    I love the look of this AI for solo play. A card deck for spawning is a great idea, and the operations cards are a really cool addition, so you don't have to keep flicking through a rulebook to find your mission page!
    All great stuff so far! Looking forward to release!
    Mission suggestion:
    Operation Trident Ember - Infiltrate and disrupt / destroy shipping supplies (WMD, Ammo, Fuel, Vehicles etc) from a naval asset such as a port or warehouse. Bonus objectives - obtaining future shipping manifests and other intel.
    Keep this coming mate! Looking awesome!

      Thanks a lot for the comment mate! I also like the middion idea though i want all my missions to be location agnostic so anybody can play so I'll keep the idea but remove the shipping port part. Also like thz fanifest idea. It could be a future campaign with linked scenario !

      @@TheSoloWargamer absolutely agree, the port is definitely too specific for a general mission / player. I think the shipping manifest / documentation for a linked campaign would work nicely!

    As you asked for some operation name ideas I thought I would propose a few.
    Operation Firestarter/Operation Catalyst - A mission where you have to perform some action (send radio message, raise flag, etc.) that will help incite local resistance to OPFOR.
    Operation Eurus (Greek god of the East wind - I stole the name from Arma 3's Operation Eastwind) - Rumours are that there is an experimental WMD located within OPFOR territory, your team must investigate. (goal is to locate intel on the device. There is a chance no intel will be found, in that case the WMD is extracted from OPFOR territory by their allies - this is a minor victory. If you locate intel on the device location you can conduct a mission to capture it. - this is a major victory)
    Operation Viper (again stealing names from Arma 3's OPFOR ghost style faction) - Your team has located where the experimental WMD is located just in time. Outside forces are aware you are here and are moving to extract the device. Capture the device before they can escape. (Enemy will be a different, elite, faction from the standard OPFOR, there will be a time limit. Overall this should be a very challenging mission, even just surviving is a victory. - Minor victory: OPFOR extracted the device, but we survived and have evidence of their involvement. - Major Victory: We successfully captured the device. Now we have conclusive evidence of outside involvement and the WMD project.)
    Operation Taskmaster - You have been training/assisting local allied forced when you are ambushed by OPFOR. You must try coordinate the allied forces and hold off OPFOR. (This mission would have the complication that at the start of each turn you must roll to see whether the allied forces are going to obey your commands, if the roll fails the allies will follow AI doctrine. To spice things up you could have it that you must perform a task which limits the involvement your troops can take in the fight and/or add in a critical fail element, where if the roll for ally control goes very badly some of them begin to flee the battlefield.
    Operation Postman Pat (there is almost certainly a better name than this): - Your team must deliver an important piece of intel to an undercover intelligence agent. Unfortunately the area of the meet up is patrolled by OPFOR. (This is a covert mission - Minor victory: you successfully passed on the intel, but the alarm was raised, your contact has been compromised and will have to leave. Major victory: you successfully passed on the intel and remained undetected. Your contact will be able to provide assistance to you in a future mission.)
    Operation anthropoid (inspired by the real operation) - An OPFOR HVT, known for their brutality, is in the AO. A small portion of your team has been inserted to assist local resistance in taking them out. Unfortunately the equipment of the local resistance you are using is unreliable, this may go haywire. (Primary weapons have a chance to jam, but your troops will have access to grenades, even if it is not standard resistance equipment. Minor Victory: You injured the HVT but you were forced to retreat and go into hiding. You hear on the radio that the HVT died of their wounds, but not it is too late to escape as OPFOR are searching the area - Follow up last stand type mission. Major victory: You successfully killed the HVT before he could escape. You must take this opportunity to extract before OPFOR send out patrols to hunt down the assassins - Could add follow up extract mission possibly.)

      thanks for all the cool ideas mate! I'm definitely going to take some of these in future expansion. Linked mission is also something I want to do in the future. I have a proper campaign in mind in the style of call of duty where you move to different part of the world tracking terrorist and what not, this will be very cool as you will have access to different units on different missions ...
      I also love you ideas with the local force training that can turn on you or leave the AO, this is soo cool! the weapon jam is already in the rules too ^^

      @@TheSoloWargamer Awesome. I wasn't sure if weapon jamming would be a thing or not, but it is very appropriate for Operation Anthropoid, given that in the real operation the assassin team had intended to shoot the target, but when the moment came the sten gun they were using jammed. Fortunately they had grenades, one went off beneath the car, injuring the target who later died of an infected wound. The fighters were eventually cornered and had a last stand in a church. It is a very interesting operation.

    You can use the d20 as a scatter die. Use the corner at the top of the number result as an arrow.

    Operation Reciprocity, from the famous movie, has always struck me as very cool. Some kind of punishing mission or something in that line, like a sanction action in response to an unprovoked attack or threat.

    well, I'll certainly be waiting for the rules drop. Btw, will there be any kind of enemies that are not just military/terrorists? Like maybe some kinds of monsters or smth

      Thanks! and yeah I have planned some thematic expansion and I'll let the community choose which one to do first. Among the ideas I have in mind, some zombies of course inspired by left 4 dead with many different type of zombies. An expansion in the stalker universe with mutants and all the creatures from the video game. Something in the world of xcom 2. something inspired by the SCP universe too and open to more ideas :) oh and mayby dynosaurs too ^^

    Hi Martin, trying to set up my first game.
    1. How do you determin the tak force loadouts? Do you simply choose one primary from the class weapons listed on the unit card, and add a pistol as a secondary?
    2. How do you determin what weapons the OPFOR units are equipped with when spawned?
    3. Is ammo limited for the grenade launchers and RPGs?
    4. What weapons can be equipped with a silencer? (it is explicit in the rules that the sidearm may, but what about SMGs for example ?).
    5. Regarding the "Schockwave" ability of the Demolition specialist: The rule on the card mentions "explosive devices" > I am assuming this only applies to Explosive Charges, not grenades? How many Explosive Charges does the unit carry?

      Hey Thibault!
      1. It's based on what the actual model is carrying and based on what the class has access to and in general yes, it's one main weapon and 1 sidearm. I have a couple of sculpts with like a sniper that have an smg on the backpack but its pretty rare.
      2. It's defined on each class, looking at the insurgent faction for example, if you have a guy with a shotgun, only the executioner class can use this weapon. for assault rifle it's the most comon weapon and multiple classes can use it. So for this its heavily based on the models you have available.
      3. no, and I'll clarify that part on the new version I'm working out. Typically the enemy rocket launcher guy should be limited to 1 rocket per turn for example.
      4. Any weapons technically. I'll also clarify in the new version. Also in the new version, silenced weapons can still be heard up to 6".
      5. All explosive from this guy, so demo charge, grenade, rocket. Demo charge is generally 1 per mission as it's mainly use to destroy large equipement. In the new version there will be a breahcer class dedicated to make holes in walls

      yes, even if they already moved with a scatter dice. This way it make the enemy AI harder!

      J'ai fait une série de 4 videos qui détaille ou trouver tout ce que tu peux voir sur ma table des figurines au vehicules et aux batiments. Jai aussi fait un tuto dédié sur ces batiments ;)

      Il sort en septembre ! :) j'attends juste de recevoir mes cartes plur filmer une partie complète et j'attends qu'un pote me le traduise en français et c'est bon !
      Les tokens rouge seront dispo sur le site deskops semaine prochaine. J'aimerai montré le site au début de la vidéo. Le site est pas accessible pour l'instant mais sera en ligne semaine prochaine !

      Pour la coop oui bien sur c'est de base possible dans haywire. Tu divise juste l'escouade en 2 unité chacune controllé par un joueur! :)
