Thank you for this video. It helps to know how to do things that should be simple for anyone to do. I appreciate the fact that you get right to the point on your video. Not turning away when something big is happening and not skipping the most important things. Not that there was anything but I am grateful.
Thanks mate. I try to do it as I would want to learn.
The jeep service in Dubai wants 700 to 900 dhs for the cover replacement and wants the car for 1 day.... i am speechless of the outraged amount.
Thank you for the video I will do it my self. fingers crossed it will go as smooth as you showed 😂
It is pretty easy. Let me know if you get stuck.
Trust me Jeep Dubai is the worst, i just did my self lol easy 😊
Same here 😁 will do it myself
Appreciate the guide through on this
No problem
Do you know If that Yellow dot next to the battery have any function? I tought that It was some kind of detection sticker.
I pulled it back to have a look and it is just a hole on mine, just like on the replacement case
@@TheEddysGarage I did the same procedure but the New key is not recognized. When i out back to the old case (with the yellow part) it works again.
@@theattorney6072 is there another chip in your original case? Can you use half of the new case on the old one?
@@TheEddysGarage There is this yellow circle, I don't know what inside it. But the half part of the old one is not compatible with the New case.
@@theattorney6072 might have to get an OEM case from Jeep. Looks like we don’t have the same chip here in ours for some reason
I changed out the case using your video (thank you very much!), but now the key doesn't work. So strange but the hole in your case looked exactly like the hole in the fob case I was changing. Hmmm. Anyway, the battery was a new battery, so I don't know where to go from here.
Is the battery in the right way?
@@TheEddysGarage Yes. The case was really difficult to get closed. That little padded sticker over the copper coils made it a little thick. Hope I didn't damage something. I tried to start the car, but got the key not recognized message. The battery is fairly new, but maybe I should try another battery just in case. I appreciate you getting back to me.
@@sandiv6145 having the same issue here. Did you find a solution ?
@@theattorney6072 Yes, and I feel so stupid. The battery was defective. Thought I was going to have to pay big bucks to get both keys reprogrammed when all it was, was a bad battery. An easy $5 fix! Hope this helps you.
@@sandiv6145 oh ok, I was thinking it was another problem as you Said the battery was New ...thx anyway.
Mine have a hold on it. it won't open the door anymore,
I’m not sure what you mean in the first sentence. I replaced my other key case and I had to have 2 tries to get the buttons to line up and work
