I drove through Stuart one Sunday when I lived in Vero Beach. My breath was taken away by Stuart’s beauty. I am a born Floridian. I love discovering this entire state. Stuart is one of the best little towns in Florida.
Love that you shared this. Im from the area and grew up on bathtub beach and house of refuge. I can't agree with you more above how special this is to me ❤
I grew up in Stuart, graduated from MCHS and married there. It's changed soo much since we moved there in the 60s. Still pretty but lost small town charm, flower farms etc.
after growing up in that town and area, the best thing to do there was to get the hell out of that town and state. you either have money or you work four minimum-wage jobs just to survive until the next hurricane hits.
Well I sure hope you're making a shit ton more than minimum wage where you're at now and your life is better sense leaving Florida. Life is what you make it wherever you are most situations. I was born and raised in Naples. Moved to Ohio as a teenager where it's cheap to live but now that I have my own family at age 40, I'm moving my wife and kids to Vero Beach next year for a better lifestyle and opportunity 1.5 hours from Orlando. 1 Hour from West palm. 2 hours from Miami and the keys. I feel there will be much more opportunities down there for my kids than what Toledo Ohio offers. I hate it here.
I feel your pain. It doesn’t help that whenever new housing is proposed, the Old Timers talk about how this place is going to hell and one day will be no different than Miami. Having said that, I love living here.
@@docbailey3265... well it has changed significantly & if you like traffic comparable to Ft Lauderdale. have been here from the late 70's. so am not exactly an old timer. the schools are excellent. the housing is exorbitant. when purchasing be sure to ask the cost of of mandatory homeowners/hurricane insurance unless you pay cash and then you are on your own for hurricanes etc. also the rising prices of HOA's
In the Stuart area if you’re interested I can turn you on to 7 miles of beach with not a soul on it. I think it’s the best kept secret in Martin County.
@@AikenAdventures are you guys local? We live in Idaho and the home prices are getting completely insane due to influx of the refugees from California, Washington and Western Oregon.. my daughter who’s a college student can’t afford to rent even a shackle for less than $800 a month.. So we are thinking of relocating to sunny Florida, but there are so many options and so many variables in the equation that we’re almost on the brink of analysis paralysis 😂.. We want to be in a nice family-friendly place not completely off the beaten path, yet quiet and safe, yet within the reasonable drive from the nearest airport and Home Depot.. It appears that Stewart, FL meets that criteria, but the best way to know that is to talk to locals ))
We do live on the Treasure Coast. Stuart seems a little highfalutin for my pocketbook, but if you can afford it, by all means! It’s a beautiful town! Martin County tends to be a little pricier than St Lucie County. Port Saint Lucie might be worth looking into as well. Also, if you’re considering Florida, you should know that the east coast and the west coast have different cultures. East Coast = New England. West Coast = Midwest. The farther north you go in Florida, the more Southern the culture is. The farther south you go in Florida, the more northern the culture is until you’re in Cuba without being in Cuba.
We did mention them, but the shots were just from the outside. We actually have gone back and made a dedicated video just for those two attractions since then: ua-cam.com/video/01oTLCOWISY/v-deo.htmlsi=Big6LXln_HbfR5ZS

Sounds beautiful
Sounds like you’re talking about the beach east of Peck Lake. How the heck do you get there without a boat?
You don’t
Great family, God Bless!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
