Y'all know this is just my opinion, right? What did you think of this album? Love it? Hate it? Why? What should I review next, eh?
My opinion is the living example of %100 the opposite of this...
You're still wrong on this one. And instead of comparing them to La Dispute and Touche Amore you should have said MWY is the reason those bands even exist.
Fuck everything this dude just said...This album is a masterpiece.
Album Anthony dislikes: "The production and sound quality was terrible and hard to listen to"
Reducing the lyrics to "esoteric" and then spending so much time on your opinion of the effects they used for his voice was like meeting the president and spending your whole time with him noticing that he has a hair growing out of that mole on his face. Your inability to enjoy the album seems to stem from not "getting" the lyrics--like poetry, the lyrics of this album require several listens and unfold more fully and beautifully each time around. Not sure you gave this album the time that it merits.
Geeeeez. I've never disagreed more with a needle drop review. Maybe Anthony is becoming overexposed because he hears so much music, or maybe he's in the process of losing the capacity to write interesting reviews that resonate with me. Either way, I think there is WAY more to appreciate about mewithoutyou and Pale Horses than what is presented in this review. I suggest investigating the lyrical content of any of their albums. The music speaks for itself. Blessings
i'm not sure you understand mewithoutYou, the music and the stories equally support each other, it's the whole vibe that matters
"Your flowery description's no better than his!
I typically can see where Mr. Tano is coming from on reviews, but not this one. Pale Horses is my favorite of mewithoutYou's discography, and one of my favorite albums of all time
Checkin in 4 years later to see if Melon retroactively awarded this a deserved 9 but naaaahh
you should have sat with this record a bit more
mewithoutCAL would be a terrible life to live.
I think this is their best work. "Comfort your family with words like eternity and friends made in factories somewhere."
I thoroughly disagree, i personally loved this album and have no idea what you're talking about, but I guess that is just your opinion, Admitely i did i agee with you on your 10 Stories review, but i felt like this was a huge improvement on that album.
Yo, can someone link me to the track
This is one of the more purposeful albums I've heard in a long, long time. I found it to be extremely beautiful and poetic and destructive and sad. It might be my favorite of theirs. Seriously, the Genius annotations on the lyrics of this album... Hot damn. So incredibly dense and I love picking them apart and putting together pieces to form a full picture.
Man I’ve not seen a comment section disagree with a video anymore than this. Maybe remake, or update. This albums insanely good
While I disagree with you on this, damn that Aaron Weiss impression was dead on.

I don't get it. A 5?? Why? I mean, I watched your video but your explanation seems so rushed and not thought out. I don't know what you were expecting but in my opinion this the best mewithoutYou album so far because it finally shows maturity and depth that was lacking in every other album. One thing I can't get over is your statement of liking "wordy rock music" then giving the examples of velvet underground and LCD Soundsystem. How did either of those pop into your mind? Then almost as if you knew you made a mistake you pseudo-corrected yourself by mentioning La Dispute and Touché Amoré. I just don't understand how you can listen to this album and be completely unimpressed/unmoved by it.
