This is special video for me as I worked for the mall before the grand opening and about six months after that. I worked the grand opening black tie party that was pretty cool. There was so much liquor afterwards. When the party was over, my boss was sending the liquor bottles up the escalator (when the food court was upstairs); a couple bottles might have disappeared 😂

Yes and actually there was a Montgomery Wards. now Dillards. I actually worked for Montgomery Wards before they opened stocking shelves. I quit to work directly for the mall.
@@njaneardude cool I understand that they added a Lord and Taylor a few years later but then the Lord and Taylor shut down because of lack of business I've been trying to figure out and pinpoint where the Lord and Taylor was now or what resides in it but I can't exactly pinpoint it it seems they either compressed it in smaller boxes or walled it off completely then again the Lord and Taylor probably shut down right on time I was in kindergarten so it's really just a guessing game for me.
@@satyendrandonibanerjee8682 Your comment made me curious lol, so I found an old map of the mall with Lord and Taylor and compared to the mall's current map. It seems like the majority of the store was taken down when they renovated the mall years back. I think LL Bean, Maggie Mcfly's, and Coastal Edge are now located in that spot, and the rest is just outdoor space.
@@turtlesails that's what I figured because the new mall entrance right by where the LL Bean is wasn't always there so I guess they just demolished the Lord and Taylor. Kind of seems like a waste of resources considering that the Lord and Taylor itself was actually an add-on to the mall back in the 90s. Those developers probably weren't happy about that LOL.

This mall revamp in recent years. It is so nice and it's still filled with businesses and gets busy

The leggit was a Dillards then they tore it down for the amc. Jc penny was always there. Thaliamers was where the current dillards is at.
