The Mount Street area and its many issues has become an epicenter for Ireland's anti-immigration backlash lately as it has been home to hundreds of asylum seekers, mainly unvetted and undocumented in Ireland, who have been forced to live in unsanitary conditions in a makeshift tent city reminiscent of Skid Row Los Angeles.
The pressing issue of homelessness among asylum seekers and refugees is on the minds of many Irish people as the number of foreigners arriving on our shores increases, at times creating countrywide unrest.
Ben shares his insights on key topics like the Barbie Kardashian situation (a transgender woman accused of threatening to end the life or cause serious harm to two women) and the future of asylum seekers in Ireland. Ben also speaks of his thoughts around the questions he poses to politicians, and his thoughts on Leo Varadkar exiting a conference leaving one of his questions unanswered.
As frustrations build among the people of Ireland who see the influx of migrants, we allow the homeless in Ireland to remain in emergency accommodations and unsafe hostels, while some Irish homeless are dying on our streets. My aim in posting this video is to continue documenting Dublin's decay and show the reality of Dublin without the veneer the media tend to gloss it over with and hopefully help us all to stay safe in Dublin.
Are the Irish government failing their own people (Newtownmountkennedy, Wicklow Town, Mount Street asylum seekers in tents) while we suffer poverty in Ireland?
Why are Irish homeless still on the streets while asylum seekers are given accommodation? Why has Minister for Justice of Ireland Helen McEntee pledged 14k places to be built to house asylum seekers by 2028 when she can't house the 14k homeless we already have here. How can you fit a litre into a pint bottle?

Lads, something that really bugs me. We speak of all these migrants crossing borders...but another huge problem is extra EU fake students that come here thanks to a loophole, that allows them to work 20 hours x week. Then they rent gig economy accounts(deliveroo,just eat allows account owners to have someone else to work on their behalf, no need for vetting or providing documents),work full time for 2 or 3 of them and end up overstaying their welcome. The uk clamped down on it, pushing those company to put in place limits and controls to it, maybe its time for us to do the same?
