Josh, you've made the point before on another bunkhouse trailer, suggesting extending the cargo space beneath an adjoining dinette or sofa. Honestly, a great idea for extra long items. Only... not in this case, because the slideout.
Ah 🤦🏻♂️ should’ve had a V8
Josh if they don't have carpet in the slide out them kids can't spill their cherry koolaid and stain it. Making memories that last a lifetime.
True
But man.. koolaid can stain about anything I swear
OMG!! First, I LIVE by your RV info!! We are looking to purchase a TT or 5th wheel (if I have my way, 5th wheel for sure!) and I follow you almost closer than Jesus!!! I know what I want (my honey hasn't done enough research as I have) and every episode, I find something new I'd love. AND........I thought I was the only person who had their own language!!!! We are simpatico brother!!! Keep these coming. I LOVE the honesty about your likes and dislikes. I AM part of your Nerd Herd!!!! Love from NH!!!
At that angle, changing bedding will be fun.
Bunks nice mattress.
One of my favorite things unique to this model, they put a mirror AND an outlet in the bathroom. Other brands forget about the outlet if there is not separate vanity. I appreciate the thought behind that. Small bathroom, but still storage, mirror, and outlet.
for a more compact camper, I dig this layout and feature set.
Ty
Nice little camper. I like the no "separate" sink in the bathroom.
Wow...wasn't expecting a C.W. McCall reference today! Oh, and gazoontite!!
Ty!
Wish they could design this series with dual axles as shorter towables form other companies offer with shorter models...may be flaws on interior but I like the added safety option TY
If you go tandem, then this is basically the result m.ua-cam.com/video/40MtO0FTVe8/v-deo.html
Honestly, I'd prefer a private bedroom, me and the hubby get up at different times. And I could do without an oven altogether, anything an oven could do while camping could be done with a toaster oven. Also, as a vertically challenged type person I would NEVER use a microwave that's above my head. I don't fancy a ramen shower! 🔥 😅
Such a big slide on such a little camper looks like it would tip the camper over if big uncle Harry and aunt Gertrude sat by the dinette window.
I have a 2022 version , some very slight differences , but it works great for us :)
Yeah, not a whole lot change their
Nice li5tle Geopro😊😊👍👍👍👍👍
👍🏻
Something about those bathroom doors bugs me when they leave so much room at the top, and bottom. The door is probably hollow too so the end result is sounds that could change a face on Mt. Rushmore...
Another great informative video. Keep up the good work and doing what you’re doing. Keep posting those old Haylett RV school videos as well. We potential newbies enjoy the education.
Thanks! Will do!
#NerdHerd 🎉
Thank you. My guess is there is plumbing and electrical behind that headboard panel.
Could be
Yes. All the connections enter behind the headboard.
Thumbs up for the song reference.
😊
Josh! It looks like Rockwood just released literature for 2024 GeoPro models, including some interesting new floorplans and fun new updates! Get thee back down to the factory, stat, to sneek-peek them soon so I can see ‘em! Thanks for everything you do!
I plan to get my hands on all of them I can
Love the storage space ,and the light weight. The shower head room kills this 1 for me. Am Also 6ft
5.7 cubic ft fridge I think is the right size. that 10ft is to much of a power hog....but I'm finding the extra room just means more icecream and peach cobbler room.
Love the videos…however, you should seriously consider an “Uncle Josh’s tips, tricks necessities and possibilities” series. You mentioned the fold up e-bikes. What does that look like inside? Is that something (e-bike’s) Bish’s carries or can get for customers looking to get them? Have fun, stay safe…and make more videos.
That’s kinda what my entire “learn about stuff” playlist is 😉
On small single axles how about a half bath ( full sink and medicine cabinet
no tub/shower) Park campers have park facilities and off grid have their outside shower
Mfgs have tried stuff like that. Not enough people were willing to buy rvs without bathrooms
I actually agree with you though
Wish the geo pro 20bh had tandem axles. It would be my #1 choice over Winnabago.
I would take a step into slide if that made the difference to make it usable closed. I feel like its a real loss to HAVE to completely setup for a quick overnight
If they had done the shower instead of the tub, the sink would be a good idea. Climbing over the tub to get to the sink would really suck!
I think they wanted to make sure you had plenty of elbow room. Tub curtains help that in small spaces
They have changed the rack that you mount the grill to. It looks more stable than the original.
The 2 small windows in the slide should be same height as large one. Larger would be better.
We had a cabinet under the range in our Winnebago. It was not very deep and we ended up using for paper towel and garbage bag storage. I also placed the control panel for the Progressive EMS in the cabinet's sidewall. It let me see the display when needed but kept the light out of sight at night.
I want hear about the brick building that shows up in the background of some of your videos.
That’s a historic building. There are greyhound dog statues out front because it used to be a dog racing track ages ago
Yeah I am one of the hate it , I just dont like the sink in the shower , plus my sons and son in law are between 6' 2 and 6' 6 . The bed and shower , hmmmm dont think so . Yet I still like your humor and presentation Josh .
Fair enough. Ty
You said "jiggle bangin'" !!!
Yeah that’s what happens when you’re roller quakin’
Ok...ok...What God do we need to sacrifice the goat to in order to get Rockwood to finally get rid of the carpet. Honestly....
Let's hope it doesn't come to that lol
Probly the first thing I done when we got a new camper recently was upgraded that fart fan to a max air fan
👍🏻
OK, here we go… If you don’t like that dinette, you could always keep it folded down into a sleeper and just put a small mattress top on it and some pillows and make it into a big sofa for everybody to sit on. The skylight in the bathroom could actually be enlarged and heightened to help with not bumping your head. Don’t like the sink inside the shower. Who is going to stand there and lean over to wash their hands or brush their teeth? Maybe one of those fold down square sinks where you could actually reach it? And yes, expand that under bunk storage into the dinette area. 👍🏽
Ty
Nice looking little camper. Isn’t it.
It sure is!
Yeah I wish that they did away with the step up dinette and carpet. I also wished that the bed was north and south.
Step up dinette is a symptom of the size. Rv would need to get a chunk taller to get over the wheel well
Shelf or pocket to hold the phone or tablet near the USB outlets in the bunks please?
Great idea
Love the layout. Not a fan of all the exposed wires on the roof. I would think over time they would start to deteriorate.
I love the exterior side access cargo area, so much that it will probably be the reason I buy this camper. You mention it can hold your folding e-bike. However, can you provide any measurements or what a standard non-folding bike would look like in that area? I have not had a chance to go to a dealer and I do not want to bring a bike and try and fit it while I am there either.
With how they vary I don’t know that I can. I can only tell you how my stuff fits and our team can get some measurements for you from there
I like everything about this except the bunks. Would rather have the bath span the width and get a little more floor space elsewhere.
Try this one m.ua-cam.com/video/1lCw79-BK6M/v-deo.html
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks Boss!
With the vaulted ceiling, could someone fit a privacy curtain across the front bed area if they wanted?
Trickier to do.. but Rockwood actually includes a privacy curtain on their larger models with vaulted ceilings
Just before the pandemic. I I found a new one for 25k OTD
Any idea how much the extra 200 watt panel with 3,000 watt inverter would be?
Not my area I am afraid. Our parts folks can assist
I saw that the Matt's RV guy is in Wixom right now. Any chance of you two making a joint review or would the dealer groups not be too keen on that?
He and I are totally ok with it but our respective employers… not so much.
Now and then we bump into one another at trade shows and “accidentally” slipping into one another’s videos
Is it a 60" wide bed? The plan says 54" and the 2022 was definitely 54" as I measured it myself. Loved this model, just couldn't get over the narrow queen. Would be happy to hear they've gone to a standard queen width for 2023.
54” last I knew. Did I say otherwise in the video?
@@JoshtheRVNerd 5:25 - Glad I don't have to trade in my 2022 Apex for a 2023 GeoPro!
Hey josh do they have a layout like this but longer like a 29 or 30 ft but still be able to pull with 1/2 ton truck?
At that size a layout would change significantly
They do make bunks but not sure what to recommend
Maybe a 2706?
@@JoshtheRVNerd ok thank you for reply I will look that up
Question: why don’t small single axle bunkhouses, like this one, not have Murphy bed? It adds a lot of functionality. Is it about the weight? Personally, I think it would be worth it.
Some do. Not all. Wildwood 178bhsk or ember 191MSL for instance
But some people don’t like Murphy beds
@@JoshtheRVNerd I’m familiar with the Ember. The Wildwood looks interesting, thanks for the tip. 👍
Josh, With my E-Pro 19BH, with a 30 amp connection, can I connect it to a 50 amp circuit? I do have a 30 amp surge Protector for it.
Yeah. The conversion adapter you use drops the 50a plug down to 30a
@@JoshtheRVNerd I have one that purchased on amazon and it says 50 amp to 30 amp adapter
@@dannyt7211 you’re good
@@JoshtheRVNerd thank you, i know i ask you a lot of questions, but still learning
@@dannyt7211 keep them coming. That’s how we learn
🎉#NerdHerd
😊
doesn't look like you would be able to pull out the headboard for a bigger mattress. looks like all the hook up inlets are tucked behind it.
Oooh good eye. Would need to double check
That psychokenisis joke is Emo Philip's. Good job Josh!
I think Steven Wright beat even Emo to the punch
@@JoshtheRVNerd love Steven Wright!
Still only one outside speaker 🔈
yep. I'd almost rather they just got rid of it
@@JoshtheRVNerd Absolutely. They need to get rid of the outside speaker all together.
People use their portable Bluetooth speakers anyway. Saves money and eliminates a place for water to intrude.
@@JoshtheRVNerd What I know about the 2024 Geo/E-Pro updates
👍New slam latches for outside cargo doors, finally!
☹️Outside Keyless coded door lock Deleted
👍New Gray Color Fiberglass Exterior Color
👍Geo Pro has darker color along the outside cargo doors, I think it is a wrap or stickers giving a 2 tone look
👍New magnetic latches on interior cabinets.
☹️Possibly a down graded control panel but does have a phone app
🙁Still has the one outside speaker, please GeoStaff delete the speaker altogether! Let it die. Let it go. Part ways. Get a divorce. Please delete it!
This is the 1st Geo Pro that I have seen that is a total disappointment😢with a difficult to make east west bed, nothing but an uncomfortable dinette for family seating, a cheap shower curtain and no real bathroom sink for washing hands, brushing teeth and shaving😩
