Some of these comments are sick and shows the lack of compassion for the lost of human life. @@weary1 Oh, I'm so sorry professor! I didn't realize this was my English essay, hopefully you don't bump my grade down too much for this minuscule mistake.
Why don’t they pull up camera footage from the boardwalk or Atlantic Avenue from the car license plate and find out who the car belongs to and maybe we can find out who was in the car it’s could been whole family in there with kids sad 🙏🏾
I'm going to hope that it was a medical episode and not intentionally. I had a medical episode once while driving and the only thing I remember is hitting the curb on the passenger side multiple times and trying to get to a business where my S/O worked. The police had gotten several calls from other drivers and were glad that I was not intoxicated or high on anything. To this day, we don't know what caused that episode almost 5 years later. I was in and out of consciousness for almost 24 hours. CT scan and MRI both showed nothing, nor did any blood tests.
Sounds like either a suicide, or murder suicide, considering the amount of braking. Or maybe an elderly person with dementia . I wish someone jumped in to save them, but it's a long drop from a pier into freezing water, plus strong currents from our winter storms. It was likely impossible tho.
I understand the currents but this is to urgent to not have done something the second the car hit the water there is a human in there and it like nobody is in the "urgent" mindset
Would you rather have 1 death or 4 or 5 on this situation? That's what officials are trying to prevent right now. The car is believed to have drifted out a bit, but not very far.
@carriebaker5161 the point is vehicles do not sink as fast as ppl think granted yes it is dangerous but if they would have jumped on it from the start, instead of just standing there it could have been fixed
I hope this isn't an elderly person with dementia...sad for whomever left like this but if it was an accident or cognitive issues it will be even worst
This whole episode is sad. The bodies should have been recovered by now. The water is 15ft. deep. Why hasn't the car's license been identified using cameras? That would be a good place to start. At this rate, the bodies will be eaten by sharks before they ever recover anything...
Apparently you know very little about diving, never mind rescue/ salvage diving. No sense having to add body's to the count. No one said that there IS a body, for certain, in the car, it's sounded presumed that there is a body in the car.
Very sad 😢 , broke my heart. Watching a lost soul lose his life people. Everyone needs Jesus and don't you think it's time for everyone to think about. Loving on Jesus and turning your life around. Y'all can see that Satan doesn't care about you. Yeah, he'll give you everything. Show you everything. You'll have fun and laughs, but that's not the true way. You're much happier when you put the right person and the right people in your lives. May God bless this guy. Prayers over his family and his loved ones as they deal with the sorrow of the loss of him or her. 🙏💔
It's not 300 feet deep at that location. At the most it's 20-50 feet depending on how far it drifted. I'm sure that the barge has something attached to the car to keep it from drifting anymore with the current and tides. I'm part of a search and Recovery team and we are all saying to leave this to local officials and the military.
How is it selfish? It’s their life. They are not living for you. You do not know their story. How they decide to live or end their life is no one’s business but theirs.
My dear Dr is supportive of my carnivore diet. To prevent going on insulin I started out on carnivore Nov 27, 2023, when blood glucose was in the high 18's. As we have no fridge, I had to act decisively and cut on everything except red meat, some chicken, and occasionally also fish. No alcohol as I am on anticoagulants, then also no teas, coffees, neither juices nor sodas. Just good old tap water, which is of very high quality where I live. Sugar now averages 5.5, twice 4.2, once 3.6 - the latter a bit of a crisis. After two months, intent upon staying on the healthy, tasty side of food: carnivore. I only eat when hungry or when blood glucose drops too fast. No browsing nor snacking. It's not easy if you come from austerity in the first place.
I understand how this ties in with driving a car off the pier. The person that did and you are both out of your minds. So don't drive. No pier pressure.
You should probably close that trap on your face, the water is too rough to bring the equipment or the diving team in. What’s the point in someone else losing a life, none the less that persons dead, your fishing can wait another day. That’s someone’s family.
i just hope that there were no babies or children in that car🙏🏾
I told my husband the same thing.🙏🏼
I find it hard to believe that they don’t have more information. At the very minimum a license plate can be ran to see who the car belongs to.
OMG so someone did that deliberately? And they drowned in the freezing water, that is so sad.
Yes it's very sad. Because they probably tried to reach out for help. And in the worst case scenario nobody probably listened to them.
Why waste a perfectly good care?
There is so much callousness and cruelty these days. Us good folk, have to ignore the badgers and keep on putting kindness in the world.
