This is one of the most famous scenes in the history of Polish cinema, and this analysis discusses the cohesiveness of the different elements used in the film, especially in relation to the art of cinematography and the actual content of the scene. The film takes place around 1946 - Poland received aid from UNRRA and he was able to obtain such a jacket. However, it is not only a costume but also the personal style in which Cybulski wore himself, which made the hero more modern. In the film, Cybulski also wore jeans - trousers unavailable in Poland in the post-war years.
