Tree man here 🙂👍. Ya John. Lower that bad boy. I'm 6.3 and I lowered all my bikes 1-2 inches. They handle much better.
‘JET Films’ is also doing a RoadKing cholo build. He helped his buddy do one and he recently bought a RoadKing and is doing a cholo build currently.
Cholo is slang for people of mixed blood and Vicla is basically a style of bike along the lines of lowrider cars, generally featuring long fishtails, high bars and very intricate fancy paintwork.

Definitely need hard bags, fish tails, apes, and spoke wheels.
A 21 fits under the front fender if you tilt it back when u install the 21inch wheel. You have to tilt it so the wheel doesn’t rub and cause the fender paint to burn. The best way is to just install fender risers then u won’t have to worry about tilting the fender correctly or worry if the paint is gonna burn.
This is a beautiful classic motorcycle. If it were mine, ascetically, all I would do is clean the lower forks and put on a set of lower mini apes.

The "Vicla" is the bike. The guy sitting on the bike is a "Cholo". Some of the basics of a vical build are : spoked wheels, usually 21 in the front and 18'' in the back. Chrome, chrome and more chrome, flashy lowrider inspired candy flake paint, for handlebars either beach bars or tall ape hangers, fish tails, streched front and rear fender, front and rear air ride to lay it low.
Vicla pronounce it like vee klah . Put the two together . Vicla 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Lowered air ride, 16" apes, FAT spoke rims, LONG fishtip exhaust, and a low rider paint job
u could polish out the lowers it would be a lot of elbow grease but u could sand them out and buff them
Cholo is the way to go. Get the Carlini gangster 18inch, steadycustom angled fishtails, chrome front forks and stretched bags and rear end.
Look up hill country custom cycles. They have a video all about putting a 21 on a touring bike. Super easy, takes about 30 minutes.
sweet lookin bike cant wait to see what it turns into and good job on the find thats an earlier 88 so timken bottom end in 03 they used a more cost effective but your bottom end should be bomb proof
I did a 21 60spoke front wheel I did use spacers to raise the fender alittle because it rubbed. I also went with a thin white look at the pics I sent you. Also hard bags but I didn’t do stretched bags I also added the extend visors on my lights also in the pics. I did dirty air rear suspension gave the bike a low tuck look

Gosh John, I'm an old timer, but I love that bike just the way it is. Maybe upgrade the fuel injection, LEDs, add a windshield, and anything else that's worn out in the engine, but I'd sure like to have it.

Fender will have to be pushed up just a hair. Friend of mine did it thought it would work. Ended up heating the inside of the fender and burning the paint. Bike looks awesome good luck with the build
Front & Rear stretched fenders, DNA specialty chrome diamond cut mammoth 52 spoke w/white walls (21" front, need matching rear if pulling bags and changing rear fender), lowered as well

21 inch front wheel will fit that fender . I did it on my 01 road king
Yes you can put a 21 on there with zero modification to the fender. I’ve done it with My Rd., King
They do make bracket kits but unless you’re going with a really wide tire for a really tall tire on a 21 inch wheel they are necessary. My 21 inch front wheel is a factory Harley Davidson break out wheel

It could very well be the tune/throttlebody system. I could see in the previous video that it uses the old magnelly style Throttlebody. They only use that for a couple of years in the early fuel injection days because it was problematic. That’s why they switched to the Delphi system but they still currently use. That throttlebody system generally works OK but one word of advice. When it starts to give you trouble take it off throw it in the trash and put a carburetor on it.

I love this bike and think it will be a great project for you to turn in to a beast. I know you like the the bars that are currently on the bike but, I gotta tell you, Carlini Gangster Apes would look killer on that bike. I think matching wheels would be the way to go. I don't know if you said anything about the bags but hard bags in my opinion would look better. Fishtail exhaust will also look great. I am excited to see how it turns out. Looking forward the upcoming videos. Good luck with the build.
I have a 04 road king custom with the newer efi with a 100 inch sidewinder big bore kit and S&S 585 gear cams and love it. Be careful with the magnetti mareli fuel injection it can be a nightmare
Look up ridewright wheels 21” spoke chrome the best for bike build.
I think that bike would really look nice with gold pen striping against that color A set of true dual fish tail. Switchover the black buttons to chrome. Yellow lenses on the lamps. Front and back thrashing supply boards for all the scrapping you will do from putting air ride suspension on it to ride slammed through the city. Blanket roll front and back.
Ya think those bags would fit a 2015 heritage softail classic???
I know Pro Monkey had to do fender extensions on his build, but that's on a Heritage so I'm not sure if you would need to relocate the fender on a Road King...
Definitely have to have the front and rear wheels match.

Its in great shape good bones for a build. If your doing a Vicla it needs a fish tail exhaust. You will need a spacer to raise the fender a bit to fit a 21" wheel.
