I swear, getting mixed-use zoning in Cities: Skylines is going to take as long as in real life. Glad to see the devs finally made it possible to have a livable city. Only took seven years.
i read that the reason we don’t have mixed use buildings is because it makes the programming more complicated or something. quite a shame.
Kibz, you might like to visit the Netherlands if you get the chance. I walked through cities and villages which your build reminded me of.

Having spent quite some time in this game, I was in awe multiple times during the video.

I used to play C:S a few years back and without mods the main game was sooo boring, but damn things has changed wow ! I might consider playing it again...
I think something you would like would build a District combining high-density residential green city buildings and high-density wall-to-wall commercial.
please make the large rock formation a Park/Campground area, terraform a lake or river feature, i feel like that would make this the Ultimate city/area to live by, also adding farmsteads would accent the concept brilliantly in my opinion. love you videos Kibitz, keep doing you.

Everything they added is great, but I wish they had also included two lane one ways with tram lines and bicycle lanes.
If you go to the tree menu in the terraform menu and select a palm tree you can upgrade roads to have palm trees instead of the trees you have. Not sure if you can do it with buildings too but definitely roads.
That is definitely beautiful! A lot of opportunities and varieties!
You can upgrade little bits of your tram only tracks to the pedestiran tramroad to make realistic tramstop platforms

Btw walkable zones cost a ton for you , check the Maintenance fee on the zone
I mean the sea side housing can be an easy sell to the Shareholders of the district they live in for the wonderful scenery
Make sure you are making your pedestrian zones extend across all the buildings 👍
I loved these short and fun videos of city building, I wish you could repeat this for city skylines 2.

Basically my Math classroom
Nice start... Ans yeah if ppl are looking for other options than full on skyscraper blocks, C;S really came around in the last year.
Personally I use the bak-2-back houses for an intermediary between the high downtowns and quiet suburbs. Funny fact: they hold almost as much ppl, or roughly 80-90% of the old High-Density.
My only pet peeve with new C;S stuff is that skyscrapers are still only tourist attractions, unless you install the RICO mod and change them (which I might, considering we have a LOT of nice new ones since last DLC - not too keen on that type of mod tho).
You should explore that "leafy build" a bit more. I made one about 2 years ago and it looked really really good.
Takes a lot of work to zone properly tho.

You may want to increase the number of firefighting services you have, due to the high risk of fire.
Also, maybe turn the areas inside the housing blocks into mini parks off the main one to generate revenue?

A lot of this looks really fantastic, but the trouble I am having with pedestrian roads is, it seems like you can either have pedestrians, or garbage services. Like, you still need buildings to border a road? (Not realistic, at all that is not how pedestrian streets work in reality) What am I missing here?
Oh that and, almost all of my mods are now defunct and all of my save files. But that's fine, mods will come back.

I really don't understand the high capacity mixing with green city. How is cramping as many people as possible in claustrophobic apartments good?
My main problem with Cities Skylines is that the Devs decided to take the Maxis/EA Yhe Sims route for adding new content. Literally everything they add is a DLC
