Sometimes people don't realize that God wants to use parts of you parts of who you are. For example. I had a young woman in my Bible study that was a great bargain hunter. She was one of those people that would get a dozen things from the super market for a few dollars. She was just a gifted shopper... someone like that needs to be a part of the outreach ministry to help purchase supplies for the needy. We just need to think outside of the box Sometimes. Some people have an amazing prayer life. The church should give them a shopping list of prayer so they can take it home and do spiritual warfare.
Faith is a spiritual gift. To have faith for 12 yrs or so.. that's amazing! Sometimes we focus on negative things to much and ignore the positive. The devil will whisper those thoughts into a believers ears just to create doubt. As long as we focus on Jesus, He will give us the best opportunity to use the gifts we have. May God bless y'all
Well, this young lady is not alone. I have been asking God this same question. I have no talent or gift and now left with head trauma and struggles. Praise the Lord I'm still here anyway.
Never feel inferior. God made everyone special. May the Lord Jesus return soon! Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! I made this channel because I felt guilty for not witnessing enough, I’d appreciate any kind of support. Don’t give up! God loves you so much! So do I. The Lord bless you!!
I don’t feel inferior. I just feel like there’s no place for me to serve in the church. I’m not physically capable of volunteering. I don’t really have a heart for encouragement (my introverted self gets in the way). At best, I may have some minimal gift of knowledge, but that’s not something I’m capable of sharing with others because of my lack of personal and social skills and my inability to think on the spot.
You can pray on that, you don’t have to think about this as never changeable in your life. God can change us, and make our flaws smaller for His glory as we have faith in His power and pray for Him to use us. I can tell for experience, I was very shy and didn’t feel capable of speak to others like that, but as I have been praying to God for courage, faith and boldness to talk about His truth, He is changing me, He is helping me and using me in the church. Pray and persevere in prayer.
John Piper is surely right that every Christian has received a gift or gifts from God. It's just that some of these gifts are not things that we automatically describe as gifts, like giving and showing mercy (Rom 12:8).
It is not a sin not to have a certain gift. But it is a sin not to seek gifts from God (1 Cor 12:31). And it is a sin not to use the gifts that we have (1 Pet 4:10).
If you read 1 Peter 4:10 in context you see that some examples of gifts are given in verse 8, 9, and 11. Showing love, showing hospitality, the gift of speaking which can be presented in many ways from evangelism, podcasts, singing, forms of written word, and the the gift of serving which also has many applications. Notice 1 Peter 4:10 is not talking of "Spiritual gifts" which were meant for that specific time and has ceased...but is speaking simply of Gifts, given us by God.
@@solarjudgement4575 You couldn't be more wrong. See, for example, in 1 Cor 13:8-10 how Paul assumes that gifts of the Spirit will continue until Jesus returns. And in 1 Cor 14:1 Paul commands Christians to pursue spiritual gifts. This is a command that all of us today need to obey. You say that I should repent, but anyone who is brushing aside biblical commands is the one who should repent.
Can you explain how the ‘Church/body” pick and choose the gifts God has given and not Squander them that they might be used to build up, etc? What if over time the decision wasn’t wise and it’s too late to use the discarded gifts “God gives and God takes away” “use it or (maybe) loose it”.
I think Kara is feeling low because she’s pointing to a culture of praise to spiritual gifts as self worth, in opposition to a real connection to Christ
I think John Piper is going too far when he says that 'the gift that some people have in the body of Christ is to be weak'. Paul says that parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable (1 Cor 12:22). So Christians who could be considered to be weak, including those with profound mental disabilities, are indispensable in the body of Christ. But Paul doesn't say that their weakness is their gift.
Kera doubted she had the Spirit because she didn't know her spiritual gift. She needs to understand that the Spirit is received by believing the gospel of Jesus Christ, not by any other means. This would be her pastor's and teachers fault for either lying or just being confusing.

The Bible knows nothing of any spiritual gifts that have ceased.

It would be helpful to put the number of the episode in title, this would help to find other video episode numbers you might refer to.
Its easier to search on their website.

Sorry about that just to see what one would reply and say. But these humans are being tricked.

Well if none of you have a spirit gift then, no one will get a present for Christmas. 🤑😁🤫🤗😇
