201 Upper Thread Tension Dial

I made this video about a year ago to help a friend who was having issues with the reassembly of her 201-2 upper thread tension dial. She hadn't completely removed the unit, rather she left the post & pin and the backing plate on the machine. Therefore, I tore mine down to the degree she had done to hers. Let me know in the comments if you want me to do a complete teardown and reassembly. I'm not going to bookmark the various stages on this video, it's short anyway...

Thanks, I just got a 201K for essentially the cost of the fuel and was having trouble getting the tension spot on. Your tip about getting the nut flush with the post at about setting 4 was the clue I needed to get it just right.

HOLY MOLY! I think this worked. I think I had the dial on backwards! 🤣 Another thing I am seeing in all of the tension videos is that little stop washer has the hook on the end of it pointing out on one end... mine doesn't have that and is shorter, Maybe it broke off? It seems my dial still isn't turning correctly.

Do you have any videos on how to remove and replace the whole tension unit on a 201K? I can find plenty on how to disassemble clean and reassemble but I want to replace the whole unit, and find out how to do this, which screws to undo etc
