      Thanks dude, it's because it's been my passion for the majority of my life. I just got the GoPro Max for Christmas and that's what I've been using. Going to do a video on the camera soon.

    Super dope gear. Going to order a shirt. Would love to see a hat with that logo. Also, do you have stickers so I can rep on my new hometown hero? 🙌🏼

    Love it! I just ordered my solution. Im 5'5/165 size 9 shoe and I went with the 154. Havent taken the board out yet as Im super nervous about the width of this board. Compared to my T rice orca, this thing is soooo much skinnier.
    Im kinda wondering if I should have jumped up to the 158

    • @SearchofSnowboarding
      @SearchofSnowboarding  2 роки тому

      I would have put you on the 154. The 158 would have been too big, and the 154 is a good width for a size 9. You can fit almost a size 13 on the Orca, so you're just used to an extra wide board, but you'll love the 154 Solution

      After spending time with your board, are you glad you went with the 154 or do you wish you had the 158?

    Dude! Love your vids!
    These days were the first days on my new 161 solution Split... But I find that the two parts doesnt stay totally solid... I find that there is some vertical overlaping between the feet (even with the ultraclips pretty tight) Is this normal??
    Thanks man!

    • @SearchofSnowboarding
      @SearchofSnowboarding  2 роки тому

      Yes the two skis can overlap, and I would say that can change depending on what bindings you use. Bindings that use pucks can tend to not always make everything plumb. But as long as all of your clips and bindings lock into place you're good. Just know splits don't ride as good as solid boards because of the split, especially on groomed runs.
      Thanks for the support, Leo!

    been looking at getting this board for this season. scared its gonna be too stiff and not playful enough or capable in the tighter areas avoiding trees/navigating drops? whats your take on these things?

    • @SearchofSnowboarding
      @SearchofSnowboarding  2 роки тому +1

      If you're looking for a playful splitboard check out the mind expander. But for all mountain ripping whether it's dropping cliffs, riding trees, or hauling ass this is the ultimate board in my opinion

    Noticed you had Mega split for this season. I would want Mega but am I missing out on a lot when it comes to grip tech and 3D base compared to Solution? Thoughts?

    • @SearchofSnowboarding
      @SearchofSnowboarding  Рік тому

      I've only gotten on the Mega Split once so far, so I haven't really be able to see how much those features make a difference. I'm planning on putting out a Mega Split video in the next few weeks though, so keep an eye out.

    Just wondering how tall you are and were you happy with the 158 size? thx in advance

    • @SearchofSnowboarding
      @SearchofSnowboarding  Рік тому +1

      6ft, and I was happy with this size because that is what I typically ride for all mountain terrain

    Thanks for the uploads! Curious what your boot size is? Looking to get a solution but they seem sorta narrow compared to say burton splits. Thanks man

    Dope stuff man! Looking to pick up a splitboard soon, so in love with my Bataleon tho. Would you ride that board on resort/trees all day? Or would you bring another setup for that and only use the split for skinning/backcountry? Don't want to have to travel with 2 setups :/

    • @SearchofSnowboarding
      @SearchofSnowboarding  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks dude! Ideally you do not want to be riding a splitboard on resort all day with lift access. First off, you have much better stability from a board that is not split in half down the middle. Splitboard bindings are also not quite as comfy as regular bindings because many have metal baseplates and other components. A split doesn't ride as well as a solid board because when you're on a split you're really only using it to go downhill 10% of the time.
      Hope that helps

    Interested in your weight and boot size and what size solution you ended up getting ... I'm torn between whether ro get a 161 or 164 or a wide ... my boots are 10.5 us and geared up I weigh about 86kg

    • @SearchofSnowboarding
      @SearchofSnowboarding  3 роки тому

      I'm 6 ft, 68kg, and a size 9 boot. I got the 158 Solution and Medium Karakorm Recon bindings. I would say the 164 is probably too big for you. Try to stick with what size you are used to riding on your regular solid board also.

      @@SearchofSnowboarding I'm 5'-10" and also 68 kg and size 9.5 boot. Trying to decide between a 154 or 158 Jones Flagship. From what I read online I should be okay with the 9.5 boot on the 154 but just barely. Leaning towards the extra maneuverability of the 154. I am mostly riding groomers with some powder thrown in every now and then. what do you think? thanks!

  • @sloanpeters4683

    I'm interested in either the Solution or Ultra Solution. Have you tried out the Ultra Solution and think I'm better off saving some $ with the solution? Also torn between the 158 & 161. I'm 5'8, 165 pounds, 9.5 boot. Thanks!

    • @SearchofSnowboarding
      @SearchofSnowboarding  2 роки тому +1

      If you want super stiff go for the Ultra. I think the Solution is plenty of board just the way it is. Definitely don't get the 161, the 158 might even be on the big side for you. You actually might be better off with the 154

    • @sloanpeters4683
      @sloanpeters4683 2 роки тому

      @@SearchofSnowboarding Appreciate it! Probably going with Solution because it is more versatile and I'll get use out of it inbounds at resort as well. The suggested boot size guide on the Jones site is what was making me think I need the 161 or 158. I currently own a custom twin in 154 and Burton Fish in 151
