He was, and remains the truest new voice of Deep Blues. He was, and remains special to those with the Soul to understand his genius. I NEVER use that word lightly. I’m old. I first fell in love with Blues music in 1965. When I heard Sean Costello I knew this music was still alive. What a loss. However, I will continue to listen to his magnificent work. It’s REAL. It’s RARE. It’s BEAUTIFUL. Enough said

His life was short, but he continues to bless so many with his talent. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to see him live, at Northside Tavern.

I've been playing blues for over fifty years. I consider myself a journeyman blues player. This guy was twenty eight When he died. He was light years ahead of me. What a waste.

Sean looked completely like Sean always did when he played, maybe just a little tired. Can't tell anything by the playing. Always the professional. Put his heart and soul into it despite the obvious noise of the crowd.

So many great musicians try to portray the blues. This man lived it and was the blues. And still the wanker audience twatters on like gibbons.

tyrone3382...it sounds like you really know your stuff. What amp/s did Sean usually use? I know his tone came from his soul and above, but I'm just curious. Thanks. K

Sean had heart and Soul!! That's the difference between the two. Never been a fan of Joe's but do respect his talent. Guys like joe can't touch cats like Sean in that realm.
