- “What you’re seeing is that growing sense of doom mongering.”
There’s a feeling in the Conservative Party that there is “no escape” from a poor general election result as Liz Truss leads the calls for a new party leader, says Aubrey Allegretti.

The thought of Tories stricken and in despair makes me feel aglow within.
🤗 Me too!
@@JRattheranchwell done ❤❤❤.
❤❤❤ brilliant, give them what they have give to you for a decade, nothing. ❤❤❤
They are a embarrassment to Britain
But it took some getting there!....
Don't they realise how much Patel is disliked up and down the country? She does not have the ingrained English values of caring, helping and supporting, and it shows in her cruelty.
How dare you?
Like so many in the current government, she cares deeply about advancing her own career; she is happy to help her friends (and herself) and will support anything and anyone who will get her what she wants.
he was never voted in, but will be voted out.
Here's the best joke you'll hear this year: The Tories!
Strong on the economy: nope!
The party of Law and Order: nope!
Sensible policies on immigration: ha ha ha! Nope!
What do these halfwits actually stand for? It ain't Britain, that's for sure.
They stand for the self consumed, self centred, self serving, self entitled, complete, utter and total suite of a sad set of witless wonder swivels that voted for them.
Who else?
they don’t work for the British people, we only get to overpay them.r
Selfrighteousness? 😇....
Stealing our money and future generations' futures.
They gave up on Conservatism a long time ago so it isn't that
Popular Conservatives : if ever there was an organisation that didn't live up to its name
Compasionate Nazis?
I think Liberal Democrats are worse as they are the least Democratic Party. Look what Nick Clegg did when the British electorate voted for a minority Tory Government, they went against election promises and went into coalition and voted to increase student fees.
That is the greatest oxymoron I have heard.
They changed their name from the National Conservatives, Nat C was a bit too close to the mark.
Some members too, e.g. Cleverly, Pretty Patel. Though Bad Enoch does.
Tories can do one thing for this country… give us our General Election and the then jog off into the sunset for ever… the nasty party needs to end.
Yep greed has killed this country which the tories have created. Great Britain eh more like selling everything off and giving it away to there mates.
Imagine anyone voting for Rishi in the 1st place to be PM.
Well no-one did
He was voted in as an MP before he became PM, so someone voted for him.
Imagine anyone voting for Boris Johnson but they did.
@josephobi.837 they probably voted for a conservative no name MP they'd never heard of.
Give Sunak the credit he deserves! He’s better than Boris Johnson and Liz Truss!
look at the NHS destroyed Enough GE
You do know Labour plans to continue the privatisation of more and more parts of the NHS...?
@@thetragicyouth er nope. They have said they will be reducing it, but will use existing private care providers to clear the queue.
We are being crushed by Immigration Austerity.
Wages suppressed and public services overwhelmed.
ZERO SEATS !!!
Immigration per se isn't a problem. They contribute more per head than British people and being younger and fitter, use services less. Indeed they are needed to provide services.
You need to show your working when you say that we are being 'crushed' by Immigration
@@robinj6137Misleading. The averages on net contribution to GDP and public services of migrants is distorted by a rung of very highly paid people and European/East Asian students/grads. The recent study from UvA on inward migration in NL is very instructive - you're importing vast quantities of cheap social and healthcare labour for the short-term that costs you more in the long-term, all whilst failing to build the homes, water and energy infrastructure to support them.
Add authoritarianism to your list.
Dont forget the billions stolen by the crookes in westminster and the lords just look at the latest bunch of multi millionaires and failed MPs who have been given pierage status
@@glassmuxxicbut your report says it right there, it’s not immigrants that are the problem, just failures by Government to use the extra tax revenue to invest in infrastructure to support them.
Wasn't it Priti Patel who BOASTED about having deprived us of our freedom of movement? Or is my memory faulty? When it comes to undesirable politicians, she's definitely up there with Braverman, Truss and co.
Jackpot ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂
Few Tories can still hold their heads up, most should just stay in the gutter.
If they end up swapping Sunak for Patel, that will be the final thrashings of a dying fish.
They shoot themselves in the foot and wonder why they have to hop….
But on the positive side they have now stopped blaming the last labour government. 😂😂...@@mattyward1979
i’m tired of all this. Stop the talk about their careers - the more this goes on the worse the polls will get. Call the GE and just GO! do the country a favour and GO!
100% agree, the present Government has no mandate from the people.
They didn't act remotely in a conservative manner so why should anyone vote for them?
We shall have a Rishi .On a little Dishi when the vote comes in.
Why aye pet
And we all stand helplessly watching while Titchy Tetchy Sunak digs in for the long haul enraging more and more people and guaranteeing that the defeat when he's finally forced into it will make 1997 look like a tory victory
Brilliant ❤❤❤❤❤
If they replace Sunak before the General Election that would mean another unelected PM being paid for life by us, the taxpayers for what could be a few weeks in the position. This is disgusting.
Like every prime minister in history.
Parliament selects the PM.
“Because we strongly believe there’ll be a Conservative government “.
The lack of understanding here - how could any responsible voter put someone like this in as MP. There is not going to be a Tory government. If you don’t understand this I don’t want you as my MP. I don’t live in his constituency but the point remains.
If this man does not understand this very obvious fact, he is too inept to responsibly represent anyone.
Mark Garnier deserves to be in a cartoon, with an arrow pointing at him: “The man who thinks the Conservatives can win the election.”
Liz Truss as chancellor when was this idea first muted APRIL 1st ha ha ha
I’m 31. There isn’t a single damned policy this party has offered for my generation. I’ve voted nearly half of my life and, my god, absolutely nothing. If you want to grow you don’t just need to start offering stuff to non retired folks, you actually need to atone for this lost decade.
Just invest as much money as you can into the stock market. No government is going to help people in a significant tangible way. It's just a game to get votes to get in power and the cycle repeats. Any substantial change needs significant government spending and increased taxes to pay for it. Most people won't vote for that, so no party ever proposes it and will never propose it within our current political system.
Pretty Patel at the middle of the party?!! Only if you’re a fascist.
Patel a centrist 😂
Yep, the modern conservative party.
First time since 2015 that the Tories have had plans for what to do after an election.
😅😅😅
Bring it on, Pretty Nasty Patel with keep the tories out of power for decades,
They should make way for the grown-ups
Most of the Tories will lose, all the noise you get now will just disappear
When a political party pursues a policy that many of the party's voters disagree with, that party obviously has a big problem in an upcoming election. Pure logic. 😉
What a joker this garnier bloke 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ms Patel would be a disaster. But I can't think of any Tory MP who wouldn't be... 'My' (ha ha - as though any MP represents a constituent) Tory MP lied to me and tried to trick me into giving him info about my voting intentions in a questionnaire about 'Local Transport'. Shocking when it happened; but a daily occurrence now.
Dillusional
Time for the Tories too go

I'm amazed they lasted as long as they did. I thought Boris would have been an end. But no, more anguish and pain
@@carlthor91
Rishi has lost all 4 engines but is somehow keeping the plane on a downward glide path. Unfortunately…
Brace brace brace
@@charlesbruggmann7909 Lettuce Liz crashed it, Rishi, is staggering around in the wreckage.
From Brexit to Lix, Death Spiral, to the scene of the crash, for another aviation term.
Sunak could not politic himself out of a paper bag.
At least now they know how the rest of the country feels
What Planet is this Guy from.
Planet Tory Loyalist. Admirable, but futile optimism.
Do 'popular Conservatives ' actually think they are popular?
To GB news viewers they are, the rest of the country don’t matter, that’s why they are not popular
Can't wait to see the back of the Tories. How anyone can vote for them after the damage they've caused! 🤬
I skipped listening to the interview. The title of the video was enough to brighten my day.
Priti Patel is more unpopular than Sunak
What exactly are the Tories expecting will happen on May 2nd??!
We've got 8 more months of this.. 😬
Surely it will become tories who get elected that will chose the opposition leader and not include those MPs who lose their seats
Sounds pretty reasonable really. Let everyone down. Feel bad about it.
If you're a child, you get another go. In an adult world, that's your lot. You have to go and try your hand at something else.
'Zero seats' say it with me! :)
What I find hard to believe is that the current PM is allowed to attack minority groups with no consequences what so ever.
It is truly sad, as if the minorities don't suffer enough from society's inequalities. They attack from a position of privilege, shame on them.
If Rishi could go up one rung on the ladder.....trouble is the ladder is 30 ft down a well
Rishi will be the one who sees his party have the biggest defeat in his party’s history
he lost ne at...Priti Patel...the '...'brains'' behind the Rwanda policy ffs
There is nothing free with this government!
🤣When Priti Patel is the "soft " part of the Tory party. God help us
Mmmm.
I think we can cast this conversation up as, delusional!
Absolute nonsense.
Priti Patel as leader ? Dear me, if that's the best they can come up with, it's a very poor show.
The Tories winning the general election!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
30p Lee was correct when he said the tories would not fight the GE on policies but gutter politics.
They have not governed in months but _we_ have to wait for _them_ to decide when to hold a GE?!
It’s no brainier for an ordinary person like me to think of losing our prime minister Sunak who is doing excellent job. The economy is moving in the right direction.
Before Sunak become PM the economy was in a bad situation and it has ruined the pensions of several who were just about to retire. We cannot forgive those kind of mistakes.
I request conservatives to focus on improving their image for next election rather than fighting for power.
Good.
Are all tories on another rose red planet of la la land
They want him to lead them into the forthcoming defeat , so that are all “hands-clean” afterwards .
Still Rishi Sunak will repeat soon that all is going smoothly according to the plan. Or at least a plan. But he will not explain what it is.
The people shall have revenge
Changing out Rishi Sunak won’t help them. The Tories have fundamentally change their party instead.
The Tories need to see who’s left post GE before looking who to get behind.
👋 👋 Tories..
Blimey, how politics has changed. The Times sounding almost anti-Tory and one of their MPs sounding close to despair..."IF we will the General Election"!!
This is becoming a self-fulfilling prophesy.
Murdoch knows when a government is dead. He doesn't want his newspapers to back an obvious loser.
I wonder why that is ?
15 year of Tories is too long because of the damage they've caused to this unrepairable not it's too late wasted a 80 seat majority and failed at every corner they've turned
Even the Tory client media have given up. I'm having a lovely time!
Priti Patel??? Tslk about Yines Radio grasping at straws. The UK has enough of indian prime ministers.
Bunker mentality!
Interesting
They need to promise to stop the boats. That will get the voters on board, they love that sort of thing.
Too late
Did you miss it when they made that one of their 5 'promises'?
@@cricketerfrench7501 I think Rishi made a speech a few months ago stood at a lectern, which had the slogan "stop the boats" on it . If the Tories can carry on in that vein, then they have a chance of another 5 years in power.
@@Andygb78 🤣🤣🤣
It’s not happening!
It's like being a crow sat in a tree looking down on a piece of roadkill. Lovely.
The words brains and Rwanda plan should not be used in the same sentence. It's idiotic performative politics for the far right that will have no impact on immigration, is incredibly expensive and won't impact the number of small boats coming. It will also negatively impact the rights of all up citizens, which is the real point of it after all.
Tory rag 🤢
Sunak the clown 🤡.and the Tory's have brought this country to it's knees.
There will have to be a leadership election when Sunak loses his seat.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the Tories had yet another leadership election before the General Election and for that new leader/PM to lose their seat in that election. Along with all their chosen cabinet members. The Tories can shuffle the chairs all they like but he people of this country have had enough of their lies and corruption.
Priti Patel - “the brains behind the Rwanda plan”?! Give me a break…
3:44 He's like the Iraqi general saying there are no American tanks, as one goes by in the background.
General election asap!
4:49 Such delouision is unbelievable! And there we see a man convinced that they have any hope of being relevant! 😅😅
Does this man look like anybody that you can trust? Does this man look like anybody that should be in charge of your future?
Does this man look like he should be making decisions for other people?
Listening to mark littlewood is never a good idea
Bring Boris back! Kidding....😅
"If we win Rishi will be the guy who leads us into the election after that" yeah apart from the fact you've already changed the leader twice since the last GE.
Great keep falling
It will be after the local elections like last time.

Whoever has been controlling Rishi Sunak, that Scott guy, couldn’t have got it all more wrong
Ask me if you you are making wrong choices
Entropy
Rishi to advisers 'be honest team, am I really an over confident, useless political loser who will go down in history as just another dork? please team, be honest, I can take it' advisers (fingers crossed behind back) 'no Titchy, you da man, da Daddio, da bomb' - Rishi 'phew , thanks guys, that's what I thought and you've confirmed it'
No matter what the tossers do, the Tories are finished.
They are just Labour with a different name!
Watching from New Zealand here.
Well no, actually crying.
I am lost for words at how far Britain has fallen. The alternative, a Labour lead government would surely hasten the UKs demise.
Given the level of Tory incompetence and lack of interest in actually trying to provide good government (leaving aside corruption), I really don’t see how Labour (please learn how to spell) cannot fail to be some sort of improvement.
@@charlesbruggmann7909 My apologies about the spelling, we folks down under have only just learnt the alphabet, plus that thing called ‘spelling check’ sometimes gets the Kings English upside down. Best wishes to you folks over there and good luck.
Why would that be? Since WW2 the economic data is clear, the country performs better under labour.
Suella would be the best one of the tories to lead the party
I would like to vote Conservative but I can't see any one to vote for! Its no vote or Reform, which might be a Labour win if others feel the same as me.
I am not on your side of politics, but the lack of real choice worries me. Democracy requires choices and decent law-abiding MP's who are prepared to stand up for what they believe is right. I can't see that happening for a while, if ever.
Reform...another party promising undeliverable promises.
They won't reduce immigration, they won't stop the boats.
Though, they will remove workers rights, thus enabling them, a bunch of out of touch millionaires, to make more money off the sweat of the working man.
