That reveal shot actually made me laugh. Absolute madness and I love it! (Also, just because it's been called out specifically elsewhere, I do enjoy the facetime cuts, it's good for the brand to be a recognisable persona.)
Thanks Marc. I think it's the editing that might need refining, but hopefully that'll improve! Got to try out new things on the channel anyway. Really appreciate the support!
@@GRGMiniatures I do agree the facetime cuts are a bit...stark? compared to the rest of the video. There's a sort of depth and warmth to your production I really enjoy (I also really like the music BTW) and that is missing a little bit from the facetime. Maybe a more interesting backdrop than just a white corner of a room? The framing is a little bit off as well I feel but I couldn't say in what way. (Super useful I know! Kind of feels like there's a lot of empty space or something.) Uncle Atoms channel is almost all talking head videos, might be worth taking a look at what he's doing with layout and lighting etc
its beatifull mate. loved Freak's backstory as well. About the layering i noticed that your colors by the end were manly warm bright colors, so maybe priming your mini white in those cases can help you with layering base colors.
Oh yeah, that would 100% be the way to do things -- or I'd very most tempted to do a deep red prime and off-white zenithal. But in my usual way I just sort of rushed in head first. Maybe me and the Orks have more in common than I'd like to admit
What's your opinion on those Liquitex acrylics? Seem quite translucent, don't they? Also, it's nice to see your face, you aren't just talented but a cutie!
Cheers, Pablo! Really depends on the paint with translucency. They are mostly 1 or 2 pigment paints, so it all comes down to the pigment. But as artists paints you can always compensate for the translucency with white without compromising the saturation too much.
Fair enough! I need to try new stuff out with the format from time to time and would like to see if honing my edits might make the face shots more palatable, but I really appreciate the feedback!
@@GRGMiniatures You could try having the shot from further away so it's less of a talking head and more a scene. Still, for me at least I always liked the voiceover the table shots, and it's one of the reasons I really like Boylei Hobby Time channel.
I love your weird boy... Im an Ork /Orc fan
Thank you!
I got say it, orks look better in yellow. Excellent brush-work mate!
Thank you Gil! 😊
Artel W 🥰😍 This is the way to paint their miniatures - with creativity!
Thank you, Vladimir!
I got a bunch of that
liquitex gouache, seeing you paint with it is really making me want to get it out and paint.
Yeah! Go get some minis painted!
Lovely as always, glad someone else is as obsessed with black lining as I am!
Get out ya skinny brushes, folk, we're linin' :D

The framing is definitely really off. I thought I'd improved it this time but when I watched it back.....
I'll go check out Uncle Atom now, thanks!
A fun and inspiring episode, thanks for bringing us along!
Do you have a video explaining the narrow black lining you mentioned?
Thank you, John! I don't have anything dedicated to black lining at the moment -- maybe something I should take a look at soon!
Waaag!! My eyes... lol
Dazzle the enemy! Very cunnin'
Another belter!
😁

Great stuff!
Thanks, Crow!

Great paint job as always.
I'm not a fan of the new face time format though. Find it oddly jarring.
