My glamping site has been running for almost 3 months now and it has been hectic. Bookings have been great even with some plumbing issues and more typical short term rental issues. I was profitable though in my first month and look to continue even more the next coming months for my glamping business. Let me know in the comments what you would like for me to cover next!

Can we get a review of how the A/C is working out in the dome ?
Yes wondering how the ac is doing? We are thinking of spray insulation for one in Oklahoma. Any thoughts on this?
We used insulation from the dome manufacturer. Working great with 1 ton mini split
AC is working great. The dome is very spotty though bc of the roof height so I even added another small portable AC on the other side and it’s helped a lot. I also put canopies over the dome. I’ve been contemplating the insulation but haven’t brought myself to it yet
@@AdventurousMagic did you use the dome without the liner before? I’m trying to decide if the liner is worth the price justification

Great recap, when you use direct booking how are you insured? I can't seem to find insurance.
I have Proper Insurance that is a liability policy and they cover the dome insurance. The only company I could find for it and they are pricey. I definitely wish there was more options or something else I could figure out.
I'm in east texas and have just 2 rent houses but never did abnb. I wanted to do a geo home as well. But was scared of the heat. This 2023 was way overly hot. Great info on marketing and the real cost. Google said $100sq ft. I was shocked. I guess there right actually.
The heat is definitely harder to manage in a geo dome. It was brutal and we had to add another stand up AC unit but made it through. I would say 100/sq ft without utilities and infrastructure is pretty close.

With the multiple listing sites you have your dome on, how do you avoid overbookings?
I use Lodgify as my property management software and it works it all through their central calendar. We have it listed on I think 7 sites with no double booking yet except one of my own fault with an influencer lol thanks for watching!

I use a car wash soft brush, water, and dawn soap! Windex hose spray for window
