    Literal translation
    In the night, there are thousands of loud voices
    The head of the lot was protruding along the river bank and cheering
    May dissolve in smoke and clouds to advance, Move forward
    The place where the people are in the South will resonate in the sky
    Vietnam forever hates, annihilated the Nguyen army, the troops swept to the dead Blood poured down the road, the clouds of water drifted away
    Look in the wind, the shadow of the South Vietnamese soldiers sweep away
    Swear to destroy the same corruption to promote the region up
    Here in the South, there are so many heroes
    White sun builds into the cause of mind to the mountains and rivers

      Quân Nguyên actually means the Yuan army from Mongol-ruled China, not the Nguyen army.

      @@Anthony-kl6fl So Nguyen just means Nguyen but when Quan precedes it, Quan Nguyen is a reference to the Mongols or northern armies?

    • @Anthony-kl6fl
      @Anthony-kl6fl 2 роки тому +4

      @@asianlifter yep exactly. The tone marks on a word (Nguyễn vs. Nguyên) do make a big difference on what the word means. Nguyên 元 without Quân (which means army 軍) would only mean Nguyên as a person’s first name like Nguyên Nguyễn. Nguyên can also mean as a “whole” (原)such as nguyên tử (原子- atom, whole of a cell) and it can also mean “former” or “head” (元)such as nguyên thủ (元首 - head of state). Quân Nguyên in this context means Yuan army (元軍). Nguyên can also mean “source” (源)as well, as in tài nguyên (財源 - resources)。
