For those researching rear bumpers. I’ve been dealing with LOD and the Destroyer for a few weeks. I waited 40 days for delivery. Instructions were not completely accurate. Went to use the trailer hitch, and found the pin hole not level. The pin goes through itself, but using a bike rack, etc it’s misaligned. Short story after multiple exchanges with LOD, they offered to replace it but I’m on the hook for removing, boxing it, reinstalling it (7 hour process the first time at $125/hour) and being without a street legal vehicle for another month (no license plate, 3rd brake light, bumper). Not even a % discount for poor quality or trouble. Buyer beware I guess. #LOD #LODDestroyer

Prior to this did you have the bigger wheel/tire on the stock tailgate hinges!? And no issues with the added weight?

When removing the stock bumper the bottom part of the plastic fender liner is also removed. Did you replace it with something else to keep dirt/mud etc from getting up into the wiring and lights? Is there a way to reuse the stock pieces?

what is the weight differential between stock and your set-up. I love the look and functionality of the LoD Destroyer parts, especially the tire carrier.
I can tell you it weighs a lot more than the flimsy OEM wrangler bumper.
I believe the LOD system is over 200lbs. Its what I want, but damn its heavy

BEAST Projects I replaced my gears twice in one month. First shop didn’t install them correctly i had to involve my bank to get my money back. My Jeeps bottom was covered with gear oil and on the top of everything the mechanic somehow dropped a lug nut inside my front diff hub.

Can you go more into the wiring of the camera extension? Have my set up delivered and waiting for a decent day to throw it on.
You have to pull the rear trim panel off your tailgate, unplug/remove the stock camera wire & replace it with the LoD camera wire. You will have to separate the loom to remove the stock camera wire to make it look nice.
@@BEASTProjects gotcha. Thought there was to it from his comments other then removing the wire for cleaner look.

After installing this lod rear bumper with swing tire carrier, do you hear any sounds like clunking, vibration, or hitting a bump while driving? Also when you open the tailgate door, does it feel like stuck hard to open? Can do a full depth video demonstration walk around from left to right and under and open the tailgate door and separate the the swing tire carrier from the tailgate door? Also Open the tailgate door with swing tire carrier all the way where it hit the stopper for swing tire carrier?

Did you get this figured out i just installed mine and it sounds like it is clunking if I hit a bumb on the road adjusted it like 10 times now and the noise is still there
Does the bezels for the rear lights come with the bumper...the face of the rigid lights I have don't have the wings to attach to the bracket...they are just square.
This specific RI light does.
I just received my full width Destroyer! I’m guessing the install is similar. Did you have to buy the camera relocation option? I only bought the license plate so far. I’ve been waiting over a month for it to ship.
I did... I'll be doing a follow up video on it in a few weeks.

Yes, it was filmed several weeks prior. I have a lot of pending video footage to edit, because of my FT job, I only upload 1-2 times a week. It’s definitely heavy in comparison to the stock JL bumper.

Why does width of the tire interfere with the sensors?
They’re in the view of the middle sensors, because the tire is wide at 13.5” & the new carrier also makes it sticks out further from the normal stock carrier location.
Did the sensors beep without the spare? I’ll test tomorrow as I’m also installing this
Nope, they work fine.
Does the hinge come with a stop to prevent the tire carrier from swinging into the body on the back lower?
There's a stop plate mounted in the bumper to prevent that.

I got steel bumpers on my JLR. I don't understand how they made the front bumper so awesome but the rear is a POS. I'm looking at some aluminum rear bumpers because I want to keep my 2 door light as possible.
I agree!! I thought about aluminum myself, but there wasn’t a lot of options for what I needed.
You can still make videos. You should have a mask to wear. I have a feeling you have a few. LOL
