You Havent heard the best version off Overkill YET. this version is with Mikey "The Animal"Dee on the drums. Phil "Wurzo" CAmpbell on the guitar. And Lemmy himself on Bass and Vocals this iss the link ua-cam.com/video/30kAX4gMbfg/v-deo.html
This is where we came in. This song put Motorhead on national tv, and this is the performance we were talking about in school the next morning. Bands like Motorhead, Gillan and Judas Priest were the entree for New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Other great double bass drummers of this era were Cozy Powell and Brian Downey.
"We are the road crew", the atypical "God was never on your side" and their collab with Girlschool as "Headgirl" a cover of "Please don't touch". All recommended.
It's funny hearing that now and it seems solid but so chilled, back when it came out we thought it was playing at crazy speed, this was before thrash metal and probably responsible for it. I was lucky enough to watch Phil play at leat 5 times, What a lineup, currently best band to go see at the great gig in the sky.
1979 sounds right. Thought I might be off. Rock'n'roll total beasts. Phil and Lemmy for sure. Can't recall hearing them after Eddie. Miss that bass playing fool.😅❤
@@L33Reacts Yeah, check out Lemmy's autobiography. I can highly recommend it to you. Lemmy was one of the badest motherf... in the World. ;) and he loved The Beatles and Hendrix.
Motorhead considered themselves a rock band more in line with Ramones . I saw Motorhead after the debut album and after the next two. Like Judas Priest the band I discovered in 78 , I like it Munch but with intervals of other music in between
Phil could have been an inspiration for Animal - the drummer for the Muppets Band! Check out Saxon for some more early inspiration for Metallica, you wont be disappointed!
Saw this original line up loads of times late 70s early 80s. Pure unfiltered rock n roll. And man were they fucking loud. Lemmy was originally a bad guitar player which is why he played the way he did. Sometimes playing chords and strumming like a rythm guitar player. The piece of the puzzle youre missing between Lemmy and Hawkwind is the Pink Fairies. Check out their Never Never Land album. Its peak UK freak/psych. Start with Do It!
You should check out their cover of AC/DC's It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Want o Rock And Roll) just as good as the original maybe even a bit better though no bagpipes
Lemmy started as a Jimi Hendrix roadie. He was then in the bizarre dpacerpcl band Hawkwind. RIP this entire line-up. For a completely different experience, try the title track from 1916. As a military family man, grab a tissue. For a very unique exoerience, King's X, a three piece Texas based band that somehow combines Texas blues, with metal, gospel, and The Beatles and were launched by Megaforce records, with debuted Metallica and Anthrax.
What track are we doing next? I'm game for whatever. This was fucking NUTS lol

Down on the Street by the Stooges from their Funhouse album.
Next? Bomber? We are the road crew!!!? Yes please!
Dead Men Tell No Tales has always been a big favourite of mine.
Death or Glory off the Bastards album. Mikkey Dee on drums. 🤘
They are Motörhead and they play rock'n roll 🤘😎🤘
Damn straight.🤘 😎🤘
This was when everything in the UK was either punk or New Wave. They kept "Real" rock n roll alive.......loved them🎸...you have to do "Bomber" next.

This is amazing and the live version off No Sleep Till Hammersmith is off the fucking chain.
🤘🧙♂🤘
It’s like a train!! Those drums! Killer!
Motorhead? One of The Greatest Bands EVER! Saw them with the Scorpions in Germany, Great show! LOUD!
Hawkwind - Orgone Accumulator worth a reaction. On Masters of the Universe.
I love Motörhead so much!!! I’m very excited for this premiere.
They were something to behold live
Love everything about this. To coin an old phrase...."now you're cooking with gas" Rock 'n roll forever! Blessings all.
Haven't heard this/ surprisingly l LOVE it! Wow🎸
Get the party started!!
Love Lemmy!!! 🤟
"We are the road crew", the atypical "God was never on your side" and their collab with Girlschool as "Headgirl" a cover of "Please don't touch". All recommended.
Wow. Awesome…!
Thanks, Lee!

Try out Hawkwind featuring Lemmy - "Psychedelic Warlords (Disappear In Smoke)" and "You'd Better Believe It" then head off on your Hawkwind sojourn
You want to hear the No Sleep Till Hammersmith live version. This is great, but the speed and volume are just turned up ten notches.
When saw for the first time live on stage in a small basketball stage the Motorhead, after can't clean well for 3-4 later😂🤘
buy "No sleep 'til Hammersmith" and enjoy
You've got that head bangin' down man! Haha. I bet you've listened to this again.
Motorhead did a song for the Airheads movie called Born To Raise Hell. Song and movie both really good :)
I first heard Motorhead in a Alternative ( punk/goth) club in the 80s this was a regular play.
1979 sounds right. Thought I might be off. Rock'n'roll total beasts. Phil and Lemmy for sure. Can't recall hearing them after Eddie. Miss that bass playing fool.😅❤
rip motorhead ,super good band❤👍👍
Lemmy worked as a roadie for Jimi Hendrix back in the days.
Another connection right there…. It never stops!

Lee. Get it together. That is a definite “ Fuck it again “ moment !!!!!! We’ve got all night
You should check out Fastway, the band that Fast Eddie started after he left Motorhead. The song Say What You Will is a good start!

This was rock without the roll. 🎶🎶
Phil could have been an inspiration for Animal - the drummer for the Muppets Band! Check out Saxon for some more early inspiration for Metallica, you wont be disappointed!
good point, but probably the other way around as Muppets came first, and it makes sense why he would have that nickname, ne looks like him.

motorhead we are motorhead ohh yeahhhh
🤘♠️🤘
They are all good , but I would go with No Sleep Till Hammersmith as my favorite Motorhead album ! Maybe just because it's live , I don't know !
Hawkwind were on acid. Lemmy was on speed. They were not a good fit.
Lemmy is GOD!
Motorhead, Stone dead forever from the Golden Years ep
You should check out their cover of AC/DC's It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Want o Rock And Roll) just as good as the original maybe even a bit better though no bagpipes

checkout Motorhead covering Enter Sandman
Not unplugged. Full on rock and roll
The purest form of hard rock right here
Or metal if you want to call it that. It’s got some thrash in there too…. They blend it all together so well. They were pure innovators it seems
@@L33Reacts yeah that’s true.
rect "Burner" Motorhead = twice higher speed song / drumming
Sorry bout your eye looks normal from here
