The band OVERKILL take his name of this song...! Mikky Dee (drummer) ex King Diamond plays now with Scorpions... I saw them on 2018 and they play this song in Honour of Lemmy!!
The story I've heard Lemmy tell is that he has the mic so high is due to stage fright. Back when they started out in the 70's they played for almost empty audiences and by having the mic high he didn't have to see how few were in the audience. Then it stuck.
Love that too, but disagree. Just listened to about six different recordings of this track from each lineup last night (wife was not happy, LOL!), and loved them all. They're different enough to be appreciated separately. I find Mikkey to be a more powerful drummer than Phil was, though it was Phil's messing with the double bass that makes this song. And Lemmy's voice has deepened by the time of this recording, more gravel in it; it was noticeably more shrill in the early days. Several more decades of smoke and drink, plus 25 or more pounds on him, I suppose. The sound engineers and the technology have also improved over the course of time. I feel like the K/T/C lineup was a bit more punk and slightly faster than this version, which I enjoy as I'm more a punk fan than a metal fan, but I still like this take better. For my money, the Fast Eddie Clark vs Phil Campbell question is more interesting.
For this show they had a number of cameras placed at the edge of the stage that filmed at the same time and so this 3D picture at the end was created. IMHO a quite useless effect for a concert. Especially when this effect won't produce moving image. This is from a concert DVD and they used the effect maybe twice on the whole thing.
Lemmy doesnt play bass.. he plays rhythm guitar .. he just HAPPENS to do it with a bass. 😂
Damn straight
@@jesseperrell7066damn fucking straight 🤟

That’s what Lemmy was: speed, distortion, raspy voice and fucking badass songs!

Drums like cannons, a guitarist who can't tune a guitar and a bass player who isn't add 130 db ..
Best band ever by miles .

Absolute British legends
The legendary Live Concert in my Hometown Düsseldorf/Germany......you can see me in the Moshpit :)
You don't analyze High Power Rock'n'Roll as the mighty Motörhead.
You just crank the volume up to infinity and let yourself take off.♠️♠️♠️🤘
Lemmy played facing to the sky because he felt uncomfortable making eye contact with the audience. He was shy.
Check out Motorhead's version of Whiplash, it's f-ing hard, u'll love it!)
Never stop
Never quit
We Are Motorhead
The therm "Motörhead" has nothing to do with "motors". Motörheads are people extremly high on speed.
Don’t want no sleep, not for a week, because I’m a speedfreak!!
Everlasting speedfreak!!
♠️🤘
This is a workout on the 🥁🤟🏴
If yo don't know Lemmy and Motorhead then you don't know rock and roll.
Rock n Roll Masterpiece. Best Motorhead Team.
Motörhead and Sabaton are my favorite band. I have tattoos of both bands 😎
word is feedback
The original drummer,,,Phil Taylor.
You want the original line up for this song , Taylor, Clark, and lemmy , 100% better
