"There's never anybody to vote for: only someone to vote against."~Lemmy
Too true/still relevant
Lemmy also told people that "Manners are Free". Kinda goes with Rob and Amber's ending message to make someone smile.
Still true. Has been for a long time.
Lemmy was a smart man.
No such thing as best of two evils. It's all evil.
I love that Amber is a full-fledged METALHEAD! 🥁❤ 🎸
Yeh they need to get some Slipknot in her ears - Everything Ends or Duality
@@jezzthesecondhandman Yeah and Black Label Society and Pantera.
It makes me so happy that Amber has been transformed into a hard rock/metalhead!! We need more women in our ranks!! If a Harley, a bottle of Jack, and a pack of Marlboro's could sing... it would sound like Lemmy. He walked the walk for sure and influenced so many bands I love!
One of my favorite music genres! ❤
Met him many times in my days as a security “operative” at events and concerts and always a gent,ALWAYS funny, always kind, never heard a bad word from him about anyone!
*except politicians of course, goes without saying.
...and swallowed a box of roofing nails.
Me! Up the Irons!🤘
You guys should follow this one with the Motörhead/Girlschool duet Please Don’t Touch, it’s also a banger!
I agree!
How about Girlschool for female Friday, cmon let's go and Race the devil are absolute bangers
There's a good version with Wendy O'Williams as well
@@africanfartingfrog That is the best version
Such a great song.
The band that unified Punk and metal.
Finally someone said it 👍👍👍👍
That’s hitting the nail on the head!
I attended the US festival in '82 with a crowd of 670,00; Monsters of Rock, '91 with an estimated attendance of 77,000. Yet a Motorhead concert has the most diverse crowd I've ever seen. Bikers, punk rockers, hairbags(like I was), country fans, clean cut fans, hippie fans, groups of Samoan fans, groups of Latino fans, you name it. Everyone got along peacefully.
Metalheads are the most diverse group of fans. Period!
Fun reaction. Whole song was inspired by Philthy's new double bass drum setup, and the noise he could make on it. Song has 3 endings because it's overkill, of course. You should imagine it at 120 db, where you feel it as much as hear it. Lemmy said we play rock and roll, we just play it louder and faster than anyone else. Amber's discovered "the joy" of Motorhead. Give her a few more tunes and she'll be ready for Live "Everything Louder than Everyone Else". Some suggestions: Back At the Funny Farm, Orgasmtron (Lemmy opines on war, politics & religion), I'm So Bad Baby I Don't Care, some really late career tune (Runaround Man, Get Back In Line, In the Name of Tragedy).
may i add "1916"? sabaton has brought this song to many people who might not have heard it. i think it's wonderful. 1916 is unlike any other motörhead song.
some of the foursome era of motorhead is great too like I'm so bad baby I don't care, Burner, Bad Woman, Going To Brazil, The One to sing the blues. Killed by death, Orgasmatron, Cos you got the power, and Eat The Rich.
also the best motorhead live album IMHO is No Sleep At All.
And their stuff done with Girlschool, and "Bomber"!
@@adampound5975 please don't touch is a fun trach featuring both motorhead and girlschool. also girlschool did a version of motorhead's bomber as well.
@@chrisstory563 The Girlschool version is....the bomb!
They are Motorhead and they play rock and roll. And they're really damn good at it. 🤘🤘🍻.
And motorhead was one of the loudest bands in the concert
I can still remember when Amber didn't "get" metal! Now she fully embraces it! I'm happy for BOTH of you that you have learned to appreciate all kinds of music!
Exactly. You can love Motorhead and Whitney Houston. What a beautiful world.
The guitarist Fast Eddy Clarke had a band called Fastway. So good. Try - Say What You Will or Easy Livin'.
Fast way was excellent, saw them way back when, RIP Fast Eddie!
You just can't find a harder rocking band anywhere. These guys were relentless. Always....OK, my list: "Just Cos You've Got The Power", "Love Me Forever" (yes a ballad!), "Eat The Rich", "Dr. Rock", "I'm So Bad Baby, I Don't Care", "Hell raiser", "Born To Raise Hell" for starters. I'm sure I'll think of more, but it's a start
Another Perfect Day, Back At The Funny Farm, Capricorn, Bomber, Killed By Death, We Are The Road Crew, The Chase is Better Than The Catch...
Lemmy's ballads are amazing! "1916" had me in literal tears and "One More F*cking Time" is a slow burn masterpiece. And the affirmation of reason called "God was Never on Your Side" is simply brilliant.
Ramones, Angel City, Goin' to Brazil, No Voices in the Sky...
Just Cos You Got the Power is Brilliant
Let your CHAOS out! Perfectly summarized Motorhead. Let your inner shadow out with music and Carl Jung would be proud!
Some artists act like heavy metal, Motörhead and Lemmy were never anything but the real deal. Hard core to the end, cheers to Lemmy, sitting at the end of the bar in Heaven ✌️
I saw Motörhead live 5 times in my home City of Norwich (England), in quite a small concert hall. My ears have never recovered! They always finished with a monster loud version of Overkill. Epic rock, nothing finer! 🤟🤟
YES!!! my favourite motörhead song! one of the best encore songs in rock & roll. thanks for doing this one!!! i love it, i never want it to end. 🥰🙂
LOVE IT!!!
This is one of my all time fave songs!!!
Now go the opposite direction, and listen to some SKA!!!
Moment, by the Pietasters, would be right up your alley.
First saw Motorhead in 1978 and then followed them round the Midlands until the mid 80s when I got married and my (now ex) wife decided I needed to be a grown up. This song came about when Phil was getting used to his new double bass drums and Lemmy wrote it around Phil's practicing. Love this band and particularly this line up. As the great man said - "Is everything louder than everything else? Then we'll begin".
Lemmy took that from Ian Giilan who says it on DP'S Made In Japan live album recorded in 1972.
Saw them at Friars Aylesbury 6th August 1977. They only had a few songs to play as they were new - so they played their set twice over.❤
And the Count Bishops were their support band
the birth of double kick bass drums in metal! evidently philthy was waiting for the others to show up to jam while practicing on some new gear and when they heard him as they were walking up a new sound was born
These are songs that get you pumped when you are not motivated to do something. Gym, big game, whatever.....Lemmy has his own sound.
"Killed By Death" is my favorite Motorhead song. Metallica also covered this song, very well too.
Metallica (And in particular Lars) were HUGE Motorhead fans!
Ah yes, the song title is so enticing, you've got to listen. :)
Oh. How can you have just 1 favorite? I got like 50 I can’t choose between including killed by death lol. But that’s cool. It’s a great song.
Actually one of my least favourite songs by motorhead. they have so many good songs nobody ever heard of
Can’t bop your head fast enough to keep up with this song without getting whiplash 😂😂 ♥️it!
I loved this when it came out in 79, I would never have guessed that 43 years later I'd be watching this reaction, people still loving it!
Brilliant reaction. Saw Motorhead and Girlschool live at the same concert. My ears were ringing for two days afterwards.
Love this song, the live version is great as well same video as Ace of Spades.
The entire overkill album is my favorite hard rock album of the 70s. Great album!
I have been fortunate enough to see Motorhead (THE GREATEST BAND IN ALL OF HISTORY) live 4 times. God aka Lemmy greatly approves of your take on this song!
The best line up of the best rock and roll band. Front row at Newcastle City Hall and I couldn't hear a fkn thing for two days afterwards. Love it.
Lemmy sounds like he gargles with razor blades. And thats a good thing. Jammmin! "We are the band that moves next door to you and YOUR lawn dies." Lemmy K.
Motörhead’s best album cover
I agree, it's iconic I love the 'spaciness' of it with the green and even blue tinted logo that sure never happened again...
Drummer Phil Taylor's double bass was the beginning of metal.
I love Amber's reaction. She's ready. Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax are bands you should be on the look for.
My vote is for Anthrax " Bring the noise. Jordan might recognize a flavor flav
Well, Sabbath was the beginning, but yeah Philthy had a major influence on thrash drummers.
ROB SQUAD THIS HAS DEFINITELY GOT TO BE, FOR MYSELF, ONE OF THE TOP THREE MOST FUN VIDEOS TO WATCH YOU GUYS REACTING TO!! ESPECIALLY JORDAN BEING SO SURPRISED THAT AMBER WAS TOTALLY INTO THIS SONG!!
WE'VE CREATED A MONSTER😂😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah, our hair was blown back, the 2nd time we saw them was early 80s, point blank, leaning on the stage at the old Agora Ballroom in W Hartford CT. Lemmy was 3 freaking feet away, sweating like crazy, barking out lyrics and playing like a man possessed. As soon as they turned on their amps we knew we were in for it. Great show, I'll never forget, ears rang for 2 days and minor hearing loss. Well worth it. The first time it was loud as Hell but not like that, we were in the New Haven Colloseum as they were opening for Ozzy Osbourne with Randy Rhodes on lead guitar. Another fantastic show, both amazing bands. Motorhead rules forever! 🎸
Motorhead are great, such a brutally honest, down to Earth, unapologetic musical force, they had the best intro of any band I've ever seen, no fireworks and pyrotechnics, no big curtain drop with intro music, they'd just come out on stage, pick up their instruments, Lemmy would wait until everyone was ready to go, then he'd step up to the microphone and say
"We are Motorhead, we are from England, we play Rock and Roll!"
...Then the chaos ensued
I saw Motorhead in the early 80's. My ears are still hurting. What a trip.
You need to see the live version from the Stage Fright DVD (it's on UA-cam). That one is the "new" lineup, not the classic one, but the energy and power will blow you away. Motorhead needs to be experienced in a live performance really, preferably before about 2011/2013 when Lemmy was ill and they slowed down a bit.
I went to see Motorhead in 78 in a small club in Plymouth, my ears are still ringing.!!
Motörhead - Sacrifice (+ Drumsolo) (Stage Fright) says it all man i miss em
That's some Hard Rocking Right There! Fun & Great Reaction, You Guys! :)
Woo-hoo, Motorhead! Yes, do this live as mentioned from this century, the performance was amazing and one of the best ends of a song ever, Total Overdrive!!! Do it live, worth the thrill. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
"Overkill"... The song so good they had to do two encores within the same song !
What’s sad is that Overkill never did a cover of “Motorhead”
True, but Overkill's Bobby Blitz did say they named their band because of Motorhead's Overkill song
Ive heard Overkill cover Overkill though
Just rewatched your reaction to Painkiller. The look on her face throughout the song was like she was watching an autopsy. Amber definitely has come a long way.
This reaction is absolutely priceless from the new metal goddess amber, her comments at the end "they teased us"....:"then they gave us more" is gold, next motorhead song should be the self tited track "motorhead"
The bridge between Punk and Metal.
The first rock/metal song to feature double bass throughout the entire song.
We are Motörhead we play Rock‘n Roll. Hell yeah they did.
Thanks for playing more Motorhead, and giving the people what they want. Motorhead is the greatest ever ♠️🤘
I was at that Concert, and the Bomber tour and the Ace of Spades tour here in the uk. All were absolutely ear shattering and brilliant
Seen 'em live back in the days of my youth. What a blast it was!
You rock out Amber... Anytime you want !
Y'all to much fun😂
It's official,, baptized by Lemmy🤘
You're metal heads now🎉🤘🎶
Very high energy.
Love me some Motorhead! They played so loud at a concert that pieces of the ceiling were falling on the crowd, so they played LOUDER! It's on a segment of Mysteries of the Abandoned! I think the place is in Cleveland, Ohio!
"Who would win in a fight, Lemmy or God?" "Trick question. Lemme is God." - Airheads
I do have to say that the live version is even better
We are Motörhead , and we play rock and roll. They played fast and loud and I loved it, they (and the other hard rocking bands at the time) were the sound of my teenage years. RIP Lemmy, Philthy Animal and Fast Eddie, all gone to that great gig in the sky where the amps are turned up to 11 😄
It's great Ambers embracing this band! Grew up listening to Motorhead (& Hawkwind), I was introduced to them through my brothers, who are quite a bit older than me. I was only a squirt when the Ace of Spades charted but I watched it on the telly. They used to ride old British bikes & go to all the festivals. I was born partially deaf, so we used to joke Motorhead was the only band loud enough for me!😂
Love your channel guys, this song brings back so many memories for me, Motorhead were the first band I ever saw live as a 15 year old back in 1979 in Birmingham England and Overkill was the opener for the concert, the iconic Motorhead skull has gone down in rock folklore, the teeth of the skull is based on Lemmy's teeth with his chipped tooth!! just to add though the picture of the band you have is wrong, this song is from the original classic line up of Lemmy on bass, Phil Taylor on drums and Eddie Clarke on guitar, what a band they were and great seeing you rocking out Amber!!
Motorhead's slogan was, "Everything Louder than everything else." Lemmy practically invented the hard core punk sound when punk bands were more melodic and not very loud.
Watching Amber evolve from “no hard stuff” to gettin it to Motörhead is super fun to watch.
Bomber, White Line Fever, Iron Fist, No Voices In The Sky. I could go on and on. Bobmer is my all time favorite.
Only Motorhead could even conceive of a song like this. And then execute it perfectly.
Lemmy was the ultimate rock star. Lived it to the fullest.
Try “Unsung” by Helmet! ❤ Early 90s rock… used to hear it BLARING from my older brothers room. Turned me into a 15 year old metalhead 🤘🏼
Also… GNR appetite for destruction, Metallica Master of Puppets, metal Church, Anthrax, Megadeath, Flotsam & Jetsom… soon followed by my own discovery of GRUNGE!!! AIC, PJ, Mother Love Bone, Screaming Trees….. what a hell of a time to be a teenager! ❤❤❤❤❤
I love Ambers 180 turn on rock/metal music. I remember the earlier videos where she would start by saying how rock/metal isn’t really her thing 🤣
"We are Motorhead and we play rock and roll!" - Lemmy
Lemmy's the $hit! Motorhead's Awesome, I've seen them multiple times in concert, blown away each time, play anything from their catalog and I'm happy! Thanks for the reaction.
Also, Lemmy's autobiography "White Line Fever" is a fantastic read, and if you want some more fun, check out the picture book "Where is Lemmy?" It's an adult "Where is Waldo" book with killer artistry!
Oh yeah! You said you didn't like it so much Jay but you were head-banging pretty good there LOL and rock on Amber! Great reaction. Saw these guys opening for Ozzy Osbourne on his first tour and I didn't think I was going to be able to hear Ozzy. My ears were ringing for 3 days. Amazing show. More Motorhead would include Bomber, and Killed by Death. Live version please. Also around Christmas you can do their version of Run Run Rudolph.👍😁. Also check out their version of David Bowie's.. Heroes.👍🍻🇨🇦
I sympathize with you. I first saw Motorhead in 1986 with Cro-Mags at a small venue in Cincinnati...loudest damn show i ever saw...
Love this song!! You think it's over and they start playing again... just a tiny bit of overkill.
The song goes from heavy metal to punk when he repeats overkill.
As heavy and aggressive Motorhead are, it always amuses me when you see the songs that Lemmy co-wrote with Ozzy and Zakk Wylde like "Mama, I'm Coming Home" and "See You On The Other Side"
And Hellraiser and Desire... Lemmy knew who he was writing for... he adjusted his style. Also, when Lemmy writes a ballad, no matter who it's for, he writes a banger.
A Motörhead song that cranks the aggression to 11 is Deaf Forever and Killed By Death.
I have definitely lost some of my hearing from being right up front at Motorhead shows. Unbelievable gigs! The sheer volume was totally insane!!! RIP Lemmy, Philthy Phil, Fast Eddie, Wurzel, and Larry.
Lemmy loved a cup of tea and a good book, perfect come down from being the bomb!
As Lemmy said " If we moved into the house next door to you, your lawn would die !! "
There has not been a harder-rocking power-trio than Motorhead's original line-up of Lemmy, guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke and drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor. This song, "Bomber", "Dead Men Tell No Tales", "All The Aces", "(We Are The) Road Crew", "Love Me Like A Reptile", not to mention the actual song "Motorhead", the song Lemmy took with him when he was kicked out of his previous band, Hawkwind ( "Motorhead" was actually the B-side to Hakwind's last single w/ Lemmy). You guys may actually dig Hawkwind- if you were to cross the heavy riffs and pummeling rhyrhms of early Black Sabbath, with the keyboards and spacy jams of early Pink Floyd- that's Hawkwind (especially Lemmy- period Hawkwind).
Silver Machine would be a good introduction to Hawkwind.
@@BIGBLOCK5022006 - totally
Motorhead is my favorite band, and Rob & Amber are my favorite reactors to music. Great combination! I like tracks that don't necessarily get as much attention, such as "Sacrifice", "Back at the Funny Farm (a favorite, a pure sonic wall), "Civil War", "Ridin' with the Driver", and "Whorehouse Blues". Keep it up you two, cause you're great!
Back At The Funny Farm doesn't get enough love. Amazing bass riff and hilarious lyrics.
@@UberFlambe Having had a couple of stays in mental hospitals, I can attest to the frantic chaos that pervades both this song and my experiences!
One of the best bands ever. Thanks guys
i LOVE BOTH OF YOU GUYS.
Posthumously, Lemmy for POTUS.
Motorhead "rock n roll" has to be my favorite song
Motorhead rule no 1: always live!
That was a toe tapper. Loving the chord progression.
Motorhead is OG and awesome! Perfect mix of punk and metal!
From now, Amber will pick all your songs.
One of my favorite Motorhead songs is "Deaf Forever". Probably one of the first "Viking metal" songs I ever heard! Great song. And, speaking of Viking metal, you should check out Amon Amarth. "Raise Your Horns" is a good drinking song. 🙂
I just love your music reactions 👍💥
Good chaos and wild ride describes METAL perfectly
"Born to Raise Hell", you'll both love it! There's even a version where Ice T does some of the vocals.
Hell yeah,Phil their old drummer was amazing r.i.p.
Lemmy meant so much to so many. Thank you!
The band in Motörhead and the song is OVERKILL! Don't expect a lullaby....
I saw Motorhead live in the mid-eighties. They were known at the time as the loudest band out there, and the concert was so loud it was like being hit by an aural tidal wave for an hour. Opening for them were the Cromags, Scratch Acid, and the Plasmatics. I'm pretty sure that show was responsible for some of the tinnitus I have now.
I still think that Amber really prefers early seventies soft rock to late seventies metal like this.
Motorhead is rock and roll in its purest form. No one came close.
Amber is AWESOME!!!!😻 She totally gets Motorhead!!!!
Rest in peace Lemmy...
One of my favorites from them
This was recorded in December 1978. Think about the popular music then - disco, yacht rock, etc. And then think of THIS. Unfrickinbelievable!
There's Motorhead and then all the rest. Formed in '75, all those metal bands that came after can thank Lemmy and the boys for what they got. "it's everywhere." Insidious by design.
Let loose! Shake and dance off the day! HAHA!
Now you're rocking! Motorhead is my all-time favorite band. I have seen them in concert 7 times! No energy level can match one of their shows.
