I camp there every year. Love the place and very quiet.
We sure hope to come back. Super nice.
Great place. Thanks for the "dam tour" and a view of the "dam" locke...
Thanks for watching and commenting. The locks were cool.
Sites #21,35,36,40 and43 are the best ones. I've been there so many times and love it every time. Good fishing at the pier.
Awesome campground.
looks pretty nice. You are in a nice spot looks peaceful
Very nice campground. We enjoyed it.
Great review…we are at WP Franklin now and will be at Ortona South on Sunday…most of your ‘things to do’ we will have done here already, but we love seeing the review and overall information of the park. I hope we can find some bike trails (easy ones lol) and it would be cool to run across you guys on the road sometime. Thanks!
We hope to go back there some day. Nice peaceful campground. Maybe we will cross paths. 🤞 Have fun.
nice camp sights
They were with some room in between.
Nice informative video, 👍 thanks
Glad it was helpful! Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Hey guys😺🙋♀️🙋♂️.. That looked like a real nice spot... We used to take our boat down through the locks at santee SC to Charleston.. It was fun.. Was all the sites the same size.. What length was the site that you were in... We are going to have to make a trip down there... So glad you guys are having a great time... Won't be long we'll be seeing you in Blythe island... Thanks for the video... Stay safe...J&A
We had the longest site which was around 90 feet. That is probably the only site we fit in and we put the bikes across from us in a parking spot. See ya soon.
fantastic review! Thanks so much. Hope we can get in this winter! We are 42 ft and most of the sites say 40 ft.
We reserved that one spot (the longest one) well in advance. Very nice park.
Definitely looks like a nice park. The dam look pretty cool, How's the fishing.
Did see a few pull in some good size fish...maybe bass. A lot of locals fish there.
Glad to have you in the neighborhood! Nice tour, too... I expected to pay extra for Dave's Biology Symposium, but it was free! :-)
LOL 🤣🤣 These days you don't know. He might think he's a heifer next week. LOL
Another great review video with annotations. Really appreciate the CoE and State Park reviews.
Glad you like them! Appreciate you commenting.
What a beautiful place , I do like the Army Corps of Engineers sites , they always seem to be really well thought out and (as expected) work very well and have great amenities , love the added drone footage , I get to see so much of your awesome country thanks to you two who never seem to sit still for too long before travelling 😊. Manatee's , amazing , only discovered them about 10 years ago, trust me, Englands wildlife is so dull compared to America , the only wildlife that could kill is an angry wife or it's in a zoo 🤣
Glad you like the video and we can share our travels with you. The manatees are amazing.
Excellent tour. Thanks❤
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
You guys do a great job on the reviews I really appreciate it . We definitely would like to stay at this location after watching The tour of the park.
It's a busy place and we really enjoyed it.
Great video! I like what I see. And the price too. You said the other amenities was dump station? Not on your site tho. Am I correct? We’re leaving illinois at the end of March and would love to go there. I’d prefer sewer hook up on the site beings our tanks are not big capacity. Thankyou for putting out your videos. I had one beer watching it. More to come 👍
The only dump station is near the check-in booth. Nice place.
Thanks for sharing this great Campground. Did you see a lot of hurricane damage? Or where you there before that hurricane went through? Thanks again. Dave, you didn't have anything break? That's wonderful, you could rest and enjoy your cold beer.
We only saw the boats messed up in the video. We didn't get to the beach which we heard was still closed and a mess. Nithing broke on this trip. 🤞
Dave cracked me up with the comment about the Bull 's specific "feature" and after Karen said she would need to cut that out and Dave said "Why? It's just nature!"
Cracked me up too, so had to leave it in there. LOL
Looks like a great place to visit Dave. Would at least dropped a line in the water. Who knows might of had fresh fish and some poor man's lobster 🦞🦞😅.
Safe travels and roads Brian and Cindy, "xtreambydesign with passion"
You'd think that I would fish more living on a houseboat too. And I love fish. Gonna have to dig my pole out of storage.
@@WattsOnWheels Dave, you can't catch um and eat them if you don't dround a worm 😭😂🤣.
Did you have to reserve right on the 6 month deadline? I would love to do all 3 COEs on the waterway.
I try to due to our length.
Damn Dave pulling in campgrounds like a mad man that has to pee.......lol Swamp Cabbage that why Dave has ya there ? ? ?
The swamp cabbage festival must be a smelly place during and after. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we missed it.
As a current camp host at St Lucie South - I love the drone shot, however, at St Lucie South you CAN NOT fly drones in the campground and defiantly not over the locks. I'm currently working on our walking nature trails and asked if we could get a drone video of them - a big no from The Rangers.
So not saying you got away with flying - but ----
We always like to stay at site 32 by the bridge.
And the camp host at Ortona inspired us to do this.
Thanks for that. I'll take the video down.
@WattsOnWheels I wouldn't unless a 👉offical said something👈 just a heads up👍
I think I've seen you at Phipps or our campground before. Not many people have your setup.
@@michaellowrey8159 Oh OK. We would love to stay at St. Lucie, but can never get a spot. We will be at Phipps for the first time Jan 17 - Jan 27 because we couldn't get in at St. Lucie. I has one notification of a cancellation, but I wasn't quick enough. :) Maybe we'll stop by and say hi.
@@WattsOnWheels we are currently looking for a camp host 👀👀👀👀🫵👍💪
Opening February
@@michaellowrey8159 We're still on the move at this time. 😀
What no work for Dave
Not on that trip thank God. There is stuff to do, but I'm on strike. LOL
Did you pick a name for your drink? Remember Karen’s Khaos should be the winner
There were a lot of good ones and I like yours. Since you asked...I'm going to use Karen's Khaos and will announce in the future.
@@WattsOnWheels WOW. Thanks. Wahoo. Whatcha doing Dave. Drinking a Karen’s Khaos sittin' on the dock of the bay
Sipping on a Karen’s Khaos all day
I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay, wastin' time
