It’s been my experience and yours as well that the farther you go with any project the farther you have to go. Pockets are never deep enough.

Vortecs are a great head with screw in studs.
That's going to be one sweet pickup fellas. I prefer the GMC's w/ their rear leaf springs & that yours is a long box, after all if it isn't an 8' bed it's nothing more than a glorified car. I have a 70 c10 with 3 on the tree. Wasn’t sure you could do PS with that. What power steering box did he get and what rag joint did he use and pitman arm?

I pulled a used steering box from the same set of years from the truck farm. The rag joint and pitman arm are just stock units for power steering truck.
What kind of cam you put in on her? I got a 510 left. You can put it on her.
I think I'll just about make her run. You gotta get about maybe 4 miles a gallon with that maybe 10 feet to the mile.

Well did you at least put the v 8 in the right location
Almost. He left it in the I6 motor mount location to help fit the manual 3 on the tree from hitting headers, etc.
If he feels generous, he can buy me one, but I want a forged crank 4 3 27 small journal.
