"Bridge over Troubled Water" 33 weeks at No1 in 1970 for Simon & Garfunkel unbroken ...
I was a kid when this song came out and MTV was still doing weekly charts. Every single week, month after month, we watched the countdown and this was #1 over and over again. It was magical and kinda nuts! SO happy to have be a child in the 90's.

I'm a Canadian , FYi he wrote that Summer of 69 and his recording label , told him we can make you a star but you have to give up the rights to the summer of 69 so he doesn't get any royalties from that song , & and Summer of 69 doesn't refer to 1969 it refers to 69er .. notice the interviewer never brought up the song Summer 69 he wrote Summer of 69 ... number 1 song where he was because his record label had a stipulation the only way you'll be able to get into to be a rockstar is to give up one of your songs He Did .... that's how they played it out back in the 80s
