I love Polish Cinema! Love from Estonia!
Thank you Mr. Scorsese for bringing these movies to my attention, I'm now ashamed to admit I haven't seen one of these movies except A Film About Killing by Kieslowski, and the only other Polish filmmaker I'm familiar with is Roman Polanski and none of that is from Poland, but US and UK (Rosemary's Baby, Chinatown, Repulsion), and even without your endorsement, just seeing the imagery and cinematography of these movies from the short clips provided I can tell that every thing here is quality.
Polish cinema is incredible. So original and meaningful.
It was. Now it's just vulgar and tasteless
@@isildb1927just like American contemporary cinema
Interestingly enough, much of the polish cinema, particularly Ashes and Dismonds, is very much influenced by the American cinema of that time. The director even said much later that he owed everything to Ford and Wells... Polish cinema from this era is truly among the best of the best. @@Stoigniew666
