- Just a simple video showing what it’s like driving the truck on the freeway with the @MagnusonPerformance tvs1320 supercharger.
Nothing wild, but it make a huge difference in common situations like this where you want to overtake a slower vehicle.
Truck specs: 2001 Tacoma, 3.4l, automatic transmission. Aux trans cooler, 4:88 diff gearing, 33 inch tires, 33tooth Speedo gear. - Авто та транспорт
Love those plane skys too.
Your channel is such a great resource for me.
Thank you!
Same here. He and his work are top notch.
Im about to boost mine soon as well. Found a good deal on a NIB gen2 trd charger to put on my 2001 with 40k miles. Its crazy how just a little.boost can wake these trucks up. I love your build. You could make a killing building customs for people.
Why not save a bit more to get the new Magnuson SC? Way more HP and torque.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!!!!! SWEEEEEEEET!!!!!
sick, I have the same truck. I love your videos
Thanks man! Appreciate it
Now I'll watch the video.
NICE! Looks to be quite a bit of boost for those sluggish 1st Gen. engines?!
I know you are running the cooler plugs, but did you add the AFR & Boost gauges, the 3:1 FMU and high flow fuel pump? I have everything ready to install on mine, but really want to see if the support kit works. Reliability must be there for me.
Could you make a video of the pedal commander. Install and functioning?
I would love to see a pelican case video, you are seen using them a lot in videos and shorts but no details on them.
Is this a 4 speed? Does the SC eliminate the truck's constant downshifting at highway speeds when you hit any kind of incline? If my cruise is set at 75, My 4Runner always has to downshift at the slightest of inclines to maintain speed.
If your truck was Stock, what weight and length travel trailer would you be comfortable with using the SC along with the required mods that go with it?
are those oem sunvisors ? or is it from a different yota? thanks - 98’ sr5 runner
I'm curious about that speedometer? I was always under the assumption it was too big of a pain to make it accurate running 33s
Did you have to do anything to truck. Bigger fuel pump? Spark plugs? Etc etc. I just bought the same supercharger. I drove to work once. And started pinging. Didn’t want to hurt it.
Pretty cool. How do you go about getting it smogged now that you have the super charger?
This model is Carb legal on California, and comes with the needed stickers
How many miles did yours have when you added the tvs1320? Mine has 330k but is running very well, minimal mods, i just drive a lot and tow a small trailer pretty often for work. I have thought about the supercharger but worry about my old motor giving out. Did you do anything to prepare for the charger?
i think on his instagram he said he has 280k miles when he put the supercharger on
They should be fine as long as you do the proper maintenance and watch your afr. There are trucks with 600k+ with chargers that are daily drivers.
Do a compression test first and make sure your motor is healthy before doing anything else. If it's in spec then you can start.
Do you think you get worse gas mileage with it ?
Want the new Supercharger so bad.
How was the install?
the instal was actually a lot less challenging then i thought it would be. Very clean step by step photo instructions from with the kit.
You are always pushing the bar.
is that a boost pressure joke ? haha
Why turn the overdrive off when passing?
Locks up torque converter which increases rpms, kind of like a downshifting but less aggressive. Puts the engine in the power band
@@OverlandUnderBudget oh I see, thanks for the info.
Watch out for camshaft, seizing in the Toyota V6 engines with high mileage.
First!
That was a power pass 🙂.
yes sir! and i now have a 70mm pully on it and its even better : )
