We purchased these Heybike Cityscape Cruiser Electric Bikes from Amazon about 6 months ago and have been using the bikes for several hundred miles. This is our honest review of the bikes.
This ebike comes with a 350W motor, has 7 speed Shimano gears, and a removable 36V 10Ah lithium battery. The range of the bike is up to 40 miles on pedal assist mode and up to 25 miles on pure electric.
We loved that the bike came with front and rear fenders, luggage rack and LED front and back lighting at no additional cost!
This ebike is suitable for people 5'4"-6'5" and up to 264lbs.

Thank you for the detailed review. Are the handlebars in a comfortable position for you? That's really the only concern i have about this one. i do love that it comes the front and back lights, something i really wanted.
the handlebars are adjustable both in height and pitch. Since Jim is very tall, he changed the pitch on his a little - we both think they are comfortable.

Just got to 400mi on mine, before it's first flat tire - a stray piece of metal. All fixed. Otherwise, it's delightful to ride - I'm very spoiled now, and taking longer and longer trips !

We found that we are biking a lot on gravel and dirt roads, and the fat tire would do much better on such surfaces. :)
Thanks for the review. Can you please tell us what the Shortest seat distance from the seat to the ground is. Is is 35 inches? Their website says two things and can’t get a straight answer. Would love someone with no vested interest to confirm it for us shorties.
I see your wife uses them and asking for mine as well. Interesting viewpoint from someone really tall and really short.
Just went out to measure this for you. It is 35" at the lowest setting.
Great info, thank you. I'm trying to advise my wife choosing a bike so that she can cycle about with our toddler son and I thought this type of bike would be perfect. I'm in two minds about whether it is a bad idea to get an ebike for safety reasons, but I just feel she will get so much more enjoyment out of it than a regular bike. Can I ask, are they difficult to ride in any way, or are jumpy when the motor kicks in? Also, have you had any trouble with the electrics getting wet from heavy rain or puddle? Cheers
not at all difficult to ride, although it did take a little getting used too. not jumpy at all. We have not ridden them in the rain and use a cover for them when stored. But I believe the rain would not affect the electrics.

Thank You for your in depth video. If a person like my wife is 5'3" could I switch out the seat post to allow her to reach the ground while on the seat
I suppose that is possible, however, the seat does have a special folding mechanism so that the battery can be removed..
I wish all hey bikes have fat tires whether they're folding ebike or not folding ebike and they should be on road or off-road for both bikes and it should come in different colors besides white and black
I noticed Heybike is now making a cruiser with fat tires. Maybe they will come out with more colors at some point. Thank you for your comment.
Can get it in white, and spray paint it any color you want.
Is there a trick to get battery in the “ON” position?
We never had an issue with ours. Is the battery all the way seated correctly?
For the trailer, I think you mentioned an additional attachment was needed with the trailer. What was that attachment?

The HeyBike comes with puncture proof tires. Which slime/tube did you upgrade to
we went to our local bike shop and added the green slim tubes and the tire lining.
if you put the pedal assist to level 0, are you able to still use the throttle?
this bike requires the pedal assist to be on to use the throttle.

Have you ever use only the throttle to see how far the bike would go?
never tried that, but I would guesstimate about 15 miles on throttle only
With the assistant mode, do I have to pedal too (without effort), or I can simplely take a rest on the bike?
You can have use "Pedal assist" and pedal with little effort, or use throttle only and not pedal at all
Did you have to use an attachment to install your trailer on the back?
the attachment came with the trailer. As I understand, they are not universal, so you have to make sure it will fit your type of trailer hitch amzn.to/3pjnTow.

My Heybike arrived damaged. They want to send me the parts, have me buy the tools and fix it myself. I looked up reviews and that's their policy. Good luck if it arrives broken, worst customer service ever.
sorry to hear that. I can understand that sending a part is easier than sending a bike back and forth. Hope it works out for you and you get to enjoy your bike.
@@mcsdog I can get it fixed for $90. I think Hebike should pay since its arrived damaged. So it won't be too hard to get it working.
I'm thinking of purchasing the extra Amazon or Walmart Buyer protection plan $50 because of this fear of crappy product. I wonder if this is a solution?
@@kirthgersen2485 That's a good idea except with all my Walmart searches these bikes are all 3rd party direct shipped with no store inventory. Would be nice if returns were accepted by the shore since it's a mile away

Heybikes are complete crap - the company has no intention of supporting the product and once it is out of warranty it becomes a heavy piece of useless garbage.
We're sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with Haybikes. I now have five hundred miles on my bike and my wife has 300 and the only reason we've had goto a bike shop is to fix a flat tire, and I can't blame Haybike for that. We're still very pleased with the value and the enjoyment of riding a bike again these bikes have provided.
And when it is time to replace them I'm not sure I would spend more money on some of the more expensive bikes.
I hope you have better luck with the next ebike company you purchase from.
