Thank you ... and looking for your "SHOW PAGE TUTORIALS" ... you videos and content are always substantive, produced professionally, and communicated so clearly ... thank you again ...
I love the macros workflow; it is perfect for speeding up the process of bus channels with multiple presets and plugins that are usually in my mixing sessions.
1:20 the problem of this thing, its all of the separately open in new instances of Kontakt. Let's say I want to keep midi channels with instruments in one instance. If I load these presets, each one will load with a separate instance of Kontakt. However, my processor and RAM are not able to stretch like projects in Studio One 🥲
It's not a problem actually. Single instances are more flexible and easier to use (no routing inside Kontakt, easy to add and remove instruments) and at the same time the DAW can balance the CPU load which works better than it Kontakt does it. But if you want to use Kontakt as a multitimbral instrument with MIDI channels and multi-outs, you can create these multis and still use Track Presets to save then. Track Presets store the tracks and the multi outs. Even bus routings if you want.
Have you tried it? Because under the VST protocol, each instance is a reference copy. Imagine it as always being one instance, but several different settings. Usually, having dozens of instances of an instrument does not scale linear. Give it a try in direct comparison with the multitimbral approach.
The improvement in responsiveness alone is worth the entire update! Thank you very much for covering this, Lukas! My latest orchestral template kept crashing and I had to build another one for Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 which I really tried to avoid using. After watching your video, I updated my S1 to 6.6 version and now my original template runs so much faster and smoother and so far without crashing or other issues. You briefly showed a project with 1000 tracks of virtual instruments. Very interesting, indeed. If you don't mind sharing, what are your computer specs? I run AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core Processor with 128 GB of memory and when I ran an orchestral template with over 200 virtual instrument tracks I would always experienced issues. Maybe you can share your knowledge of setting up and optimizing large templates with S1 in a separate video? I think many people would appreciate that. Thank you.
Was looking for this kind of macro commands for a while (Add like Group then bus then add a comp and an eq and a lim) that I really use all the time for a while now, thanks for sharing!
Hello, thank you very much for these useful tips included in the new update. I have a problem creating the bus buttons, after selecting everything, name, color and effects, when I give ok nothing simply happens, the button does not change its name and does not generate any action. Should something be done first for this to work? Thank you very much and greetings from Colombia
Glad you like it! The button may not change its name, that has to be done manually. But it should run the macro actually. Have you taken a look at my macro tutorial? Perhaps there's another step that you missed. ua-cam.com/video/IUPDvVelaHY/v-deo.html
Nice!! For the Jump to Section feature could I also add something like „jump at the end of the section“ and „loop section“? This would be so awesome for performing electronic music live.
Glad you like it. Yes, jump at the end of the section is possible also on Song Page. You can see at 7:50 that I set Sync Mode to "End". This means end of the section. You can set it to 1 bar, 2 bars, 4 bars, end or off. Off means jump immediately. You can also see this in my Show Page tutorials, for example the song sections video on s1toolbox.com/tutorials?topic=Show+Page
..."Loop Section" is more complex... here you need a workaround. For example you could try to select an event (could also be an arranger section) and trigger "Loop Selection". And then "Toggle Loop" to turn the loop on or off. But this isn't ideal with performing live. I'm working on a script for live performance on the Song Page which will have a better solution for this.
How is it possible that some things are not mentioned in the release notes? And, of course, Presonus does not take care of some easy to change options that are very annoying such as some features with export mixes and stems or adding a keyboard shortcut to a macro when creating it.
It's mentioned in the release notes, but not in every detail. Sometimes things are summarized or it's not clear to everyone what a certain change means and how much you can do with certain features or improvements. That's why I show this in my videos...
Hi Lukas, could not get the Apply Track Names to work, then remembered I had set a S1 Preference to "Not Show Event Names". lol. Thanks for the Nav Essentials.
Hi, You are very knowledgeable and I was hoping you could help me. I have a MIDI drum track that I exploded and then turned into audio not only to take the load off my computer, but also to effect the separate drums to my liking. When I did that all the hi hat control data did not translate. For instance, the open and closed sounds were all open. I know there is a way to do it because I have done it before but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much!
Thanks. Nice to focus on the improvements in 6.6 available to both the subscription and the perpetual license, rather than the much less important matter of a new VST that is only available in the subscription, as others are angry about.
Alright those are finally some really appreciated features. I'm surprised none of the Presonus videos mentioned them. How did you find out about these features?
Some of the features were my ideas or I planned them together with the Studio One development team. I've known the team in Hamburg for a very long time and they ask me for my ideas for new features from time to time, so sometimes we come up with little things that end up in a release without marketing knowing about it.
Many secret features are in fact mentioned in the release notes - as they should. It's disappointing that not all new features are enumerated in the latest release notes, I hope it's a mistake that'll be corrected.

Agreed. And you can even combine it with loading Track Presets via macros.
Excellent, thank you!
Are their macros for sound variation musical symbols yet?

Can we have a loop track beat making for songwriting like Bitwig in S1?
Great video highlighting some of the new benefits released with 6.6!
Thanks, Michael... brilliant as always, no exaggeration. Keep it up.
Gr8 gr8 gr8…… indeed a better video.. you have shared lot of new info which no one is talking about in 6.6
Your video's are top notch, thank you very much for all the effort Lukas, outstanding learning material for S1 users !!

Thank you very much 🙂👍
awesome, thanks
Great video, folder and bus macro is increeeeedibly useful!
Nice tutorial again! 👍
Nice work. What specs have you system, ram, etc.. to run the large film scoring template?
Thank you bro!
Thaks A LOT. we need more and more tuts on the show Page. Algo, any tips on live looping with s1?
Very useful, thanks!
I admire people, who can keep track of a thousand tracks in their mind. That is "Multitasking" on a high level. Luckily there are motorized faders.
Thanks Lukas for highlighting features that other content creators have ignored!
Track presets is just fire! Thanks !

Great vid Lukas - Im going to sound like a div here, but how did you get your CSS libraries etc to show up under instruments?
Thank you. I created Track Presets for the Kontakt libraries. Take a look at my Track Presets video:

Hi, How ram and specs is you system to run that big template? I am working on that... Thanks

Hello Fellow Lukas, I gave you a sub!
Hey Lucas! Great - thank you :)
Ist das auch so eine versteckte Neuerung, dass man im Arranger jetzt keinen Eintrag mehr löschen kann, ohne dass der Bereich gelöscht wird?
Sir how to install VST plugin in studio one 6.6 please 😢😢😢
Plsssssssssssss make show page videoooooooo in detail…. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Do you have to have a subscription to use these improvements?
Yo why won’t they do continuous scroll during playback?
super!

@@studioonetutorials Well, isn't project backlog a list of feature requests by the product manager & dev team, after all ? ;) :D

...because they're all talking about the licensing scheme and jumping ship.
The scheme got me lol 😅 and loving it
Still NO MIDI CC capability in Show Page.....Just Programs and Banks.....COME ON PRESONUS!!!!
