Greatest respect for Bryan Adams. That man WOULD NOT PERFORM if he couldn't play live. No canned lip sync for him on any tv show like they all did back in the day. Great singer/songwriter.
As a Canadian who saw Bryan live in the Summer of 69 days...it brings me great joy to see his music still connecting with people. Bryan Adams and Corey Hart were 2 of our proudest exports of that era.
I was lucky enough to see him in concert as well in my small British columbia town about 15 years ago. he opened a new 5000 seat arena in our town, it was amazing g. he has always been one of my favourites from the start of his career. Cory heart is really good as well, I agree.
I feel exactly the same way about Brian Adams, Beth. He is one of the all-time best, and the only thing wrong with him is that he seems underrated in terms of praise, but his music is played all the time and always a smash hit.
He also throws his whole body into his singing..look how he leans back, bends forward,...his posture and fluid/taut body movements while singing has a huge impact on his vocal delivery too. To think he can pull this off even while playing the guitar, is astounding.
YES! I get so much crap for saying this, as the song in general was overplayed to the point of ridiculousness back in the day. But it's pretty much perfect - impeccable playing, dynamics, tone and a level of restraint you didn't really find in that era of guitar solo's!!
Bryan Adams songs are not cheesy. They are romantic (usually) and emotive. He's ear candy (in the best possible sense of the phrase). Fantastic voice and artist.
Spirit is my favorite cartoon since I was a kid!! That’s how I knew Bryan Adams! I am French and luckily he sang himself all the songs of the cartoon in French! Even at such a young age (I was very young), I found his voice so beautiful and emotional that I had downloaded all the music from the film so I could listen to it every day and I was watching Spirit endlessly. As I grew up, I learned who he was and I could listen to his music :-) Nineteen years after seeing Spirit for the first time, I'm still a big fan of him, he has accompanied me almost since the beginning of my life
Beth, as I've listened to and followed Bryan Adams since 1984, I've often said, he really doesn't have a great voice (range or clarity), but it works so perfectly with the music he does! Seen him live a couple times, even more recently (3 or 4 years ago), and he sounds almost the same (perhaps a little more rasp). So whatever he's doing, good technique or not, it hasn't hurt his voice whatsoever! He's truly a Canadian treasure! Great reaction. Cheers!
Went to two BA shows, 2000 and 2004. He sang every song like it was the first time he ever sang them. Two of the best shows I ever attended. Thanks for the wonderful channel!
I think what I like, so much, about your reactions is the beautiful mix of technicality and emotional attachment to the music and lyrics. I can tell how much you truly love what you're doing. Thank you for that!
I will say that i am an amature singer with some experience..i saw Bryan Adams live in 2016 and his vocal pitch and key was near impeccable STILL! Also his vocal quality was still tops. #Legendary. He is doing something right to preserve his voice
Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron is my fav animated movie and the soundtrack is 1 of the main reasons it brings a certain emotion to the film its incredible
I spent all summer taking drivers education class listening to this on the radio and praying the kid driving at the time didn't kill all of us. I guess you could say Bryan Adams brings back good and bad memories. His songs will always bring back a great memory of a better world than we live in today. Bryan Adams was consistently good. Today there is very little talent in music.
Wanted to pop in and say that I just saw Brian Adams, in concert, a couple of weeks ago and he still sounds as amazing as he did when he recorded this single.
One of mine all time favorite songs of his, the other being please forgive me, as well as Have you ever really loved a woman. It is also one of the songs that I learned in sign language.
Saw him a few years ago- brilliant! He played bass, Keith Scott on guitar and a drummer, a trio. Anyway they were awesome- not a note out of place. One of the best shows I've seen .Bryan's voice is naturally raspy.
My wife bought me a casstte decades ago. When he toured they opened up new seats - fist 8 rows in front. My wife had never been to an international act .It was a beautiful , memorable night ( we could even see his acne scars), but him and Leith Scott were Brilliant- the whole night was- even a girl ( 16th. b/day) got up and sand " Baby When You're Gone " perfectly. Thanks Beth.
Bryan Adams and his wibbly-wobbly voice were a favorite at middle and high school dances. Other kings of the dance: INXS - Never Tear Us Apart, Peter Cetera - Glory of Love. They hit that same cheesy awesome vibe.
honestly bryan adams is a legend i love him very much . he did a lot of for peoples when you sad you can listen when you happy you can listen all he did his best
Bryan Adams voice is definitely unique and he is a gifted singer. brings back my childhood memories when I used to listen to him. btw love your videos , love from India
Some of his songs now days like this one I dont listen to now because after losing my wife 5 years ago I just cry during them. This and a few other are what they say and some of from movies we loved. Ive loved his music since he appear in the early 80s.
I watched robin hood Prince of thieves after I got home from school almost everyday when I was young and of course I always stayed till the end of this song
My "Brian Adams" experience: Every year I go catamaran-sailing in Greece, and after the weekly Barbecue they do live music. I called it "perfection of the imperfection". But in one year, they had a professional singer there, and when he was singing "Summer of 69", I was dancing on my own right in front of him, hardly a meter away. When he saw what I did, he had to laugh so much he could not go on singing, each time he tried he had to laugh again. In principle I like to be anonymous, not to put myself in the foreground. But from that day, whenever they played music, it was and is "Stefan, come up to the stage, dance", and I have to go out there and dance all on my own, in front of dozens of firmly seated people, until I break the ice. It is quite practical, because it is usual the young girls that go out first, their boyfriends keep sitting, arms crossed, frowning "No, I don't go out there, I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of my friends". So it can happen I dance alone with 7 girls - nice. I do not even know what I am doing, I have no plan, no learned steps, I just react to the music. Maybe some goal is to move some body part to every beat, every note, every syllable. The people laugh when they see what I am doing, but not over me, it is with me, they laugh with the fun I have.
Hi. This song was played at the end of the Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. We were at the cinema. People were leaving as one does when the credits start but my friend Kate made me sit there until the song ended. We were 14 then.
Bryan's signature song....If anyone out there listens to this song and finds fault with his vocals, then I suggest they head straight to the ear doctor, because something is very wrong with you...His voice is smooth as whipped butter, baby...
Saw him live upteen years ago (1992) and he was great live. There was even a power outage during the show so he came out with just a guitar to play a couple of songs while they fixed the problem.
This song is so special to me. I had a god brother that passed away in 1994 (I was 10 years old) and we used to go to the local drive-in movie theater to watch movies late at night during the summer. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was one of the movies we saw together and this song was the key song on that soundtrack. I think about him and about that drive-in movie every time I hear it. Thanks Beth!
Loved this song, and the movie it was in, despite all its faults. Also ever notice how well songs from movie soundtracks do in the charts? There’s this song, Love Is All Around, I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, My Heart Will Go On, I Believe I Can Fly, Lose Yourself and If Only I Could Turn Back Time. Does being on the soundtrack give the song extra publicity?
Love your analysis as always Beth. Bryan is a true rocker but can really impress with a ballad just like this, my next recommendation is a fantastic singer from the 60's and 70's SCOTT WALKER with "The Lights of Cincinatti", guaranteed to make the hairs stand on end, keep safe Sweetie and cheerio from Glasgow.
A voice that can melt every hearts men and women alike...so beautiful
Greatest respect for Bryan Adams. That man WOULD NOT PERFORM if he couldn't play live. No canned lip sync for him on any tv show like they all did back in the day. Great singer/songwriter.

For sure.
Ottawa here!! 👍🏻🇨🇦
Who is Corey Hart?

This was my girlfriend and my song back in the day. She was such a sweet girl. So sweet I married her...it’s been a great 28 years.
Congrats sir 💪
Pretty much the same. Yet, it's a way to try to find her after 31 years.
Nice 😉

30 years in November…
awww nice to hear
I feel exactly the same way about Brian Adams, Beth. He is one of the all-time best, and the only thing wrong with him is that he seems underrated in terms of praise, but his music is played all the time and always a smash hit.
This song was king of the dance floor when I was in highschool. You were guaranteed to find a partner to dance with when this song came on.
Omg!! I love him!! When I was in high school he was the sh!t!! I was in high school in the 80’s and it was the best era for music!!
I always thought of him as a very “HOT” man! 😀♥️
He also throws his whole body into his singing..look how he leans back, bends forward,...his posture and fluid/taut body movements while singing has a huge impact on his vocal delivery too. To think he can pull this off even while playing the guitar, is astounding.
You are so cute "swooning" over Bryan! Great analysis as usual of a treasured Canadian talent.
she's pretty cute
Super underrated guitar solo on this track.
Keith Scott is a great guitarist. Always plays to compliment the song instead of just showing off.
YES! I get so much crap for saying this, as the song in general was overplayed to the point of ridiculousness back in the day. But it's pretty much perfect - impeccable playing, dynamics, tone and a level of restraint you didn't really find in that era of guitar solo's!!
Keith Scott is an Underrated guitar player
His voice never ages and never will. And what a songwriter. Equal credit goes to Keith and Mickey !
What Legends !
Bryan Adams songs are not cheesy. They are romantic (usually) and emotive. He's ear candy (in the best possible sense of the phrase). Fantastic voice and artist.
LOVE his voice! It is like he is singing to me 😊
His performance with Pavarotti was out of this world. You should totally check that one out!!
Completely agree!!!!

He is one of my favorite singers, and that is definitely one of my favorite songs
The acoustic of "I'm Ready" with strings is phenomenal.
Ha, I feel you there. No idea what it is about his voice but he's just one of the best ever.
I saw him in concert when I was 15 and thought I would die. Lol. He was so good. All that post 80s hair in 92 was still real. Haha.
I love that slight rasp in his voice, especially when he sings soft.
I tell my wife this ever day because she is disabled and I would always give her my life ❤❤❤
I just saw him in concert a few weeks ago and he still sounds just as amazing.
Simple reason ,,
Hes a legend
Bryan Adams is absolutely beautiful
New goal: sing SOMETHING to make Beth fangirl like that for me!
I saw him in as small venue. Just a piano player and him and his guitar. He was great.
Beth, as I've listened to and followed Bryan Adams since 1984, I've often said, he really doesn't have a great voice (range or clarity), but it works so perfectly with the music he does! I love that you can point out vocal tactics... but still be a fan and swoon a little. True music appreciation!
Never seen you fangirl quite so hard...love it!
My wife and I’s wedding song. Has always been one of my top ten favorite all time songs!
This song is so emotional for me. It was Robin Hood movie (1991) soundtrack.
Went to two BA shows, 2000 and 2004.
He sang every song like it was the first time he ever sang them. Two of the best shows I ever attended.

I saw him last year and he sounded excellent.
One of mine all time favorite songs of his, the other being please forgive me, as well as Have you ever really loved a woman. It is also one of the songs that I learned in sign language.
One of the most romantic songs ever made. If i get married this will be sung at my wedding. Lol
And, yes, Bryan still sounds just as Good over a 2 hour concert these days. Cheers, Beth!
Me encanta este temazo músical , saludos desde Chile
That's the react I was looking for. My mom gave me my name because of Bryan Adams, and I grew up loving his voice. 6 months later, but thanks, Beth ❤️
Never try to critique a legend. He’s original. No cheese with Bryan adams the man is a fricken god
Love your reaction. Couldn't agree more.

This song was always a must because it is
A classic.
You absolutely HAVE to react to Bryan adams duet with Pavarotti!!! Absolutely brilliant!
Bryan Adams and Michael McDonald have got to be two of the most distinctive voices in recent music history.
Also, everyone loved his music, the guys, the girls, everyone.
Love the soundtrack of the movie Spirit!!! 🔥🔥🔥
That was me and my girls song WAY back.

Love you to do Bonnie Raitt singing "I Can't Make You Love Me"

His voice reminds me of Don Henley's. That's a _GOOD_ thing. This is one of my favorite ballads _EVER!_
