Though Geo Pro really used to look and "feel" a lot different from even the Mini Lite Rockwood RVs this experience really reinforced for me how they are truly more similar than different. From the floor construction up thru the roof you really get to see where even these, their smallest RVs, enjoy the same processes, materials, and attention to detail as even the largest of their Signature Series fifth wheel RVs!
PLUS! We get you a few quick bonus looks at some extra and unknown processes from the Rockwood/Flagstaff team!

Okay I'll go ahead and say it,
This is probably the most anticipated factory tour you are going to give.
😁
I figured a lot of folks would like seeing this one and the Mini Lites
This series on Rockwood/Flagstaff is the best education on this company anywhere. It should be mandatory viewing for all dealerships that carry their products. We most likely know more than the average sales person selling these. Thanks for the tour!
Wow.. thanks Wayne!
Why? The wealth of knowledge is just one more reason you should be buying from Haylett!!! ;-)
truth
Craftmanship and pride in product!!! This 3 part tour adds a whole new meaning to when you say "Rockwood doing Rockwood things"! You're not kidding. Attention to detail that makes product last the test of time. Thanks Rockwood for showing us how you build your product. Other industries could learn from your manufacturing processes. Thanks Haylett RV, it's really nice to see how these things come together. Josh thank you again. You're my favorite RV reviewer. Not to serious, not to crazy and always funny and entertaining. The perfect balance.
Ty :)
Azdel is great. There’s no off gassing that you get with composite wood products. For me Azdel is a must. When you full time, you see a lot of older RVs that are delaminating badly. Some of them are reputable builders. Well done Rockwood. It’s a well designed and built trailer!
The wife and I were undecided on a Rockwood or another brand but after seeing your factory tour of the Rockwood, I think that is the one we will go with…now choosing a floor plan! Thank you very much for taking the time to make these videos, they are very informative!
We have a 2020 E-Pro E20BHS and absolutely LOVE it
Monster floor plan! Good choice!
"Five point cubic three total foot" - one for the blooper reel! You crack me up, Josh! Great video
sigh... lol :)
After looking for a 19FBS for 4 months, I found one in Oklahoma. Best travel trailer on the market. Thank you for all the advuce!!
Congratulations
I'm sold. I was contemplating Keystone Vs Rockwood.... Now we know
Glad to see they're dbl nutting the side wall to the outrigger (11:08). I heard about that on another video. Thank you!!!
I love the attitude of emphasizing safety. In term of factory tour idea, I would like to see a short interview / conversation with the assemblers talk about the key steps in the work, a minute or two for each stage would be good enough.
Ty for watching. Maybe I can try to include some of that in future tours

I know we made the right choice with the Geo Pro 19BH but seeing the factory tour really reinforces that! Thanks for all these videos, even though I am not in the market anymore I keep watching because I keep learning
So I am a Mechanical and Systems Engineer and lifelong design professional. I really appreciate your videos and comments. We bought a Geo Pro 15TB a year ago and had a couple trips last year. We LOVE it!
Wow, thank you!
Rockwood is FIRST CLASS bc they go the Extra Mile & that is why I own a Rockwood GEO PRO! Thx so much for Reviewing their construction it Demonstrates their Great Craftsmanship and Product Pride. It also, reinforces the Reasons I Bought One.
Another fantastic Rockwood/Flagstaff factory tour, I'm hoping and wishing for a 5th wheel assembly tour. Thank you so much for what you do. 😊😊
I went thru the signature line in part one, but they were running trailers that day. The processes would be the same
I am a GeoPro owner who had troubles with my flooring separating from the frame because of poor fastener application at the factory. Good to see the factory went back and upgraded the fastener connections the exact same way I did it...double-nutted with a Nylock nut finish. This was my biggest complaint about quality in my rig.
Thanks for sharing. Glad to know they’re making improvements that matter
Love Rockwood! The trailer of hold my beer, let's make this better.
I absolutely love these factory tours. This is really what gives you the confidence to make that huge investment. I had a Wolf Pup and one of the big complaints was those bolts that kept spinning off. After years of customer complaints, Wolf Pup still continues to allow this to happen while Rockwood has added a second bolt. I am getting ready to purchase a 19FBTH and this video is a huge selling point. Thanks Josh for putting in so much effort to bring these to those of us who live too far away to see this in person. It is very much appreciated!
How cool was it we got to see a sample of their suspension package right at the front end of this video!! Thx for watching :)
I'd love it if you dropped me a quick review some time at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review in return for the efforts btw!
Hyper Color!!! I remember that stuff. #80’s kid
Was it 80's or 90's?
Did they bleed thru a bit?
OMG! NOW THIS IS A GREAT TOUR! I watched a customer tour and it was horrific. The crew was working in a rushed spastic manor. I got the impression or actually...it looked to be slapped together. Also, at the time they were using OSB for the floor and calling it something else. This here is a game changer. Note: you are one dedicated dude.
I was actually REALLY impressed with the improvements they've made since my last visit. Rockwood has never been one to just "sit on their hands" but the bulked up chassis/flooring I've seen thru their plants is inspiring
Rockwood is definitely getting business. Thanks a million Josh! This is exactly what I wanted to know
My pleasure!
Can’t wait to see the Roo / Shamrock tour
Thanks Josh - I'd forgotten about the 15TB and when refreshing my memory this video came up - fantastic tour!
It’s a fun little model. She’s gotten a bit heavy for what it is though
Interesting tour. Sure seems like more of a quality build than other campers I've seen through the years.
Learned about the recycling water at the shower. Never knew that!
A 19FBTH from either brand, with the Power Package, is on my VERY short list for full time, nomad living.
I've been debating between a GeoPro and an Escape 5.0. This tour definitely tips the scale in favor of the GeoPro. Thank you for doing it!
Glad it was helpful! Please consider dropping my Coldwater, MI home store a review in return for the effort at www.bishs.com/review-us-manually/
Excellent build quality . Thank you Josh & Flagstaff /Rockwood for the factory tour !
Our pleasure!
Thanks for this one. I already have my E-pro, but still love to see how they are made.
Great video! Thanks, learned a lot! Only own Rockwood but frankly thought it was mostly hype and this shows it actually is significant difference in quality. Appreciate knowing!! Loved this whole series!
Ty Resa!! Our series wraps up tomorrow with a popup tour and our first 2022 geo pro video goes live as well!!
Hyper color shirts Gen X - good video with lots of information
I was born on that GenX / Millenial cusp
My age group has had like.. 9 different titles
I don't know what I am. I'm just doing my nerdything over here
Your videos--and these tours--are consistently brilliant, Josh. You have absolutely sold me on a GeoPro when the time comes! Thank you! 👍
Well thank ya
Can't wait for part 4, since we own a 2021 Rockwood Hw296..
Josh, great job as always. So impressed with Rockwood we ordered one. Thanks for walking us through all the different versions ! Appreciate you and Rockwood
OUTSTANDING!!!
Amazing quality! I see a 19fd Geopro in our future! Thank you Josh!
Thank you! Rockwood. /Flagstaff. Awesome! video Josh. Thank you for all the videos and information you provide.
Love these tours! Helps by seeing the quality that goes into the construction!
Our pleasure!
Love the series of manufacturing. I ordered a Mini Lite from you all and can’t wait to get it! More mportantly, this helps instill more confidence in our choice of RVs, and dealership!
Great review 👍 Geo Pro units look like some great quality fit and finish! Thanks for taking the time for making this review.
My pleasure :)
Josh you have again impressed me with this video and I appreciate the time you have taken to educate us on their product line, Thanks again!
😊
That is why I love my trailer.
Epic amount of insulation. Josh, you introduced me to Rockwood so I must thank you 🍻. I'm sold and the Ms is starting to lean more towards one. Fits our needs and just seeing this I don't have any doubts now. We want and can afford the Lance 2075 but wants vs needs... This is all we need 😁
There are a lot of good RVs out there but there's something special about rockwood. Pound for pound overall they're just really on point
Outstanding. Learned so much and gained even more confidence in the brand
Awesome! Thanks for joining us today
I bought a 2021 Geo Pro 20bhs in 2020 and I'm very happy with the quality. It's been a great camper.
Great to hear!
Great video and impressed with the quality of the production,
Great video. Will be taking a look at them !!
Hey Josh, love your videos!!
Next time you're talking with Rockwood Geo... tell them to put a murphy bed in their Geo Pro G16BH ! This would make the prefect small camper for 2 adults and 2 kids. The current floorpan is nice but the need to make up the bed everyday is a deal breaker.
Thanks!
Gary
👍🏻
I got one in October 2020 15TB. The prefect camper.
Thank you! I needed the measurements of the walls. We want to do some mods and were unsure of what we had to play with! This video has given me a lot of confidence! I knew they were well made. You took the time to tell us more details about the various stations than other videos. Going to FROG Rally in August and we hope they start the factory tours again!
Glad I could help! TY for watching, Beth :)
Loved the tour and information. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed the Rockwood plant tour video. We’re picking up our new 2023 Geo Pro 15TB tomorrow and are so excited. It was great to watch your tour video and see exactly what we are spending our hard earned money on. Paul Galo
Congrats!! If this was helpful, then would you mind dropping me a quick review at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review in return for the helping hand?
You just helped me make my mind up which trailer I'm gonna look at thank you
Glad to be of service!
I love the factory tour! My next time I'm ready for a new or used RV I will be looking for a Rockwood or Flagstaff. I'm really a fan of all your RV videos, If I didn't live so far away I would probably buy one from you.
Awesome video Josh
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for making tand sharing his video !
Our pleasure!
Love the off road blue gas strut. I'm taking a few more ideas each time I wacht your videos. I've got my Sandy River Edition of a Minnie Lite 2507S with 5 Solar panels a 2800 inverter with Mttps, raise toilet, extra eating table, slam lashed doors, extra 15,000btu air conditioning, bike rack on the Hich.💟🤔 So do the math for the gran total...Hahaha...😁
Sounds pretty awesome! Roof has to be flooded with panels
I cannot wait till the 2022 8263MBR or 2613BS comes out to see what changes they made. So much potential in these RVs, especially for a couple.
TY for watching :)
I don't think you'll see a lot on those. Though I've heard rumor they're working thru the signature line slowly to remove carpeting where they can. I'd be very excited to see it!
Thank you for another very informative video.
Our pleasure!
This was a great factory tour. two years later, is rockwood still producing as reliable models with the same construction practices?
I feel they are. I would put them next to anyone
Pound for pound I think they’re amazing
Awesome job as usual
TY TY :)
Thank's josh very informative tour loved it!!!
Thx Mark!
That was an awesome tour Thank You
Glad you enjoyed it!
Josh
Thanks again for another great video.
We have a GeoPro 19FD we love it and the quality shows.
We will buy another Rockwood product
Because of the quality they put in the trailers.
TY for sharing. The updated 19FD just landed and I love it!
Great show.
Ty!!
They used to do OSB floors, or (Weyerhauser structureboard as Anthony Yoder called it). My 2020 19BH definitely has it because the floor sags between the floor beams when stepped on. That doesn't happen with 5/8 ply. Good to know they switched it out. So not really a misconception, just a change that they made at some point for the better.
Ty Josh . Great Video
Our pleasure! Learn anything new or interesting??
GREAT VIDEO!
Glad you think so!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Wow just watched this… thank you everyone
TY for tuning in! :)
I had to come back and revisit this video because I was on some RV user group and someone posted a photo of the side of their travel trailer (It was a Bullet by Keystone) and there was a huge piece of the laminate missing on the side, near the front, exposing the plywood underneath. The problem appeared to come from a lack of maintenance by the previous owner. It got me to thinking, do I have plywood in my walls (We have a 2019 E-Pro 19BH)? I did not think so which is why I am here and NO, there is not.
This video (and many others by Josh) is the reason that we purchased the rig that we have. We have owned our rig for 1 1/2 years, towed it almost 17,000 miles through 25 states (even through the white knuckle, 10% grade Teton Pass going from Jackson Hole, WY to Yellowstone) and have experienced NO major issues. We chose a smaller rig because we were limited by our tow vehicle (2022 Toyota Sienna Hybrid XSE). Watching this video again just reinforces why we made a great decision to purchase our E-Pro!
Geo pro has never used wood paneling in walls. They've always been azdel on the inside and out since they launched
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks Josh! That is what I thought and why I came back to review your video to confirm. Another reason that I am so glad that I bought an E-Pro!!
Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!!
They should consider air ride for all models so one can adjust tongue/hitch weight.
I predict more brands offering new/improved suspension system in these "premium little guys" more frequently in the future
Nice job here. The Geo Pro 19BTH is the now the front runner in my toy hauler search.
Got a tour of one of those here for you! bit.ly/3CezHNC
The techs were like little kids playing with that onboard compressor system lol
Thank you Rockwood and Thank You Josh, Great info, maybe at the beginning or end a screenshot of the models with floorplan out of the catalog for that particular line of trailers that you are touring would be neat to know otherwise great work Josh👍
That’s a solid idea. Ty
G or E your still a Pro!
❤️It
hahaha -- well played :)
Hey Josh, I was driving from Washington state to New York and past the Grand Design plant and thought of you and your tours...I don't know if you have ever given a video tour of their plant. Keep up the good work, the Nerd herd appreciates it.
Really like that RD model. Too bad they don't bring it back. I love a rear dinette/living area with windows on three sides like that
Seriously have been looking at the Geo Pro travel trailers! I’m thinking for the money they probably are the best out there! I’ve never been into campers that are essentially “houses on wheels”. Something on the smaller side is more my style. Really the only requirements the wife and I are looking for are a comfortable bed and a dry bath, separate shower type. As of now not sure which floor plan to go for.
Thank You Rockwood / Haylet !! May I suggest a Top 10 list of Campers for Tall People .
Ty and ty for the idea
Outstanding video very informative. Josh you have a gift that alot of us wish we had. Honest and very knowledgeable. You sold me on Geo Pro. Now have to convince my wife. Any ideas???
Convincing her is up to you man lol
Nice
Thanks
Another great video. I am leaning towards the E Geo Pro 19BH. This brand must keep good resale past the 5 year mark. I like that low profile AC. Good to know about the fridge. Definitely a perfect size to power consumption balance
They're ultra-popular and vanish from the used lots as fast as the new lots typically
Uncle Josh; by far the best factory tour and explanation of product yet! I have watched this one three times now. You are on your game GOLD MEDAL TIME!!!! Man, I love those weld points they are doing! No little puny spot welds like I have seen other manufacturers do. The roof system is really awesome, great point about the strength.
QUESTION: Is there a spot in the roof for connection for a DISH Antenna? Also, is there a way to retract the slides in case of a failure? Last, can you sit in the slides with them retracted inside?
Double Azdel brings this up to a Lance quality product for 1/3-1/2 less money....AWESOME!!! I do wish they would fully enclose the belly though.....maybe like one other co. that uses the more rigid panels with the foil attached to the sections. Man, this is a awesome little trailer! Only question now is......Geo Pro or Mini Lite??
Roof isn’t satellite prepped, but there are “table top” receivers out there that work nicely
Not generally recommended to use closed slides btw
My list; Rockwood , Keystone, Jayco. I love models of all 3 manufacturers, the build and the QC. However Rockwood has always impressed me the most. No, there's no perfect RV but they get ya close as possible. Perfect blend of flash and function over all flash and 2 years later.. a " soup sammich".
That said, I want the 2516s. Wife wants the Cougar 26rds.
1st world problems 😏
Man.. I feel like you and I are cut from the same camping cloth
Wow really great video Josh. I am impressed by the build techniques loving that air suspension lot of good stiff with geo pro I run into a lot of them in California people dry camping an work camping right in mall parking lots an if the people are there I always ask how they like them they always say they love them I gonna say the Lamanated walls hold up pretty good on geo pros compared to some I not gonna name brands..... In California do to great weather here r.v. builders in California are a little skimpy .... Seeing the guts of these is very cool I can see were in future like u said this last run of this model someone 10 years from now who broke a waterline or wire wear out an they have to replace might use your video to see were that line in walll. Your factory tours are great but it would be great for you to interview a manager towards end just to speak about there great product geo is in my top 10 list of good brands well built r.v.
I like this series, very informative. Will you be showing the ROO line too. I have one on order and would love to see the production line for that series.
I won't be showing the Roo line DIRECTLY... but we've basically already covered it.
Roo and Mini Lite are literally the same RV. The bed ends are the only difference
Next week we cover popups
Combine the mini lite tour with the bed-ends from the popups tour and BAM! You got a Roo!
Not gonna lie, I'm a little offended about us not getting any love over at 10d😅
Hi Josh, the factory tours are the best. I saw in another's UA-cam video ( Rockwood 2022 2509s Small Solar Upgrade) that Ian used 3M VHB dbl stick tape to attach additional solar panels to the roof (14:10 min into video), rather than putting additional holes in the roof with screws thru the roof membrane. Do you have any thoughts on this or have you discussed with any of the manufacturers? My concern is that the 3M VHB permanent type tape is only attached to a membrane that itself is only glued to the rood below...although I do like the idea of less holes in the roof.
Another very informative and well-done video Josh! We just picked up our 20FBS locally and couldn't be more pleased with it. After looking at several brands during our search, buying a GeoPro was an easy decision. This factory tour video is icing on the decision cake as it were. Thanks for being such an RV nerd!!
Congratulations!!
Are these guys hiring? That aluminum welding is killing me! I will never understand why anyone finds that acceptable. Bums me right out because I want one!!!
I'm uneducated in welding. Could you enlighten me as to what's been done poorly?
@@JoshtheRVNerd I did cosmetic aluminum welding for a company called Logan Coach. I know it is an industry issue. 4:23 is a good example. There is at least 1 (It looks like 2) hole in the weld that is closest to the center screen. The weld to the right of it covers maaaaaybe 70% of the joint being generous. That is one reason why welds crack and break. Trailer companies get away with it because it is almost never seen once fabricated. Any welder worth his salt would not let that fly in my opinion. QC should be on that! (I also have 3 years of QC experience in a precision machine shop *cough *cough) I don't even know how to respond to 4:52 politely. For anyone with welding experience, I can guarantee you that is a HUGE red flag when considering spending this kind of money on a trailer.
@@jasonlamb3533 100% in agreement re. the welds!! Sure those welds are hidden, but that's just the point. If they're so worried about using good plywood to support the shower (which also can't be readily seen), then why aren't they equally observant about having good, consistent welding on the floor frame? That one at 4:52 is egregious, but others just seem like they're tacked. I would like to see a full bead down the seam. Am I wrong?
Hi Josh. We are huge fans of your show, but that weld that you pointed out on the floor section was a textbook example of excessive oxidation. The result of a poorly prepared, dirty surface and unacceptable welded joint that will more than likely separate eventually after hitting a pothole or experiencing flexing that occurs while going down the road. Hopefully that will be noticed by the folks there that can catch and correct that very real defect before it happens to their entire line. Thank you for all that you bring us. You’re appreciated!😎
Thx for watching and ty for the info Rick
Saw your other factory tours on these before we bought our 19FD (love it) back in Feb. Question: At 28:41 the control panel, is there a way to find the information on the decal with the 'phone app' to work the control panel separately, as in the decal peeled off (wouldn't stay stuck to the wall) and 'got lost'? Can get thru the process up to where it's asking for a "K-code" then stalls as I can't find that. New phone.
Posted link to vid on our Geo Pro facebook group.
I believe you can do a more manual hookup thru the app but it’s been a minute since I played with it myself
What an interesting video!! Thank you so much! Can you tell me how they ship across the country or in Canada?
Have you done a review, or can you review the 2021 Rockwood 2706WS? Would love to see your opinions on that one
Yeah I got you :)
ua-cam.com/video/NZgFxFBS1z4/v-deo.html
hypercolor is what they were called
We love our 2021 geo pro 20bhs. So much so we decided not to go bigger better badder with a fifth wheel. Instead my fiancé is finally letting me modify it lol. Out with the bunks in with a dog kennel with closest above.
Oh man.. with what you just described.. look at this one bit.ly/3LzHide
Thanks Josh! Enjoy your videos...but as its already been said... Rockwood tour "most anticipated". We took delivery on our first RV last Oct. A E-Pro 19FD. How long does it take from start to finish to build one?
Apologies I don’t know build duration
Thanks for the tour. Since this is a single axle trailer what is the load rating or pounds of the axle? Also since this is a single axle is it better not to use a weight distribution hitch since the weight in the back of the tow vehicle can distributed to the trailer's axle exceeding the load rating or pounds that the trailer axle is rated? Thank you again for the tour....great information!
GVWR will vary by model. We include those specs on our videos for viewers
So when can we go to this factory and view finished units since nobody has any in stock to see?
