We are Dave and Karen and have retired. We decided to sell our home in Georgia in 2017 to live full time in an RV to travel across America to see the beauty of our country and meet awesome people along the way.

So we are volunteers at the locks as well. Just a shout out to Aubrey and Forest, who work at Phipps and do a great job keeping Phipps an enjoyable stay. BE SURE you review Phipps site and understand how they installed power/water and sewage hook ups. Travel Trailers / 5th wheels should book Odd numbers (with exception to a inner area section). You will regret it if you get an even site. Road is made from reclaimed ground up road - I believe. My wife and I are used to help maintain the area and nature trails on the other side of the locks - along with helping with daily operations at the vistor and checkin booth at St Lucie South. We got a quick view of our A Class (Godzilla) as you originally turned into Phipps.

I know that area extremely well.

Looks like a really nice park. Wow I thought maybe that was a Palm oak tree. LOL.🙃

  • @horizon42q

    Cool place

  • @mikedoran4763

Not an Oak Tree growing around the Palm. It's a Strangler Fig.

My Father-in-law is in Port St Lucie. I'm a huge fan of Berry Fresh, the food is soooooo good. Get there early, it gets awfully crowded.

Thanks... nice to see Regional\County\City alternatives. Like y"all, we prefer NPS, NFS, CoE, BLM, state parks and lands, and local governmental campgrounds.

The tree in the tree: The oak tree won’t grow until the acorn is planted, usually by a squirrel.
