Thank you for doing this video. If you would get a hotel in Naples, what district would it be in? Also keep up your great work. You’re not leaving anything out I really appreciate that.
Having visited Naples a few times in the last few years, here's our opinion. If you're using Naples as a base to visit Capri, Amalfi, or Pompeii, staying in the Napoli Centrale area is a practical option. The train station is there, and you can walk to the port without catching a bus or taxi. Naturally, all main train stations in Europe need proper caution, but the Garibaldi Square is patrolled and this should make you feel safe. On the other hand, if you are staying in Naples and you only want to visit the city, a hotel at the Bovio Square area, before the municipality, means you could walk to the center in 10-20 minutes and not use any transport. The thing is, that at present the yellow metro line is not really practical if you want to go to the Ovo castle area, but this is about to change with the metro works expansion. Soon a new connection stop is going to operate and If we are not mistaken, (I think we saw the finishing touches) it should be right before Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli a Pizzofalcone. When this is open, you could use the metro from there to go to Via Partenope.
We have more videos about Campania region with practical info about what to visit in the areas, including Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Ischia, Procida, and more from the Amalfi Coast ua-cam.com/play/PLxRHhKvfPjpXCEn8iSGpN35e5B0hyAL4R.html
