I always screw some homemade studs into the seat bolt holes when laying new carpet. Super easy way to locate them when you have the carpet where you want it. Mark it with silver or white marker and then punch or slit the holes.

It does. Well, I should say, it should. We haven't fired it since we hooked it up. Garrett also switched to a voltmeter gauge instead of an amp meter as well. The American Auto Wire harness has been pretty slick!
Chad , Have you ever put the gas tank to body Ruber seal in with the tank in place??? I would like to change mine but if i don't have to remove the seat and the tank that would be a Bonis
I haven’t tried that before. I guess there is only one way to find out!! Sorry I couldn’t help on this one!
I have installed it this way before. I still haven't installed it in this GMC, but the tank is in place. I just use a careful screwdriver to pop it in with some dawn dish soap for lubricant.
I guess I should have read your question a little better! I was thinking you were talking about the isolator or rubber under the tank. Yes, you can slip the rubber seal over the filler nozzle like Garrett said. Warm it up for a bit in the sun or with a heat gun, lube it with non petroleum and slip it on. Just make sure you get the correct one for your year.
how much kilmat did you order?
Garret said it was an 80 sq ft kit. He had a decent amount left over.
Do you all have a link to that 503 Oreillys rattle can? I need the same color to do some touch ups
If you go into any O’Reillys that mixes paint, they can make it. Just tell them you want a rattle can of GM 503 and they will mix it. They us U-pol brand here.
