Adrian yeah I quite expected that, but still it sounds really well for this engine. In a car like this it's "okay" to be a bit artificial. BMW M on the other hand....... it's a quite shame.
Adryan ... I've never heard or read that Kia uses fake engine sound enhancement. BMW, Lexus and some the other luxury brands yeah.

This is a "conventional" automatic - and not a dual-clutch gearbox? The shifts looked AMAZINGLY quick and smooth, damnear exactly like a DCT.
Would love to hear your thoughts on real-world experience with it.

My personal experience with this 6 speed is very good. It is indeed pretty quick and very smooth and decisive too. I honestly think kia/hyundai makes some of the best gearboxes.

I have Kia Optima SXL with 274 HP engine and it makes same numbers with just the driver and 95 octane fuel. Here is 245 HP and passenger hard to believe its stock honestly. But if it is than that's really impressive. Maybe cuz of good quality EU fuel I guess.

I was told it's not the same as the 2.0 in the Stinger. It's apparently a detuned version of Hyundai's i30 N.
I owned a 2.0 Stinger for three years then got a MK8 GTI which I returned and got the Optima. The Stinger engine delivered the power more aggressively and returned better MPG

I have that exact car and you can go quicker by using the paddle shifts.
I went 120 mph in a 2014 hybrid and it was ridiculously smooth even at that speed and it still got 23mpg
0 acceleration but still held up while reaching those speeds

наши блогеры делают все то, это этот блогер измеряет разгон по спидометру на глаз ;) да еще и с пассажиром. да и паспортные 7.4, ну никак она не может поехать на 7 секунд быстрее. такое возможно только с чиптюнингом st1

Hmm... Just 200...why not maxed the speed?
The engine makes 180kw on 91 octane, if you tune it on 98 it'll easily see over 200kw at the engine. This engine has plenty more in it. Kia/Hyundai have come a long way to now be at the top of reliable/beautiful cars.
But the gearbox can't take so much power

Steven Ice noch langsamer sind die 100-200 kmh mit 20 Sekunden... ein GTI mit 230 PS brauch da nur knapp 14 Sekunden

Runn3r89 mit meinem saisonalen Sommersonntagsfahrzeug brauche ich ca. 6,3 sek von 0-100 und ebenfalls ca 26 sek. auf 200 und das bei 180 Ponys. Daher war ich jetzt vom Optima schon sehr geschockt, hat er doch 65 PS mehr (und klar wiegt 4 tonnen mehr und hat ein cw wert wie'n hochhaus und kann man nicht vergleichen da Panzer).
Stimmt mich nicht gerade positiv auf KIA ein wobei ich mir mit aller Voraussicht den Stinger GT 3.3 als Frühjahrssaisonkfz holen wollte...
find ich nicht. fürn kombi schon gut. klar schafft ein mercedes oder bmw mit gleicher leistung in glatte 6 sekunden, aber merkst du eh nicht im alltag. ;)

I own gt. I dont believe in 6.7. Closer to 8. Transmission is slow at the start. Tge sound is poor in real life. In the rest the car is perfect.

7.4 secs is factory setting. You need to unlock that to get the 6.7 secs
I got 7 seconds because acceleration started at 0:29 and reached 96.56(60mph) at 0:36

Alen Oru schneller? Was erwartest du bei dem Leergewicht? Die Beschleunigung ist mehr als in Ordnung. Ein Audi S3 mit 265 Ps, der nebenbei gesagt noch leichter ist und Quattroantrieb hat, schafft den Sprint auf 100 in 5,7 Sekunden. Hier haben wir einen 4-Türer mit Frontantrieb.
cornyschoko eher ein bescheidener Vergleich. Der s3 mit 265 ist gute 10 Jahre älter als der kia. In dieser Zeit hat sich doch einiges getan. Ich würde eher den seat leon st cupra vergleichen. Der macht die 0-100 0,8 Sekunden schneller hat aber auch 50ps mehr.
Dave der S3 (8P) mit 265 Ps wurde bis 2012 produziert. Mir geht es beim Vergleich nur um das Leistungsgewicht und die daraus resultierende Beschleunigung.
cornyschoko ich hab mit meinem auf 225 PS gechipten Golf7 GTD über eine Sekunde weniger auf 200 gebraucht als der Kia.
0-100 7 Sekunden 100-200 18 Sekunden.
Ja, der Kia könnte für 245 PS auf jeden Fall zügiger sein
cornyschoko das ist klar. Trotzdem ist die verbaute Technik bis auf kleine Veränderungen auch bei Autos aus 2012 im Vergleich zum Kia veraltet. Gerade bei turbomotoren hat sich schon einiges getan. Ich verstehe den Vergleich aber ich hätte da eher ein aktuelleres Fahrzeug verglichen

@@sti7774 si asi es ..no va a poder contra un impreza o un evo.. este es un modelo berlina lujoso que el fabricante le reemplazo el V6 de 300hp por este 4 cilindros turbo solo para un manejo sport.. no para hacerle frente a otros autos deportivos de baja gama.. aparte no hace compararle con un impreza, si se le pusiera un celica VVTL-I sencillo de 192hp seguro que este le gana al kia.. este KIA viene a ser como un mercedes C230 Kompressor para dar una idea.. solo para manejo Sport.. saludos.
