Huy, this means to much to our family. Thank you and Minwax for the amazing way this turned out. It is our main dining table, and we are using it every day!
Thank you! I know, I really need to do more videos. Ironically, I record almost everything I do in the shop. If only I felt as passionate about video editing as I did about furniture making. Maybe then I could do this full-time.
Welcome Back HUY!!! excellent video. I don't often refinish furniture but when I do I enjoy it. I find it interesting when you can find some makers marks or pencil notes on a piece. keep up the great work
Hello Huy, I have been watching for new content from you. Your video on refinishing was done very well. The key is the sealer, people do skip that step and it causes problems. Looking for new content soon. Jerry williams (old woodworker)
I know, I know. I need to post more videos. I wish I was more motivated to edit video. As for wood bleach, check out this article from Popular Woodworking Magazine. www.popularwoodworking.com/article/oxalic-acid-a-very-useful-bleach/
Cool product I didn't know about, thanks! Might actually come in handy. If you haven't, check out Thomas Johnson Antique Furniture Restoration. I've learned a lot from watching him. When restoring real antiques, especially partial replacement pieces, he will often get close with the stain, put on a finish, and then use tints and additional tinted top coats to match. That's a technique I've seen used in art restoration, but never thought about using on wood until I saw him do it.

Well done Huy - very informative. I like to watch videos like this, I learnt a lot just in a fraction of the time.
Hu, Great to see a new video. Great tips on matching the finish, I didn't know this was available. Doug Bloombg
It's a great resource and worth giving a try at your local SW store.
...aaaaaaand he's back.
Nice job! Looks like new again!
Great work on that table! Thanks for sharing. Shalom
🙏
That turned out great

Beautiful work! The care and attention to detail, including the use of the Oxalic Acid to even out the natural color shows off in the final result.
Excellent video!
Thank you!

Welcome back Huy. refinishing furniture can be tricky. What kind of wood was table made from? We are looking forward to your next video.👀
Great to see a new video. Also excited to learn more about the custom match stain.
Thank you for watching!
Great video. Gorgeous job on the refinish. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Hi Huy! Great video and love your podcast, by the way. Random question for you - what brand of card scraper were you using in this video?
I was using a card scraper made by Bearkat.
@@AlabamaWoodworker thanks for the info and the reply!
