I had finally cleared up my skin. It was glowing and clear for the first time this year. But shark week came along and gave me 3 big juicy cystic pimples right in the middle of my left cheek. I am devastated, I had cleaned up my diet and lost weight too. Now these dark spots will take another 2 months to fade. I know they will go but it's so hard to stay positive with acne prone skin.
Oh no!! I completely understand how you're feeling... that's happened to me too! Keep hanging in there!! You're not alone - even though it may not seem like it - we all have imperfections ❤❤
Here are my favorite dark spot serums: Jumiso All Day Pure C 5.5 Glow Serum amzn.to/3x0sPFJ Numbuzin No.5+ Vitamin Concentrated Serum amzn.to/3Tm0dOI Anua 10% Niacinamide+ 4% TXA Dark Spot Correcting Serum amzn.to/3TflGJa Included links in the description of all the products I mentioned... hope you find one that works well for your skin 💓
A lot of great tips here, terrific job! The only comment I would add is that if you are going to use an OTC azelaic acid, you really want to use it at least 1/day to let it reach its full potential. It doesn't really excel as a "when you need it" treatment. The Peach Slices one is really good. It doesn't have salicylic acid in it like the PC one, but it also isn't stinky. :)
Thank you ❤... I haven't personally tried these, but you might want to check out the tinted sunscreens by supergoop, Tower28 & Colorscience. - supergoop.com/products/protectint-skin-tint-spf-50?variant=40749945913442 - Tower28: amzn.to/4cQCXRP - Colorscience: amzn.to/4atpEFB Let me know if you try any of them & if they worked for your skin
So glad it's helpful. I apply my azeliac acid during my morning routine right after my toner. After my azeliac acid, i'll then apply my dark spot serum.

This is by the best dark spot video Ive come across so far. Thank you so much. Just subscribed! Which two products do you recommend I can get first to start (I can only afford to buy a few at a time).
So glad it was helpful. If you have active acne & trying to address both, I’d start with azelaic acid & retinoid. They will help treat both your acne & hyperpigmentation. If you’re not breaking out, I would start with Retinoid & choose one of the dark spot serums. Hope this helps!
IMPT QUES !!!! Can ask what skincare routine (AM and PM) will you recommend for oily, clogged pores and inner dehydrated skin with all products u mentioned in the video? And can i ask there are so many serums that u showed in the video, how often do you swtich to a different serum and how do you incorporate in your skincare routine?
All of the serums mentioned are oily skin friendly, but they are targeted at treating dark spots vs. unclogging your pores. Choose your serums to help treat your skin concerns. For example, if your focused on treating acne + hyperpigmentation, then using azeliac acid + niacinamide in the am after your done cleansing your face. If you're just focused on treating your dark spots, then choose a dark spot serum. Followup with a moisturizer & sunscreen. Then in the evening, use glycolic acid (2-3 times per week) + retinoids (start with 2-3 times per week) after your finished cleansing your face. Make sure you don't use glycolic acid & retinoids during the same routine. Follow-up with a moisturizer. If you're focus is more on pore care, then I'd recommend checking out my video on how to shrink you're pores... ua-cam.com/video/YKbmG3rxELc/v-deo.html Hope this helps!
@ChristinaDiF THANKS FOR REPLYING :) I realised I do have sensitve acne-prone skin and sometimes my skin will flare up and have red pimples with pus inside. These red pimples easily formed red acne scars which are rather stubborn and doesnt go away as well too. These red acne scars will turn into dark spots or hyperpigmentation in the long term :(( I do realised that when im trying to focus on treating my dark spots and when trying to solely using dark spot serum, my acne prone skin will flare up again and this might be due to oily skin or might be cause of the serum? Thanks for recommending using azeliac acid with a combination of niaciamide which i will be trying out soon hehe. I do realised that I have a sensitive forehead that gets itchy and red from time to time especially more itchy after cleansing my face, I wonder what product i can use to tame it? Do you have other good recommendations (2-3) brands for azeliac acid besides the Paula Choice one? For the evening routine, what will be the recommended usual/daily skincare routine for my skin type after using glycolic acid (2-3 times per week) + retinoids (start with 2-3 times per week) after finished cleansing my face? Can I also ask is it bad to use glycolic acid + retinoids in the long term such as leading to dryness and weak skin barrier etc? cuz I do realised my skin barrier is rather weak, thin and losing collagen too. For the AM and PM routine that you mentioned, is it possible to include any skincare products for clogged pores as part of the routine or require another separate routine? and what will you recommend? Thanks
Great question.... I wouldn't rely on bronzing drop for SPF protection. I believe most of them do not have SPF & the ones that do - you wouldn't use enough product to protect your skin :)

For Azeliac acid serums, I'm currently using the one by Inkey List. I just ordered the Peach Slices Azeliac acid to try - I've heard great reviews. Glycolic acid & retinoids are more effective over time (e.g. consistency is key). It's important to build tolerance to these products (start with a low concentration and start slow) so you don't damage your skin barrier. Since you have sensitive acne prone skin then you might want to try Mandelic acid (gentlest AHA) or salicylic acid vs. glycolic acid since it might be too strong for your skin. Depending on what your goals are... - Mandelic acid would be better if your trying to fade hyperpigmentation & if you have inflammatory acne (e.g. papule/pustules) b/c it has anti-inflammatory properties. - Salicylic acid is better for clogged pores & getting rid of white heads and blackheads because it is able to remove dirt and oil from your pores. If you use you're chemical exfoliant, retinoid, and azeliac acid consistently it will help reduce your clogged pores over time. Also the niacinamide will help with your oil control. Hope this helps.
I NEVER DOUBT ABOUT ANY SKIN CARE PRODUCTS BUT IF SOME PPL WHICH REALLY POOR OR CAN'T EVEN LIVE IN HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.......NO NEED TO USE SKIN CARE AT ALL 😢😢😢
Thanks for your comment. It's actually ~$200 for all the products for this skincare routine. If you already have an oil cleanser, water based cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen then its about ~$140 (including tips & taxes). @@ChristinaDiF Or less! My cleanser/moisturizer/sunscreen trio is only $35! Remedy Skin just launched a dark spot product with a BUNCH of pigmentation pathway inhibitors plus retinol. It is $38 but replaces SO many other products in your evening routine that it's a great value. You should check it out!
It’s not like she buys it monthly. Everyone should at least have some skincare products. Washing your face alone with a face wash is not enough. Furthermore, you got to invest in yourself. If she can afford it then why not? $200 for 3 months is just around $67 per month, quite a good investment. Do your maths better bro.
@@aliarsenal6136 i know my math thank you, because i'm buying the same kind of sh*t every month, and it costs a fortune. a litteral fortune. Furthermore, cosmetics alone aren't enough.
