- This is just a short video of two different trips where I got into some fat tiger trout and some chunky rainbows. I took my float tube out to go after some tigers at the one lake and just fished from shore for rainbows at the other. I was using balanced scuds for the tigers and balanced leeches for the rainbows.

Haha, I was actually using power bait. I just edited that part out of the video 😁

Another great vid TH! I don't tie my own flies (yet, wanting to learn)... are balanced scuds hard to come by?
Thanks Noel. The balanced scud is my own creation. I've never seen one at a fly shop, but 'I've never looked either. I'm sure I'm not the only one with the idea. You can use a non balanced scud under an indicator, and you'll still catch fish.
@@TroutHowler Got it. My boys and I hve had success with scuds on stillwater (lakes) in the past. I've also seen you use a "Mega" Scud in previous clips. Is this your own conception as well? Would love to get some of these! I remember you killing it with orange ones on Strawberry!
