- Happy St. Patrick's Day! Two years ago today I purchased the 116610LV. In this video I reflect on my time with this stunner. It is easily one of, if not the most satisfying watch I've ever owned. I hope you enjoy this ramble

This is still my favorite piece. I love that it’s a classic but with a twist that dances in the light and you don’t often see it in the wild.

You lucked out with the Hulk in so many ways. You should definitely keep it. Even as much as you love the Hulk, if you sold it, you almost certainly will never try to buy one back again for what they go for now and the foreseeable future. And, perhaps more importantly, THIS IS YOUR HULK.. and, buying another won't ever feel as great as the one you have now. To many more Hulk love for years to come.
You and your videos have been along with me for the four years since I started seriously getting into watches, so I absolutely think of the Hulk as 'The Bruce Williams' watch. I remember when you purchased it, and the subsequent videos of you wearing it while going camping with your family, etc. You shouldn't ever sell it, as I feel that it defines you, being a unique, slightly off-center watch, and you're a unique, off-center kind of guy. If that makes sense LOL. Great video!
Mines from 2017 and I thought about parting with it when it hit close to 30k, but every time I put it on it just puts a smile on my face, priceless. Glad you kept it

He who wears the green, gets the green. I noticed the hulk a long time ago, even before I got "the sickness". It was different and refreshing. I'm drawn to green with watches for some reason. Not so much in other respects but in watches, for sure. Love a nice forest green fume dial and British racing green. Keep it forever, Bruce!
Great video. I totally get all your points. As for value on wrist I also never think about it. Just wear what I like and call it a day.
Also get the not selling part. I’ve got a couple I don’t feel like selling too (regardless of value)

Bruce...I had the same scratch on my Subby...I picked it up from removing the seatbelt in my car. My $$$ is on this being how you picked up the scratch on your Hulk! One of the best watch focused channels on the Tube!
I have a similar story - I bought mine at retail just before they really became truly hard to get. It's just a magical watch (my personal take). I've never been tempted to sell it. The green is just mesmerizing in the right light. I like how it also sometimes looks like a Cermit. Long live the Hulk -- may they never reintroduce it :)

It’s a beautiful and unique look - absolutely- however prices drop drastically. You can find them easily for 17K… wanted to get it but preferred to get the Rolex Sea dweller 116600 - SD4K for the same price but I know in the long run, the SD4K would be more appreciated. Besides that, it has the perfect dimensions and non-cyclops and silt dial

When it comes time to service your Hulk, are you going to have it polished to give it the like-new look again?
Absolutely stunning to wear, the long wait Finally came 2017 after waiting for 6 mo. And didnt know it will appriciate in value that much .. its was great buy for us. 👍👍

Have you checked out how much your old Rolex GMT 116710LN has appreciated? Not as much as the Hulk but it's up there.
I’m going to ask you- I’m in that lower register when it comes to watches. I bought a Mido Baroncelli watch and I’m slightly alarmed to watch it which is $600-$700. What’s a good luxury watch that I could buy but would theoretically be a good investment. Because watches are meant to be worn, if it’s in a safe for its whole life, what’s the point? Im also 26 in an office setting but it’s fairly casual
No watch in general is an investment, buy stock if you want investment or do home improvement to increase house value or save up for second home but watch is never an investment and I spent easily close to 6 figures on them
It would be not my choice but I love that you have a story with it and wear it. Don’t sell it, ok you can when something more important is to buy and you can’t afford it.
I've seen Hulks that are M3 that have the M with space from the 0 and some M3 with the M close to the 0 wondering if this is the norm?
$50,000 watch this summer
Me as minor Rolex collector I wear my Hulk almost everyday and my next watch is the Starbucks sub or the new green sub but as everybody knows is almost impossible to get it. So I started to get a relationship with a Rolex AD and this last time I went there wearing my Hulk the first thing that struck me is that the AD seller had one wearing it. I asked him if I can try it on and the second thing that struck me was and nobody has talked about is the weight of both watches, I mean the difference between the hulk weight vs the Starbucks is really significant. If I wasn’t inside the Rolex Ad I will say it was fake. The Starbucks is almost similar on weight to my vintage sub transitional of 2009.
The price has gone back to around £15k, and I'd give anything for one. They now do the green bezel and black face one, so I'd have to go for one of those. Or the Tudor Harrods BB58, which I also adore.
Do you regret selling the VC Blue dial a few months ago rather than waiting till now to sell it when it’s selling for crazy amounts?

I bought mine for £13,600 earlier last year. Now it's going for nearly double. Pride and Pinion have one for sale for £25,500. It's crazy. Honestly don't know when the price will peak?

The Hulk is my grail, but I think Bruce's comments about it drawing the wrong attention hit home. I think even with a ton of discretionary income I will be going for a Zelos or Christopher Ward instead. I can enjoy them and not worry too much.
Zelos, Islander, Oris all make amazing watches for the price. I’d recommend the Oris Caliber 400. Obviously, the 400 movement is on another level than the Seiko Zelos and Islander usually use

Found and like me your channel. I am from the UK, and here almost all Rolex are unavailable except at 1.5 to x2 on grey market from flippers.
As a result I buy quality like Omega AT coaxial. 8900 is a brilliant almost Quartz accuracy. Mine is +1 second in over 3 months.
So as nice as the hulk is. Given the reported issues with some 32xx movements. How does it do .. or is yours older and 31xx with less problems?
To be honest I would add a 36m Black Explorer to my White dial on rubber AT Seamaster. If it were available here at RRP.but it's not, and frankly I think it's regardless not as good a movement.

I am not doing the grey market . do not get rid of it. * the hulk would match my HD ROAD KING CLASSIC , just right ( aquamarine green / cream colors ). be safe . ? what watch is next on your list BW ? ~ JDS/CT
i respect ur ownership, there is nothing wrong, but if u dont have much money, or just normal...dont feel hurt if it go back to 10k, then u will be fine, just dont care the value...market so crazy up then crazy down sometime
Mine is a 2019 for my son's birth year. This being said the 12 series is nicer on the wrist.
And just thik , you'll always be set for something to wear on St Patrick's Day for the rest of your life !!!

I purchased mine summer 2019 at retail. The only way I will ever sell this watch is if I can get an Olive Green Day Date for retail. Then at that point it's a no brainer for me

Hey Bruce, I would be surprised if there have been any sales above $20k for the "Hulk". Ebay and other marketplaces are littered with people asking crazy prices. But I have never seen an actual sale for $30k or above.
I have been offered by 2 watch dealers $26500 to buy my Hulk. It is unworn, brand new, full set. However they will be looking to make money on top of that price. So if you don’t think they are trading for well over $20k you are deluded.

It is strange how watches can have a low demand and then the market goes nuts just because of the hype around it. The hulk is cool but i feel like wearing one people will assume it is fake. Congrats on having a sweet piece of history

Until this video, if you asked me what I thought your signature watch was, I would have said a MM300; however, this has most definitely replaced that as your signature watch.
This is the problem with watch community thinking watches are investment and wealth vehicles while the truth outside Rolex and Patek almost the rest of watch brands and especially if bought at retail will lose value like every other consumer product but I have it to Rolex marketing they are very desirable and even most entry men watch will be thought of as an investment.
Of course you can't remember. Oh boy it was so fun when I sneaked into your house and got your Hulk and made this dent and some scratches on it. And do you know why I did it? Because I want one SO badly and I just effing can't! It was out of pure envy! Because I'm a watch villain! Nice video, Bruce!

my father in law wears a double red sea dweller on his wrist. it is his only watch and its worth about 50 grand, he got mugged in somewhere in virginia whilst working and they took his phone and wallet. phew
