I find that US floetrol works just fine at a much higher ratio... 10:1 or there about. The key to great cells and lacing, with swipes or blowouts, is patience. Swipe super slow. Painting turned out really awesome!
Thanks Mary. And one bottle shoud last a lifetime at the rate I do paintings.
I'm trying this next! Thank you for doing the tests! Very informative. Love the Lacing as well.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching Jeannie.
I'm a believer that looks awesome and I don't have to buy Australian flotrol again
Still more to test but so far so good. It definitely looks promising.
You did say that you were able to resin over it without any pitting in it didn't you
@@cherylabrams7590 No, I was able to varnish with no issues. I am still testing resin. A video should be out soon on that.
That's great thank you so much for doing all this testing it is helping so many people God-bless 😊
Thank you. That’s an interesting alternative.
It really is! Thanks for watching Paula.
This was a great experimental video....I learnt alot...❤❤❤
Glad you liked it Camile. Did you have any questions as you were watching that didn't get answered?
Thank you for sharing your experiment, I'm going to go get some Penetrol asap!
Let me know if you find some good tips and tricks.
@@LeftBrainedArtist will do! I've heard of some artists using a few drops of Minwax wood conditioner in their medium to achieve results similar to Australian Floetrol. I think it would be cool to see a test of this compared to your Penetrol option.
Question, do you need to do anything to the painting before you varnish or resin using this product? Does it act like silicone and need washing or alcohol?
Regular varnishes go on fine. I haven't resined yet but that is next on the experiment list.
@@LeftBrainedArtist : thank you,, I varnish too, have to get some Penetrol and try it.🤗
I didn't see any "pitting" like you normally see from the wet, side views of silicone so I'm thinking not. Im trying this today on small wrapped canvases from Dollar Tree. ( they also have Small canvas boards 3ct $1)😉
@@yvette_is_Mamacado No pitting. Very flat and even when dry.
You are simply amazing 👏 ❤
Thank you for the knowledge and testing.
God bless you always 🙏
I just tried this recipe- oh. my. goodness. 😳😳😳🤯🤯🤯
Crazy right? One day I need some AF to compare head to head but for right now this will do.
@@LeftBrainedArtist I didn’t have this expectation. I actually had to step back and take a minute just to watch it.
Thank you so much Australian penetrol it's so expensive
If you are in Australia and have access to it I would just get the Australian Floetrol. It already is a cell and lacing maker.
Omg gosh did u see it after u swiped it the first time on the black side it looked like an owl cool
No, but now I have to go rewatch!
It's very good
Thanks so much.
You are awesome!! Thank You for sharing you knowledge
So nice of you Debbie. Always happy to help.
This is awesome! I’ve been using pre stain wood conditioner but these results are far better. Thank you for sharing this with us 😊🎨
You are so welcome! I didn't get the results I wanted from the wood conditioner either.
Just awesome David. I will have to look here in 🇨🇦 to see if this is available thanks so much for sharing these tests❣️👍😁👩🎨
You are so welcome
As always I love your videos. I'm still overwhelmed as a newbie but starting to makes notes! Will have to see if I can get Penetrol in Ireland. Thank you.
Good luck! Sorry I can't do more for my non-US friends.
@@LeftBrainedArtist no worries. Already learning so much for you. Thanks
This is 🤩😍
Aw thanks.
