Thank you for this summary - don't forget thumbs to ceiling and push down as a separate test for median nerve!
Thank you for helping me study for my OSCE😊
it would be extremely helpful if you did another version of this amazing video on a patient with a hand abnormality/finding!!
Great job
These videos are great!!
Fantastic channel
omy goood thank youuuuuu
Hi there! Thanks so much for the video - just one thing; the anatomical snuffbox is more proximal and lateral than the area you are palpating in this video - between the tendons of the extensor pollicis brevis and extensor pollicis longus, which can be better visualised with full finger extension + abduction :)
Thanks for the feedback Leliani, we appreciate it :)
Leilani D I’m gonna pretend like I know what your saying

Hi great video, but did you forget to inspect the nail for changes though?
Yes looking for nail changes is important, that wasn’t labelled in the video but in reality you do this throughout the assessment. In particular nail signs of psoriasis could be highly relevant in the context of an inflammatory arthritis.
It says inspect for skin and nail changes right at the beginning during inspection of the hands.
Thank you
He didn't putapitofpaper on it come on man
pdog109 Was looking for this comment, thanks
he also didn't blink once
Thanks!
Thanks so much 🙂 👾
hi thErE I'm andrew and im a final year medical student
Is Thumb abduction against resistance for radail nerve or median nerve?
Radial nerve
Is the coin acceptable from an infection control perspective? Ps thanks for the video.
I read the comments before getting to 4:41 so I thought it said “Observe the patient pocketing a small object.”
Thannnnnk youuuuuuuu
whats the significance of function / pincer grips ? which dermatome affected? ? ?
OK sign = median nerve
The examiner was checking dexterity of the fingers and thumb needed for ADLs such as buttoning shirts and picking up small objects like coins, ballpens, or pins.
It would be nice if all osce cases were normal lol we always get the most complicated cases on osce
Iraqi medical schools are always the hardest, my dad tells me
@@caffeinefix2751 haha so does mine

And we so tired
Does someone else has difficulty when palpating DIP joints? :'c
Hand and fingers examination to determine if they are in proper function .👍
I hope i won't say her examination findings are negative at my osce today 😢
