Excellent job on this video!! At first I was reluctant on changing my own clutch. But after watching your video, I’m definitely doing it myself. Thank you and ride safe! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks for the great video. I’m going to replace the clutch, compensator , and chain tensioner at the same time. Going to find some videos on changing out the compensator and chain .
Got a black & chrome 15 King with mods, absolutely love my bike! Just found your channel, Im in brother. Gonna adjust that clutch next oil change hell yeah! Ride on....
I really like the video well explained. What would be the recommended torque for the clutch plate? Would it hold like 120 lb of torque if you have a cam?
Great video! Awesome , have question, did any of the metal plates have a concave shape or were they all flat? And I’ve seen other videos that shows the clutch plates are different circumference sizes, small, little bigger and even bigger,, was all your plates the exact size? Because other videos showed not to mix the plates because of the difference sizes. Not sure if I’m explaining it right where you understand what I’m talking about.? Anyway, thanks for sharing? What was the cost of entire job, roughly?
I believe they are all flat and pretty much the same size. I did remove two small metal rings that were concave which were all the way inside closest to the engine. I had to remove them to fit the extra clutch plate. Overall this kit is awesome.
@DieselLegiance you will not like the break out. Rides to rough. I personally never like softail suspension. You'll want your road king back. Great video of the clutch job.
@@DieselLegiance I'm having Clutch issues sine Harley Davidson Replaced an upgrade. kit # DS-223472 Extra Plate Clutch. Feels Like it grabs differently at times, not consistent. Jerking Motion. I have owned this HD Fatboy for 22 yrs. now. It's a yr.2000 . Plus now the Clutch Grab is too far away from the hand grip. I brought it back two times and they say it's normal. It's not, I had a better original clutch with the old one. just wanted to change it because it has 50,000 miles on it. I want to open it myself to see if something is wrong or not assembled correctly. You make it look easy ! any advice ? Maybe Because I left my Phone 3 in the other mess.
It’s hard to say but did you adjust the clutch cable adjustment nut yet on the front cable? Maybe start there with a few turns. Then, you may want to try adjusting the clutch nut inside the crank case with a wrench and an allen wrench as I show in the video. This may help the clutch grabbing point to get it back to your liking. Keep in mind, a clutch kit with extra plate will have more “bite” and will feel more aggressive when shifting.
@@DieselLegiance I had them Replace New Clutch cable , and had them re adjust Clutch at Cold temperature. I left the bike over night just for that purpose , and still the same. I believe something is not assembled correctly. They did not want to reopen it up because a HD ten installed it. But what if he did it incorrectly.... I don't know what to do. Help here in El Paso is terrible.
Great video! Thanks for not babbling on and on . Talking and working on the project was great.. Great camera work .

Excellent video, thank you
Great video!
Lol glad you mentioned your GoPro facing down..
Use a magnet to pull out the springs in the back , no screwdriver
Great video bro
Barnett say not to use Harley Formula + with their clutches, I'm not sure why they say that but they do. Good vid

I think 70-100 in/lbs of torque but I’d go 85-90 max. However, this may vary from one engine to the next so make sure to consult your owners manual.
Your bat fairing , did you get it already color matched or did you have to get it sprayed your self?
On the blue road king? The fairing was painted to match. It came flat black.

How does this procedure change with a hydraulic clutch i have in my 2016 SGS?
Now you need to get the Dark horse compensator
Sold my road king but thinking of a breakout next

@patrickbendon7031 I’ve considered another road king for sure. I liked it more than my street glide.
Thx
Hydraulic cluth should not feel stiffer
Can we get the bolt sizes please

@@DieselLegiance I think Because I put my Phone #. in that Message. Maybe they did not soak the Clutch Plates . . .

Step One: Buy anything other than a Barnett clutch
Ha ha why’s that? I have had zero issues.
I thought in 2015 it was a hydraulic clutch system, not cable
