw the notification.
Same
SAME
sammeee
Me too. 😂
someone had pointed out that dazzle's death is foreshadowed in ep 05. if you pull up 'hell's greatest dad' and drop to 0:16, the lyric is "usually i charge a sacrificial lamb, but you get the family rate"... and dazzle is strung up, on the table, about to be 'sacrificed'.
as another aside, what i'm seeing fairly consistently with the series is that any part of an angelic or sinner's body that is struck with angelic metal - but ONLY angelic metal - disappears forever. vaggie's eye is chopped out and then stabbed with angelic material, and it never comes back. her wings are ripped out (not chopped off), and they come back. pentious is blasted (not struck with angelic metal) and he comes back.... in heaven (let's gooo). my theory is: as long as a sinner doesn't die by angelic weapon, they can ascend to heaven (or slowly pull themselves back together in hell). i'll be waiting to see if lute's arm grows back, as my theory falls apart if it doesn't. we'll see!
i also loved this reaction series a lot - thanks for posting these!
Something I always find intriguing-
Adam actually seems - while dickish and controlling - to ACTUALLY give a fuck about his Excorcists.
Imagine if Charlie pulled a Kaede at the end of season 1…
Wonder who the next protagonist would be?
Aw dang was really hoping to see your reaction to Vox and Val making out at the end of the Happy Day in Hell reprisal, it’s okay girlie, I missed it the first time too, it was only a brief clip
Nifty's feelings on being Alastor's slave are, and I quote, "I like being forced." She literally says that in episode 1.
I feel like Adam somewhat cares about Lute. Something about that scene where he smiles at her while he was dying tells me something about him
It’s so fitting from a narrative standpoint that the snake demon was the first sinner to be redeemed, when it was lucifer in the form of a snake who tempted Eve and introduced sin to the world in the first place, brilliant writing
The second Nif’ is introduced, she says “I enjoy being forced.”
dude its so funny how no one noticed the kiss between Vox and Valentino in the final song
the faces of sera and emily at the end are just the best, emily happy and sera and complete shock :D
Fun fact, while even though I’ve MAINLY seen this term for Greek mythology, I think it still applies here. Divine blood or blood from some type of high ranking deity is commonly called ichor. I think that’s what you’d call angel blood in this, hence why it’s golden.
